This is indeed a wonderful thing. This is an opportunity for the likes of innoson to have a tractor brand...albeit in collaboration with the OEM. All in all, Nigeria has great minds. Let's keep them working for our good. |

There remains a fundermental issue that the Bayelsa elders have refused to address. VERY FEW of them understand the value of hard work, but rather indulge and engage themselves in activities that require "small work and great gain". Even if the government builds the best of equipped educational institutions and hired the best the best hands to run them, they still will not see the value of what has been done for them. But if you decide to "share the money", then you have made the day. I've had the opportunity to teach some of the kids in a particular community in Bayelsa, and my comment is SOLELY based on that experience. First of all, the smartest of the kids were from Delta state and they were siblings in the same class. In all honesty, I advised the ones who cared to listen that for them to have a chance at making something valuable of their lives, they will have attend higher institutions outside of their state. The environment does not help any of these children. Until the more enlightened sons and daughters go back home and encourage their people to adopt good values of hardwork and discipline, the situation will continually be like pouring water into a basket. Nothing in life is free, even God had to work. Bayelsans are great people, they just need to be guided. |
