Kmkdavida: Hello everyone, a friend of mine just told me he got a mail inviting him for a panel interview at union bank this weekend. We both did the deloitte interview since March this year. Pls any useful tips on possible questions? He was asked to bring his letter of appointment/offer/promotion in his former bank and 5 copies of his CV. Meanwhile, a former coliq that now works in Union bank said they interview candidates almost every week and new staff resume in his branch every month so that put to rest insinuations that recruitment had been suspended indefinitely. thegreatman4ww: The current contract staff were to be converted to regular staff subject to passing the convertion/apptitude test, this may delay if not put on hold the current GT 2014 recruitment programme schedule.

Are you very sure that assessment test is primarily for conversion? Because I learnt its to get the contract staff familiar with the normal e-learning stuff as it is done for the core staff.

A top management staff at the H/O confirmed it.

According to him, 1. The bank wanna close down some non profit making branches across major regions. And they will try to dissolve some of the staff of these branches to other branches and eject some.
2. There are some internal staff restructuring going on.
3. And they were some fraudulent acts perpetuated by some new intakes recently. I guess that majorly prompted the issue.

Emeka Emuwa (Union Bank's MD) has directed the HR department to suspend all recruitment (both graduate & experienced hire) indefinitely.

So u guys should just get yourselves busy.

Its depends on what u want. If you wanna follow your career line, you can stay where you are and I don't think the initial pay is up to 150k as you are gonna be a contract staff for some period before Zenith permanents you.

They just recruited for Union Bank (IT department) some weeks ago across different regions.
