Completing the compulsory year of national service in a good state is the dream of every intending corps member. In fact it has been proven that a good number of people who achieve professional success in Nigeria started out serving in good places. NYSC Lagos no doubt is one of the most popular choices of intending corps members. However, not much information is available about the true state of things in Lagos as well as other supposed “good states”. We copied this extracts from Jainda.com

Brief Review of Life in Lagos
Lagos is the former capital of Nigeria. It is widely regarded as the commercial capital of the country. Almost every intending youth corps member scrambles to be posted to Lagos mainly because of the perceived available opportunities. Don’t forget Lagos is a land of opportunities as it hosts most of Nigeria’s companies.

My name is Jainda, an ex corps member from Akwa Ibom. I served in Tarauni LGA of Kano State. I was asked to share this by a friend who will be serving in Kano this year. So, in this post we will review every necessary fact about NYSC Kano. If you need to know anything about service in Kano, I will advice you. Meanwhile, relax and read attentively. In case there is any other query we have not covered, please feel free to reach me. Hope you enjoy it, and learn one or two things.

First of all, let me start by assuring you that you have just made the best choice of your life, accepting to serve in Kano State. Kano is arguably the most populous state in Nigeria. It is the commercial capital of Northern Nigeria. Politically, it is the biggest state with 44 Local Government Areas. In terms of the volume of business, the state is only second to Lagos. In fact, it is safe to call it the Lagos of the North.
Serving in Kano may not seem enticing for an average southerner. This is especially due to the perceived religious and ideological extremism of the people. That notwithstanding, the state still gets filled to capacity year-in-year-out. Shockingly, most corps members...Read more here
