kandiikane: I find it hard to find products befitting my hair but it usually easier to find hair products for your daughters type of texture tbh. Oily products don't work for me, the oil just basically sits on my hair, looking oily without doing anything. You can try 'lustic organics carrot oil'-this works it moistures my hair but dries it slightly when it's drying. I mean I know you said you wanted your daughter's hair to stay in braids etc, so this may help in helping to reduce too much 'slickness'.That i my goal, find ONE to live with, instead of checking around MY mother surprised me today with some line of shampoo, deep conditioner etc that she got online, and she thinks it might work for her. ( Finally she agrees on the fact that the kid can not use the same as her.. ), so I`m gonna try it this weekend. Looks good, though; no parabenes, natural products, etc, etc.We use coco oil in the summer and it works GREAT. But the winterweather makes it hard and white. Living in a cold country..someone recommended me Argan OIl today as well, will put the carrot on the list with that one to try out. What is mayonaise range? Never heard of. |
kandiikane: Jallow instead of sitting here going on and on and on as if you're the first to have a half black child, why not do your research and order hair products of ebay or something? You can google kinkycurly or something like that, it's for people with a more curlier texture, mix kids, basically for all the various textures of black hair. You can get products for your kids there.I have already tried different kinds, I ain`t a fool, I have ordered as well, but they just don`t do the trick. And, ince I want to think about money in it all as well, it would be great to try to mix something up myself. I also use Ambla (...? ) in the summer for her, but like you said, it`s a little too oily for her hair, but perfect for the hubby. I would be happy if you find something that could work I am willing to try. |
Alaura-Laura:That is because in the pics, she have oil in it But the coco oil freezes in the winter, and makes her hair stiff. In the summer, it is perfect.I will take a picture and upload next time she has been sleeping with her hair loose. |
SniperInADiaper: How old is your daughter? She turned 2 in December All the cuteness in here is making my uterus jump as well, lol!How old is yours? |
Alaura-Laura:Lol. The only products people around me know is either for full african hair, or white people-hair, and neither one is working perfectly for my kids hair So blaaah.MsDarkSkin: wow..never knew that. They are crazy. |
omonikiba: this baby is cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, i love you so much. God vless your parent and you too. muahhhhhhhhhhhhhhAaaw, thank you ![]() Heres one form a carnival in her kindergarden:

The molester should be put in jail, beaten, and then given therapy in jail for the next 10 years. At least. If anyone did this to my daughter, I...I don`t even know. I would probably kill. |
mr skincare: Yes back to topic.Well, since you have the name that you have.. My daughter is half gambian, and get curly hair, but it dries out damn fast. I want to use natural products on it, and I will go to some naija-shops in the capital, but..any tips on keeping the hair moist? It only takes her one day before she starts getting dreadlocks in the back when it is not braided.. |
kandiikane:And that is the reason I stay far, far away from that area..I have seen that before, though; Gambians who grew up outside come home, and they can spot you in five minutes, it is insane. And now, back to topic ![]() |
