Had a bad experience today with a Nairalander who is a potential land buyer at our obafemi-owode axis. We have a principle never to leave our office to arrange inspection for clients unless they pay a commitment fee which covers our transport or they come pick us at the office and drop us back due to past experiences about clients messing up appointments.

We have operated with this rule since Day1 and some client even got angry why they should be responsible for our transport to n fro, we made them realise time and resources wastage and we have been fine since then.

I have been speaking with someone from here for the past one week and he wanted us to meet on the land, I told him our rule and he appealed for an exception. He said he will cover our transport to n fro. Initially I refused but I don't know what came over me and I accepted to use our resources to come down. He gave us time to meet and we got to the meeting point ON TIME( those that have dealt with me on here know I meet up with meetings at set time). Not only did this client not show up he made us wait for 2 hrs!! Yes good 2 hrs before I knew he is a time waster. How is ogere toll gate same as shagham interchange?? I wouldn't have been so pissed if not for my other engagements that I couldn't attend to.

Those that have done business with me on here know I will go extra mile to satisfy you which was what I did today, so it isn't about the money, it is about me keeping my word. We all need to change our approach to business as failed promises kill business growth and relationship.

Now we are back to our 'GUNS'..no site inspection if you can't come down to our office or send us commitment fee. All buyers we have had picked either one of these.
