aerator depends on the model and your pocket size. i used 10-hose aerator which cost 26,000. yes it is necessary to have an aerator once they fries are out of the hatching vat but not totally compulsory. those who hatch with flowing stream/river do not use aerators. construction of wooden vat depends on cost of material in ur end. at my end here, it cost about 5000 to set on up. from fries, it takes about 6 weeks for the fries to mature to fingerlings. it could be earlier or delayed depending on your parent stock and handling.
