Definitely some will sell because they have made at least 100% on their investment (assuming they bought at N0.50k). So, it is good investment.

ihedioramma: I ASK U SOME THING, HAS FTN PAY DVD OR BONUS BEFOR? LIKE WHAT PRICE DO U THINK TO SELL?
Yes, FTNCOCOA has paid both bonus and dividend before. Paid bonus in 2008 and dividend in 2010.

Price to SELL? Hmn, it's up to you. But for me, I target N1.00K (100%), then I will THINK whether to sell or not. grin

Born 2be Rich: My brother, there is a saying that once bitten twice shy...Dont ever test the depth of a river with both feets..

Did you notice how the market reacted today to IEI bad resulthuh...

Anyhow sha, i cant stop you from buying what you want, the only thing is that dont say you werent warned...trade with caution always...

Me i don dey plan my exist move small small make i see wetin go happen...
Surely, once beaten, twice shy but I assure you that this is not the time to panic. cheesy

For your information, I was terribly panel-beaten by the last stock collapse. That was so because I didn't know much about stock investing and economic recession. Now that I know, stocks go see pepper for my hand.

Bros, result of IEI which you talked about is that of 2012 (Am I right?), which still falls within the doom era for most companies. This is the reason why in my earlier post, I advised us to over-look past non-performance of companies and stocks. If you want to judge any company, wait till the end of 2013 or even 2014. Don't dwell too much on jargons like EPS, DIVIDENDS, BONUSES etc, for now; wait until end of 2013 and above.

Cheers.

PS: FTNCOCOA and C&I LEASING have stepped out of the car park today. I am very happy because I was already comfortably sitted in the buses before this movement. grin

Born 2be Rich: Dead stock are rising everyday...Guys be cautious so as not to allow the same thing that happened in 2008 happen again....

Btw the market is attractive and tempting...

Good luck guys...Today is good
Not so soon, bros. grin

From what I read about economic recession, it happens every 4 - 7 years. That is to say this BULL season will continue for at least 4 years before another recession. I also gathered that recession normally lasts for a period of 2-3 years. but the one of 2008 to 2012 is about 5 years! shocked shocked But the good news is that I read also that the longer the recession, the longer and stronger will be the boom/bull period. So, now is the time to plant your seeds without FEAR.

Keep on investing, brethren.

OP,
You are not owing your mum and dad N51k but N48k. Mathematically, you cannot add profit and loss i.e N3k is profit and N48k is loss. What you should have done was to subtract N3K from N48K to have N45K. That is to say, if you are ready to use the N3K to settle debt, you are now owing your dad and mum N45K, otherwise you are owing N48K and NOT N51K.

The N1k came from your wrong mathematical approach.

feelamong: Yes in the Bull season.. Penny stocks are king cos they could give you 100% return. But I will advise to also pick some of the good Blue chips with sound fundamentals cos when the Bears come along, they are more stable and resistant to major drops in prices! Moreover penny stocks are not very liquid! You could get stuck in there for a very very long time!
Thanks oga mi.

Yes, I am in the spirit of the bull season and I will be with penny stocks until the ministry moves to the permanent site. grin grin.

I like blue chips too but I don't have the financial muscle to face them. More over, I hate having just a few quantity of shares, you know this biz is a game of number. But with penny stocks, my small capital will make me look like the chairman of the company grin grin But in all, and on the final analysis, any approach that yields money for you should be followed.

Keep on investing.

diluminati: go to your bank and tell them to stop sending you alerts. there is no need blowing hot air
That is not the issue. The issue is that they deduct money from the account any how. Take for instance, I did one transfer of money and I got about 4 alerts on it and I was made to pay for those alerts.
Business › Should Banks Charge Customers For Unsolicited SMS Alerts? by jamace(op): 10:22pm On Feb 10, 2013
Banks Are Stealing From Customers Through Alerts

Can you imagine my banks deducting money from my account for sending me alert when I withdraw or deposit money? Again, during festive periods, say Sallah and Christmas, banks send best wishes message to me but charge my account for it. Is that right? What about deductions made from my account for an unsolicited birthday wish by the bank? Is it proper? When I think of the customer base of these banks and the amount they make, I feel the banks are fleecing the customers illegally.

I feel deductions due to unsolicited best wishes on festive days and customers birthdays by banks should be borne by the banks.

House, do you observe this and what do you have to say about it?
