"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." Helen Keller |
Yes, govt should blacklist erring contractors. Failure to carry out contractual agreement is corruption. If the govt can do this, it will be reducing corruption in an area, and is a step towards the overall anti-corruption war. |

"Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens." John Homer Miller |

I need some advice from those among us who are experts in stock broking in Nigeria. I recently learned that my stock broker's company has been liquidated. Their license has been withdrawn by NSE. Some years ago, I bought some shares on the stock market through them. Thereafter, when I sensed a drop in the quality of service they were offering to me, I tried to transfer my shares to another stock broking firm, but my broker kept cooking up rooster and bull stories about how difficult it is to get "management in Lagos" to sign off on my transfer request. He suggested I sell the shares altogether - an advice I was not keen to heed since I regarded those stocks as long term investments.Meet your present stockbroker and tell them your intention. They will direct/advise you accordingly. |

Our leaders are insincere in resolving the problem in Jos and Nigeria as a whole. Many times some perpertrators of the crimes have been arrested but no prosecution. Many times some serving military/police personnel have been arrested for complicity in the Jos saga but nothing comes out of them. Many times illegal explosives dealers have been arrested in Jos, we only heard of the arrests and nothing more. As far as I know, our leaders are playing politics with the whole issue. On the other hand, our judges and policemen in Jos are smilling to the banks because of the arrested and released criminals who are bailed by their sponsors with huge sums of money. The whole episode is the normal deceptive attitude of our leaders, playing politics to preserve their positions and status at the detriment of the innocent citizens. Our leaders have failed us. I imploy the masses to defend themselves in the best way they can. |

In a democracy, the judiciary remains the key disciplinarian of the society. But when the judiciary has such rot, how can the nation win the war against corruption? As far as I am concern, the corruption in this country has continued unabated for the single fact that the judiciary is even more corrupt. The problem is not with GEJ being weak. It is not with the EFCC failing to nab criminals. It is about the judiciary failing to tackle corrupt officials brought before it for judgement. |

"Learn from the past. Set vivid, detailed goals for the future. And live in the only moment of time over which you have any control - now." Denis Waitley |
At the rate in which Nigerians, including security personnel, are hustling for kudi, owo and ego these days, Boko Haram can easily find an ally in an insider by merely flashing kudi, owo and ego at his face. ![]() |
People should stop pre-empting that old cargo. He is expired and worn out. He knows Nigerians can no longer be taken for a ride. If you think he does not know, let's hear from him. |
If this is true, I see them joining hands with BokoHaram to shatter Nigeria. Security agencies should be up and doing to fish them out now before it becomes too late, |
