Jokes EtcHe Plays Better Than You. Now What? by jamerflepz(op): 12:05pm On Feb 23
He Plays Better Than You. Now What? undecided

You heard me right. He plays better than you.

His chords are cleaner.
His runs are faster.
His timing is tighter.

You've watched him play live.
You’ve watched his videos.
Zoomed into his fingers.
Replayed that one clip that made you question your entire musical journey.

And for a moment… you felt small.

But here’s what nobody says:
Someone is watching you thinking the same thing.

The music space is wide. In Lagos alone, there are hundreds of instrumentalists... trained, gifted, disciplined and hungry.

If your confidence is built on being “the best,” you will live in constant anxiety.

Because you are not the best.

And that’s okay.

The goal was never to outplay everyone.
The goal is to outgrow who you were last year.

Competition is real.
But uniqueness is stronger.

Nobody has your exact tone.
Your exact journey.
Your exact interpretation.

Two drummers can play the same beat and it won’t feel the same.

So instead of asking,
“Is he better than me?”

Ask,
“Am I better than I was?”

Let his excellence stretch you.
Let it humble you.
But don’t let it silence you.

Somewhere... in a church, in a studio session, in a room you haven’t entered yet, your sound fits perfectly.

And that’s partly why platforms like GigZone exist, not to rank who is best, but to create room for different sounds to be seen.

Keep building.
Your lane is waiting.

Nice one. I need A keyboardist Sunday morning 10 to 11:30. 5k. Iju ishaga area. No dull connect now.
Nice one 👍
I’ve helped put the gig up on GigZone already so musicians can see it properly and apply easily.

I will quote you with any update from applicants. Next time you can post directly yourself too. It takes like a minute and it helps you reach more serious musicians.

You can check it here: gigzone.lovable.app

Let’s get you the right keyboardist 💯
Jobs/VacanciesPaid Keyboardist Needed In Ikeja, And Something I Noticed About Instrumentslists by jamerflepz(op): 6:09pm On Feb 10
I’ve noticed something lately…

Many skilled instrumentalists are actually available,
and many churches/events genuinely need musicians.

But somehow they rarely meet.

Most gigs move through WhatsApp groups, personal networks, or “who you know.”
If you’re not inside those circles, you might never hear about the opportunity.

Right now, a church in Ikeja is looking for a disciplined keyboardist
(paid role, structured team).

Instead of keeping the opportunity in private circles,
I decided to post it openly.

I also built a small platform called GigZone to help musicians and gig providers connect more easily. Still early stage but growing.

If you play (or know someone who does), just search “GigZone Lovable” on Google and you should find it easily.
Or drop a comment and I can point you directly.

And honestly… I’d also like to hear from musicians:

Is finding gigs harder now than before?

Jokes EtcBible + Meme = Holy Cruise by jamerflepz(op): 1:49pm On Jun 19, 2025
Just two memes that had me laughing and reflecting at the same time 😂📖
Gospel with flavor >>>

I’ve always believed the gospel is powerful, but I’m starting to see how creativity can help carry it further.
Lately, I’ve been mixing scripture with humor — not to joke about the Word, but to show how real and relatable it is.

So I started dropping one gospel meme a day — just one — and it’s been blessing people in a way I didn’t expect.
Not motivational quotes.
Not recycled internet jokes.
Just good old Holy Banter — the kind that hits your spirit and your funny bone at the same time 😅🔥

Christianity EtcSeriously, Is Christ Enough For You? by jamerflepz(op): 8:08am On Jun 05, 2025
CHRIST IS ENOUGH FOR ME⚡⚽

✨ Paris Saint Germain (PSG) just won the Champions League — style, goals, glory!
Your friends expected you to switch sides.
"Come and support the champions na!"
But you’re still wearing that Chelsea jersey.
Still shouting "Up Arsenal!"
Still believing in Man U, even if your blood pressure says otherwise. 😂

✨ Why?
Because it’s not just about the winning.
It’s about loyalty. Love. Conviction.
You’ve seen the highs and the lows — and still, you stay.
No shiny trophy can lure you away.

✨ Now imagine what we have in Christ. 🙌
More than football. More than feelings.
More than fortune, fame, or anything this world has to offer.

✨ We’ve found the real treasure. And we’re not switching.
No matter the noise.
No matter what the world "wins."

🔸 “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.”
— Psalm 73:25

🔹 “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
— John 14:6

✨ So yes, the world may be shouting PSG…
But we’re rooted in Christ.
Through thick and thin.
Christ is enough for me — no transfer window!

God bless you 🙏

Jokes EtcConfessions Of A Nigerian Drummer (I) by jamerflepz(op): 8:23am On May 15, 2025
THE SEE FINISH SYNDROME

Confession: Sometimes I wonder if my only sin was being consistent. Because the more they saw me, the less they saw me.

There’s something that happens to drummers who have served faithfully in the same church for too long—it’s called see finish.

At first, they’ll hype you:
“Wow! This guy sabi!”
“Where did he learn?”
“Anointed hands!”

Fast forward a few months: You play the same groove you played before and someone mutters, “He’s tired.”

Then one random guest drummer comes, plays seven ghost notes and two rimshots, and suddenly the same people are shaking like they just entered revival.

You?
You’re now the background noise.

The painful part? They’ll start comparing you… in front of you:
“That guest drummer ehn… he was just flowing in the spirit. So smooth!” Meanwhile, you’ve been flowing in that same spirit for years, even fasting before services, but nobody noticed.

It’s not just painful. It’s insulting. Sometimes you even think of not showing up, just to see if they’ll miss you. Spoiler alert: they won’t. Until the guest drummer is unavailable… then they’ll text you, “Hi. Are you free on Sunday?” Yes.

That’s when you suddenly become valuable again. Like suya at midnight.

But here’s the thing: don’t let see finish finish you. God saw you before they did, and He still sees you when they don’t. So keep playing. Keep growing. And if they ever forget who you are, let your groove remind them.

Peace.

Christianity EtcWisdom:be Wise Like A Serpent by jamerflepz(op): 2:48am On May 23, 2024
Hello, my people! Today, we go talk about wisdom. No be the kind wey you dey use to dodge traffic for Lagos o, but the kind wey dey make you stand gidigba for God.

You see, being wise like a serpent no mean say you go dey sly or dey do corner-corner things. E mean say you go hold tight to wetin God talk, no shaking, no matter the gbege wey dey happen around you.

Na so the Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, dem talk say dem no go bow for any golden statue, even if fire dey wait for them. Dem trust God pass how fish trust water. That na the kain wisdom we dey talk about!

Some people don think say serpent na bad news because na im the devil use deceive Eve. But no be so! To be wise as a serpent mean say you sabi the game well-well, you no go let anything shake your faith.

So, my brothers and sisters, make we choose to stand with God. No let the small-small wahala of life make you fold like say na gala wrapper. Stand firm, be like soldier for Christ. Even if the whole world dey go left, you, my friend, go dey go right, follow the way wey God don show you.

And remember, no matter the palava, no matter the katakata, God dey your side. You be soldier for the Most High, no be time to slack. Choose to be wise like the serpent, choose to stand with God.

Make we laugh small, but carry this message for mind: no let your faith fold like say na origami. Stand strong, my people, stand strong.

Very necessary. grin

We love the ease of explanation and colors.

If you were using Python, I believe you wouldn't need to go back and do a dashboard, as you could have them inline. Would be interested to see you pull off the same SQL stunts strictly with Python, no SQL imports wink
Lol. Thou shall not tempt me. To pull that off I would have to do a collabo with chat gpt. Python not my go to for analysis, unless necessary. I'll pass on this your challenge grin

But why don't you like dashboards? cheesy
Lol. I like dashboards. For every dataset I analyse with MySQL, I always complement it with a dashboard or visualize using Python. Always. But not this particular dataset. Don't think a dashboard is necessary.
ProgrammingRe: Can Gamification Improve Students' Grades In Statistics? Lets Analyze Together by jamerflepz(op): 12:21am On Mar 22, 2023
Final Analysis cheesy

After examining the dataset provided, I have gained insights into whether the use of the gamified app has positively impacted the students' experience and academic performance.

From the results above you can see that:

* 47.83% of the students demonstrated an improvement in their grades after using the gamified app.

*27.54% of students also demonstrated an improvement in their grade even without utilizing the gamified app.

*15.94% of students experienced a decline in their grade using the gamified app.

*8.70% of students also experience a decline in their grade without making use of the gamified app.

Based on the analysis, it appears that the gamified app had a positive impact on the performance of the students who used it, as indicated by the 47.83% improvement in their grades. However, it is also important to note that some students who used the app experienced a decline in performance, which suggests that the app may not be effective for everyone.

To fully evaluate the impact of the gamified app on student performance, it would be helpful to conduct further analysis and consider other factors that could have influenced the results. For example, it would be useful to compare the performance of students who used the app with those who did not, taking into account any differences in their prior knowledge of statistics, motivation, and study habits. Additionally, it may be beneficial to collect qualitative data from students to understand their experiences with the app and how it affected their learning.

Thank You For Your Time. If I find myself in that analytical mood grin I might analyze this data again but with a dashboard this time.

Thank You.

Peace cool

The image below provides a visual representation of the total number of students in the dataset. It shows the distribution of the students who used the gamified app and those who did not, as well as the total number of students who participated in the study. This information can give us a better understanding of the sample size and help us to make more accurate conclusions about the impact of the gamified app on student performance in statistics.

ProgrammingCan Gamification Improve Students' Grades In Statistics? Lets Analyze Together by jamerflepz(op): 11:20pm On Mar 21, 2023
Have you ever wondered if gamification can improve students' grades in statistics? In this analysis, we'll take a closer look at a dataset from a gamified learning application with interactive flashcards and badges. The dataset includes data on various variables, such as practice exam grades, final exam grades, and user engagement with the platform. Using MySQL, I was able to analyze the data and uncovered some interesting insights.

Ready to learn about gamification? You're in the right place.

Gamification is the use of game design elements in non-game contexts to engage and motivate people to accomplish tasks or achieve goals. In education, gamification is often used to make learning more fun and interactive by adding game-like features such as points, badges, levels, and leaderboards to educational activities. The goal is to increase student engagement and motivation, which in turn can lead to improved learning outcomes.

So, let's dive in and see if gamification has made a significant impact on students' grades.

Below is a visual representation of the dataset, giving you an idea of how the information is structured.

ChatGPT! ChatGPT!! ChatGPT!!!

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI. It is trained on a diverse set of internet text, and can be fine-tuned for a variety of language tasks such as question answering, language translation, and text completion. It is based on the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) architecture, which uses deep learning to generate human-like text.

ChatGPT is in vogue right now and its crazy what this AI tool can do.

So, as a data analyst I decided to play around with this tool and see what I can do with it.

So, HERE WE GO...…..

First I wanted to see if this tool could generate a sample dataset. I asked ChatGPT to generate a sample dataset on Nigerian music revenue and this is what it showed.

a) The first pic shows the result from the question asked. It was able to generate a table with 5 columns and 20 rows just like I asked it to. cool cool

b) The second pics is just like the first but please look at the note below.... This is not a real dataset and should not be used for real analysis or decision making. IT IS NOT REAL. Thank you. grin

The Fourth(4) Table.

Like I said earlier I joined 3 tables instead of the 4 listed above.

WHY? coz this table really didn't fit for my analysis. It is an independent dataset smiley. Joining it with the others will modify my analysis and affect my insights from the dataset.

BUT.

This is what the table looks like. And as you can this table shows the teams and the number of times they have been in the top four (4) i.e. reaching the semi-finals. It shows the number of times a country has won the cup (first-place), runner-up(second-place), third place and the fourth place. The asterisk on the year means the country hosted the world cup that year.

And That is all I have for you today.

Thank you for you time.

And as you can see from the result "Just Fontaine" is the player with the highest number of goals in a single world cup tournament.

b) The second pics shows the list of golden glove winners and the number of clean sheet kept by this goal keepers. Looking at the query you would notice the "where golden_glove <> not awarded" this means that from 1930 - 1994 there was no golden glove award. The only started giving the golden glove award from 1998.
