I secured an MPOwer Loan for fall2024, however I didn't go ahead with the process.
I have an offer for Fall 2025, I'm concerned about the chances of visa approval with M power loan.

Please is it advisable to use MPOwer Loan as POF or use someone else's account for proof of funds.

I need your guidance guys, I need your wisdom to navigate this.

Have you tried pushing for an assistantship from your department? You can achieve a lot before Fall 2025

Got to the embassy and did all the necessary processes like fingerprints and document checks.
Interview proper.
VO: Good morning, can I have your passport and document.
Me: Good morning VO, here they are.
VO: (Going through my 1-20)what type of Assistantship
Me: Research Assistantship.
VO: ok(She begin to type)
VO: So why temple University
Me: Out of 3 University I applied to,I chose temple university based on their research out and the Research facility at school of Engineering which align perfectly when to my career
VO: ok good (continue typing)
VO: What do you plan to do with this degree?
Me: Upon completion of this degree, I intend to return to my current work place here in Nigeria and take up a more senior lecturer at my current place of work, will also be working with stakeholders and industry on the best alternative and effective ways of removing water from waste water (lol,funny me,how can u remove water from waste water)
Vo:she nod and she ok(continues typing )
VO:She look at me with the expression of what can I still ask this ijesa man) she said,you said you are going to come back to take the role of senior lecturer and establish a consulting firm
Me:i reply sharply with Yes
Vo:ok,so what is the salary scale you will be earning per month
Me: (don’t prepare for it) I said i am currently earning 350000k and with with my Phd degree,my salary with increased to 500000k and with the income from my consultancy work, my total income per month should be around 1.2 million naira.
Vo:ok(continue typing)
VOshe look at me)are you married
Me: yes, I am married with a kid
Vo: is she not joining you
Me: I am still explaining that ,she is currently busy at her working place.Vo cuts me
Vo: (looking straight to me, she was like wetin dey worry this ijesa man) I ask you is she join you Yes or No
Me:I said yes,she will be visiting me during her annual leave and i also will be visiting her during holidays
Vo: she said OK
VO: (she continues typing, pick white paper)she said I am approving your visa,this paper will tell you how to pick ur passport and endeavour to go with your I-20 wen travelling.
Me:I said OK ma(I just bounce outside) as I come out to pick my phone (two security officers, call me back,and asked me,how was it,I replied fine)
I want to return all glory to God, for seeing me through the interview process, i also Want thank everyone who have contributed in one way or the other ,i really appreciate you guys ,thanks so much....

Has anyone noticed any significant difference in pre-approval request wait times between Lagos and Abuja? Is anyone faster?

I've been stuck at pre-approval for Lagos for more than a month now. Is it advisable to try Abuja with fresh visa fees payment?
