I went to Ghana once and stared open mouthed as Ghanaians who had never been to Nigeria or barely had a lot of a Nigerian friends identified Ndi Yoruba names and Ndigbo names separately.

There were also able to identify Yoruba people as cloths and food traders that have been there for long and Igbo as spare parts trades that arrived relatively lately.
