No need for Igbo to cooperate with Yoruba, we can always take care of ourselves, we don't need to gum body with anyone.

Since 1999, we've produced President twice, vice president once, speaker thrice..... Igbos come to our region to hustle, we don't go to theirs. It's them that need us to level up, we don't need them.

Politics / Re: Niger Army Officer Accuses Nigerian Government Of Protecting Bandits by JAMO84: 1:55pm On Jun 09
Rubbish

Imagine I am the President, so I will just order the security forces to spare a terrorist, give him protection to continue killing, so that the World can see me as a great leader abi?

Or imagine I am the governor, I will just protect the bad guys so everyone will hail and give me a landslide victory in the next election.

Meanwhile, this issue of government protecting terrorists, we've been hearing it since the time of Yar Adua. Yar Adua Jonathan, Buhari, Tinubu, all of them are terrorists protectors according to some illogical human being.

Unless you can give me a logical reason why a President or Governor would protect a terrorist destroying his government image, don't quote me, otherwise, God will destroy you this year.

Politics / Re: Minimum Wage: N60,000 Can’t Even Buy A Bag Of Rice – Ozekhome by JAMO84: 7:36pm On Jun 06
I don't know if some people are ignorant or they choose to deliberately misinform the people.

Minimum wage might be 30k now, but nobody that works for the government actually earn 30k, unless of course, where it wasn't properly implemented.

Minimum wage is basic salary, excluding allowances and overtimes. Someone on a 60k minimum wage might end up earning close to 100k after statutory deductions.

Most one Nigerianists are dumb so I'm not surprised when they know little to nothing about their Zoo.

To change the constitution, you need absolute majority which the south east can not achieve alone, so we actually need you people to break us free in peace or we work our way around it through other means.
How can you even attain majority with the amount of senatorial zones and LGAs the north has in proportion to the rest of the country.
Do you also need me to write and present the bill or move the motion on the floor of the national assembly?

First step is to force your useless leaders in the Bifra#ud nation to set secession in motion, but of course, you have no genuine intention of leaving, just hoping you will be compensated with presidency if you make enough trouble.

So zik was not even the one that made the decision, he only debated in favour of it? The final decision was in the hands of a Brit... Who had already made up his mind not to include succession before zik debated?

If they can change national anthem they can change the Constitution this is not even a debate
So which of your legislators has moved the motion or submitted a bill to the effect of changing the Constitution to let Biafra go?

You blame everyone for your own misery except your leaders. You want Biafra but it's others that must help you get it, you can't do it yourself.

Azikwe made sure Nigeria is indivisible, but his children are crying all over social media today, telling ordinary citizens like me to let them go, as if I used rope to tie them.

The army personnel needs can never be enough, in fact, Nigerian army has always been understaffed since 15 years ago. Do not compare CBN to the Army, it's not logical.

Politics / Re: Honour To Whom Honour Is Due (3) Father Or Fathers Of African Literature by JAMO84: 7:50am On Jun 05
ariesbull:

He rejected that award. He wrote

Achebe in a letter rejected the invitation to submit his work for Nobel prize consideration.

Refer to pages 152-153 of STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART, edited with an introduction by Ezenwa-Ohaeto.

The Noble Prize Committee invited many African writers including Chinua Achebe to submit their works for consideration. Achebe rejected the invitation through a letter which took him out of the running for the Nobel.
Here is the content of the letter to the Conveners of the 2nd African Writers Conference in Stockholm:

"I regret I cannot accept your generous invitation for the simple reason that I do not consider it appropriate for Africans to assemble in European capitals in 1986 to discuss the future of their literature. In my humble opinion, it smacks too much of those constitutional conferences arranged in London and Paris for our pre-independence political leaders. Believe me, this is not an attempt to belittle the efforts and concern of your organization or indeed, of the Swedish people who have repeatedly demonstrated their solidarity with African aspirations in many different ways. But I strongly believe that the time is overdue for Africans, especially African writers, to begin to take the initiative in deciding the things that concern them."

CHINUA ACHEBE'S REACTION TO SOYINKA'S NOBEL PRIZE

"Wole Soyinka has stupendous energy and vitality, eminently deserving of any honour. In terms of what it means for African literature, it's simply an indication that the Western European literary establishment is now aware of African literature. I said as president of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) that it was very interesting that one of us had shown that we could beat the white man at his own game..."

.
Achebe accepted the International Booker prize in the UK

Peace prize for the international book trade in Germany

And several others from the whites, but somehow, you want me to believe that he rejected the biggest of his life because of his hatred for the whites?

Oga leave story.

Even if Achebe invented literature, he did not win the highest award in literature.

Achebe can take the father of African literature honour, Soyinka will take the greatest African writer.
