Education / Re: I See Membership Of Alumni Whatsapp Groups As WASTE Of Time: Am I Wrong? by janedonez(m): 8:07am On Apr 17
VinnyBaba:

In my Secondary School and University WhatsApp groups,
I hardly Comment or make contributions. sad

I see them online talking about social media trends, Our School days, Visitations, etc and I always Wonder 'Do these Pple have Jobs and ambitions?'.

I talked to a Friend of mine About this and he said 'I am Anti-Social or an Introvert'. embarassed

But Really, I see those Alumni WhatsApp Groups as an Organization of Time Wasters. undecided

HOW ABOUT YOU?
Comment.
Nplfmod.

True, especially those University groups where there was no sincere cohesion and bonding during school days, whatever they are doing now is just a waste of time because those negative perception will still be in the minds of many amongst them. Everyone should just Face themselves or mini groups that they share Same ideologies together.

My Uni Class mates could best be described as evil & treacherous. The only that got us together then was the schools administration, otherwise we had nothing in common to show that love ever existed.
Some of them felt exams was their sure way to achieving their goals in life, woe betide you if on exam day you ask them anything, not as if you didn't prepare but just a little reminder you will be snubbed😎, is that the. same person you will wish to share any space with again in life? Not again

If I may ask ? How many mil did you add to your snap sack sprayer..

The Sprayer is a 20Ltr Size but the Chemical content wasn't more than one and half bottle cover of plastic bottle

You most definitely had some herbicides in the machine used for the spraying.
This wasn't the case here, those Sprayers were carefully Kept for Pest Spraying and not herbicides.

spraying late in the morning follow by hot weather can also burn the plants especially with high dosage, Anything apart from these simply mean the chemical is fake coz most pesticides can be used for wide varieties of plants without any side effect.
The farm was sprayed in the evening most times

This is where the error comes. If you follow what is in the label, the error like this will comes up. You need need a pint of it to attack insects on beans. Too much concentration will attack both the beans and the insects but not the plant because DD Force not meant for plant.
I can attest that the quantity of chemical used per sprayer was so minute

You should have used laraforce or topup like 10 ml per 16ltrs knapsack sprayer.
I will avaoid any chemical that has to do with Force.

I guess you didn't get how to mix it with water right. If the content of the bottle is actually DD Force, then this is a concentration problem

Its not concentration problem, I even under mixed the Chemical,I can't believe the mixing is the challenge

Are you sure you didn't use the same sprayer for herbicide previously? Sometimes you think you've washed it but it'll affect your plants?
That Sprayer was exclusively for Spraying the Beans for Insects and not for Killing grasses

Dear janedonez, application of DD force to your beans farm is not the reason why your beans farm is failing. DD force is not a herbicide like others have stated so it can't burn ur beans. It's an insecticide too but it cannot perform the function you it to perform.
There lots of insects and worms that attack any beans even when planted at your backyarf/garden. So you need some certain insecticides to ward off these insects and let me mention it here that there is no single insecticide capable of maintaining your farm from production to harvest but rather you need combination of chemicals, right dose and application at the right time.
Please find below step by step actions needed on your beans farm.
Hint: you will need atleast the combination of two chemicals with these two reaction ingredients.
1. Lambda cyhalotrin.
2. Dimethoate.
Depending on the variety of beans you planted, I. E, the 40 days gestation type or the normal beans of 60 days gestation. What these numbers stand for is they will start flowering at those days, 40 or 60 days depending on the type.
So soon as you noticed the first flower in your farm, then you commence spraying immediately. Note, it's better to ward off insects from your farm than trying to kill them after invasion! Beans insects are very STUBORN. This spraying at the start should be done every four days interval. This should continue until pods are developed and getting close to maturity. This will be like around 5 to 6 weeks spraying. Thereafter, your beans will be noticeable now as in big beans pods but not dried yet. You can then increase the spraying interval to once in 7 days.
In mixing your chemicals, the lambda cyhalotrin component should be like 80/100mls per 16ltr spraying can. The dimethoate should be like 30 or 35mls per 16ltr spraying can too.
Example of cyhalotrin is lara force, judo, CYPERKING, cypermetrin etc
Example of dimethoate is dime force 40ec or sconpion.
So you should continue to spray your farm up until it start to dry and brown then you can stop spraying while you wait for harvest.
Warning: early stoppage of spraying can destroy your lovely beans farm so one or two weeks mistake can ruined all efforts put into your farm for 3months.
See here a sample of a very effective dimethoate.
You can reach me on belsanol@gmail.com for further discussion on beans farming please.

Thank you so much for the detailed counsel, I have been into beans farming for close to five years now, the only difference now is that I expanded to bigger land portions and bought more varieties of beans. I followed every precaution's step needed, but the only difference is applying DD FORCE for the first time since I began farming. Take a look at the picture attached, you will notice stains or black spots, those are the DDForce stains

DD Force doesn't kills plants. It's either you have leftover herbicide in your Knappsack or you bought fake chemical or maybe you applied it in excess. Anything more than 30ml will burn your crops.

I suspect fake Chemical here

Two things can be the cause, probably you used a spraying tank used to spray herbicides or the used a very high concentration of the insecticide.
The Sprayer had not been used for Herbicides, it was strictly used for the Insecticide, as for the Concentration level, it was according to stipulated guideline from the DD Force label.

It's likely the spraying machine you used contains leftover of herbicide inside and you didn't rinse it properly before use. This has happened to my friend before.
Not so, that Sprayer was totally free from any other usage

As a farmer why on earth will you spray chemicals on cash crops?

Wat were you trying to achieve?

Kill the weeds? Or what ? I don’t understand.
Its not just spraying Chemicals, the aim to protect your the Crops from Pests that will eventually ravaged all the crops making the Farmer run at loss

Herbicide has never been used in that Spraying Machine, at least in the Period of 3Months when I was handling the farm with full dedication.

Check your mixing ratio.
The mixing ratio was not the issue, I even under mixed the chemical with the Water, I was even thought the Chemical won't be effective only for that disaster to occurs. Really lost heavy Money that I borrowed to support the farm work

Highly concentrated, not diluted properly caused the burns and the seed was already infected before chemical was applied!
The level of concentration was done according to stipulated guideline, those seeds were purchased from approved seed centre.

two way things it's either the company did d mistake or the person himself mixed the DD with the glyphosate.Or ;there was a mix up in the container. Smell the container if it still has DD smell then it was likely mixed some where surely not you but the seller.get away from him next time I wish to but such sensitive chemicala

Mixture is less likely to be the issue but Product adulteration

This looks like herbicide burn.. maybe he sold you Paraquat or glyphosate he had left over in his hand..

Farming is all about learning from failures..

Lesson: , buy from a reputable agro store

If it's too bad cut your losses, re-clear the land, and think of your next crop

Edit:

OR: maybe you didn't flush out your sprayer..maybe it had some cups of herbicide in it and you added the dd force to it... Sprayers must be flushed with clean water after each use

The flushing aspect is out of this, I didn't spray herbicides during the period

I did Beans farming to help sustain livelihood, unfortunately, the DD Force Chemical I applied destroyed all my Beans. I don't know what to do.

When I was offered the Chemical, I objected but the Dealer insisted that it was the appropriate Chemical to use, after going through the Label I also read that it can used plants such as Maize, beans and others.
