Politics / BMO Hails Nigerians For Ejecting A Return To Profligacy by janetdaniels201: 11:23am On Feb 25, 2019
BMO hails Nigerians for ejecting a return to profligacy

The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has hailed Nigerians for voting for continuity by giving President Muhammadu Buhari a resounding approval for a second term in office.
This it said is an expression of confidence in the ability of the President and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to take Nigerians to the next level of prosperity.
BMO said in a statement signed by its Chairman Niyi Akinsiju and Secretary Cassidy Madueke that the widespread national support showed that Nigerians are not prepared to toy with the nation’s future.
“We were convinced that President Buhari would defeat his main challenger Atiku Abubakar by a wide margin and we made that clear on the eve of the Presidential election but it seems Nigerians were even more determined to deny the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) a return to power at the centre.
“From the hinterlands of Kano to the urban centre in Kwara, the real voters who have felt the impact of the President’s first term in office have expressed absolute confidence in his economic diversification drive, his anti-corruption war as well as his resolve to make the country safer.
“A fresh term freely given by the Nigerian people would certainly translate to a completion of the nationwide rail network that would transcend the nation’s capital cities and sea ports as well as continuation of road and power infrastructure.
“We at BMO congratulate all Nigerians for resisting the massive pressure from opposition elements for a return to a past of ruinous profligacy and abandoned projects”, it said.
The group also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the improved logistic arrangement but urged it to ensure that the process ends on a successful note.
“The Election Management Body has done a good job of resolving the initial logistic nightmare even though there were a few hitches in some parts of the country but the job won’t be completed until collation of results from the 176,000 polling centres is completed.
“We fully endorse the alert issued by the spokesman of APC Presidential Campaign Council Festus Keyamo of plans to disrupt the coalition process in many parts of the country with a view to rendering the election inconclusive.
“We hope that INEC is taking the warning seriously but we are also encouraged by the readiness of majority of Nigerians to protect their votes until the election’s Chief Returning Officer Mahmood Yakubu gets the final results”, BMO said.
BMO also praised security agencies for doing a great job of ensuring a peaceful process in spite of pockets of violence in a handful of states.
It urged the authorities to ensure that everyone arrested for instigating violence is prosecuted according to the laws of the land.
Politics / We Call For The Immediate Arrest Of Alhaji Buba Galadima As Pdp And Atiku's Camp by janetdaniels201: 3:30pm On Feb 24, 2019
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2019

PRESS RELEASE BY APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL:

WE CALL FOR THE IMMEDIATE ARREST OF ALHAJI BUBA GALADIMA AS PDP AND ATIKU'S CAMPAIGN PERFECT PLANS TO RELEASE FAKE PRESIDENTIAL RESULTS AHEAD OF INEC; PLANS TO MOBILISE HOODLUMS FOR CHOREOGRAPHED PROTESTS

Devastated by authentic results filtering out of polling units nationwide, our usual sources within the camp of the PDP have informed us that an emergency meeting of the main opposition party has been summoned for today somewhere in Abuja.

Top on the agenda of the PDP is to activate the last strand of their Dubai strategies that have since collapsed like a pack of cards: they plan to release fake results of the Presidential Election later today or early Monday morning that they claim to have compiled themselves.

Our information is that they aim to create crises and confusion that will lead to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar claiming victory in a day or two from today ahead of the official announcement of the results by INEC. Then, what would follow will be some carefully choreographed protests by pockets of hoodlums in some parts of the country. The ultimate aim is to curry the sympathy of our foreign friends and push us to the Venezuela situation.

Our call is therefore to INEC, NIGERIA BROADCASTING COMMISSION and all law-enforcement agencies to continually warn the PDP and all their surrogates like the amorphous CUPP and their likes that anyone who flouts the law on announcement of official results will be made to face the law. Opposition does not confer immunity on anyone to flout the law.

In preparation for this reckless move, some PDP social media agents are already flying some kites on-line as to the number of States allegedly 'won' by PDP. In fact, Alhaji Buba Galadima, an official spokesperson for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has made a short video announcing PDP as the 'winner' of the Presidential Election. As an official spokesperson, he is clearly acting on behalf of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and on his instruction. We, therefore call for the immediate arrest, interrogation and prosecution of Alhaji Buba Galadima in this regard. The world is watching and waiting on Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to say something on the video by Alhaji Buba Galadima.

Consequently, we urge all well-meaning Nigerians, the International Community and even reasonable members of the Opposition not to be bought by these cheap antics of the PDP. Let's restrain our wards from being used by these unscrupulous elements. Nigeria will continue to exist after this election.

Over the years, the PDP had been declared 'winner' of Presidential elections under controversial circumstances. On those occasions, President Muhammadu Buhari never took laws into his hands and declared himself President. He also never declared parallel results. He availed himself of constitutional means to address his grievance by approaching the law courts.

Their latest devilish plot against the country is a clear indication that their apology to the Nigerian people was just a hoax. They have learnt nothing and they have forgotten nothing as they just cannot win any election fair and square.

Thank you.

Politics / President Buhari’s Apc In Early Lead by janetdaniels201: 11:44pm On Feb 23, 2019
PRESIDENT BUHARI’S APC IN EARLY LEAD

Results emerging from our findings, reports from observers and situations rooms across the country have shown that President Muhammadu Buhari’s party the All Progressive Congress (APC) is having an early lead across the country.

Results from States such as Kastina, Adamawa, Gombe, Kwara, have shown the President emerging victorious with very wide margins against his major contender, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Significantly the President won in his polling unit with 523 votes to 3 for the PDP. President Buhari also won the votes cast in Atiku’s polling unit scoring 186 votes while Mr Abubakar scored 167. He also won in Gombe State Governor, Dankwabo’s polling unit. In Kwara State the All Progressive Congress also won the majority of votes cast in all 11 councils of the Ilorin Emirates.

Despite bombardment and reports of violence in Borno State, the All Progressive Congress has still proved a formidable force with several results showing the All Progressive Congress in an early lead even while results are still being compiled and trickle in particularly at the ward and polling unit level.

Analysts say the incumbent, President Buhari would win with a wide margin.

In some states such as Ebonyi states violence was recorded while state such as Rivers recorded large scale violence and shootings. In states such as Kaduna, late voting was recorded while in Benue state cases of no voting in some wards due to violence and shootings were recorded.

The President is also in an early lead in most results that have trickled in from Niger, Nasarawa and Ogun States. President Buhari is reported to have won the polling units of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. It is recalled that former President Obasanjo has been one of those pushing against a second term for President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recent decampee and now a major player in APC’s influence in the South-South, Senator Godswill Akpabio won his polling unit for the President, with 1,553 votes against PDP’s 11 votes.

Osinbajo’s convoy not attacked in Kwara – Presidency

The Presidency has dismissed media reports that the convoy of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was attacked on Thursday in Ilorin, capital of Kwara.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Publicity, Office of the Vice President, 'Laolu Akande described the media and social media as false.

He also explained that VP Osinbajo did not make his scheduled trip to Abia because of time constraints. “Let me clarify two issues,” Mr. Akande tweeted on Friday.

“VP Osinbajo’s convoy was not attacked yesterday in Ilorin, Kwara. The reported gunshots were after the VP left the venue.

“Secondly, due only to time constraints yesterday, VP couldn’t go to Abia from Kwara as earlier billed. He will surely make the Abia State trip soonest,” he added.

Prof Osinbajo was in Kwara State on Thursday in continuation of the Next Level engagements after the Independent National Electoral Commission had lifted a one week ban on campaigns across the country.

This is the second time in two days that the Vice President had had to dismiss fake news peddled against him.

On Wednesday night, speaking at a meeting with young Christian leaders in Lagos, Prof. Osinbajo debunked the fake news of his purported resignation being circulated on some social media platforms.

The VP emphasized that he has not resigned his position in the Buhari administration, and described the false information as “deliberate propaganda.”

He said, “Today (Wednesday), they’ve been spreading some information around that I’ve resigned. They said I didn’t attend a security meeting yesterday. I was too busy in my office.

“The same security people were meeting with me that same evening. Must I attend every meeting? Can’t the President hold a meeting with the security chiefs without me? They said I was so angry that they didn’t bring me to that meeting, that I was excluded, then I resigned! I have not resigned.”

NATIONAL BROADCAST BY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI
ON FRIDAY 22ND FEBRUARY 2019

Dear Nigerians,

Finally, we have reached the eve of the rescheduled first round of this year’s general elections.

2. Tomorrow, the polls open. Tomorrow, we affirm that Nigeria stands as a democracy and that no worldly hand can deter us from this wise and fitting path we have chosen for ourselves.

3. While democracy is the most beneficial way to select a nation’s leaders, it is far from the easiest thing to achieve and maintain.

4. It requires a combination of patience, tolerance, compassion, diligence, wisdom and hope. These traits exist in us the Nigerian people. Because of who we are, democracy has the chance to flourish in this land.

5. Thus, I commend all of you for your patience and peaceful conduct so far during this electoral season and especially during this intervening week following the postponement of the February 16 elections.

6. Many were worried and thought the worst might happen. You proved them wrong by showing that you are a great people with an abiding love for peace, democracy and the unity of our country.

7. According to the daily INEC public briefings given this week, the Electoral Commission says it is ready and fully prepared to conduct the election in a free, fair and transparent manner.

8. I believe INEC realises the profound and weighty duty that rests upon it.

9. We must cast aside doubt and have faith that INEC will rise to the occasion. We must believe and encourage INEC to fulfill and honour this responsibility it owes to our country.

10. As your President, I hereby ask all Nigerians with voting cards to participate in defining the future of our nation by exercising your democratic rights tomorrow. I urge you to go out and vote.

11. I say this because elections are the cornerstone of representative governance. And voting constitutes the highest and best expression of the sovereign will of the people to choose the government that best represents them.

12. It is only upon the freely expressed will of the people that government truly dedicated to the welfare, rights and interests of the people can be founded.

13. Do not allow anyone to discourage you from the exercise of your rights as citizens and voters tomorrow.

14. To vote means that you believe in Nigeria and the excellent things the future holds for this nation and its people.

15. No matter our political leanings, we all believe in Nigeria, in the noble principles for which it stands and in the values we strive for our beloved nation to uphold.

16. All who are able, must vote so that we may better perfect this democracy and continue to build the greater nation we seek.

17. Do not be afraid of rumours of violence and unrest. Our security agencies have worked diligently to ensure that adequate security measures are in place.

18. You will be able to vote in an atmosphere of openness and peace, devoid of fear from threat or intimidation.

19. International and domestic monitors and observers are assured of their safety and freedom of movement needed to perform their important functions.

20. As we thank domestic monitors and observers for their contributions to our democracy, we also thank the international groups for the friendship and concern they have demonstrated to our nation.

21. We appreciate their efforts in encouraging us to further entrench and strengthen our democracy.

22. Tomorrow is an encounter with history in which you, the people, shall affirm your collective belief in our national greatness and in our future.

23. I ask that you embrace and hold on to the importance of the moment soon to be upon us.

24. Honour your civic duty as voters by going to the polls tomorrow to vote for the government of your choice, for the government that will lead Nigeria toward its finest destiny.

25. As citizens there is no greater duty than this and no greater honour. Tomorrow, I know you will once again make Nigeria proud of its people.

May God bless our democracy and forever bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

TWO ATIKU MOLES CAUGHT IN APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL

Two suspected PDP moles have been caught at the Presidential Campaign Office Central Area, Abuja.

The suspects were apprehended on the 20th February, 2019 and interrogations identified them as Victor Omieza and Dosunmu Oluwatosin David.

It was discovered that they were from the People's Democratic Party and investigation revealed that these men came into the campaign premises to spy and get as much information as they could on the activities of the All progressives Congress under the disguise of being journalists by attending press briefings at the conference hall of the campaign office with some of the party’s directors.

Further investigations revealed that Mr Victor had called Rt Hon Yakubu while Mr Dosunmu also called Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to feed them about the activities at the campaign council.

As at the time of this report, the situation is  under investigation and the suspects will be prosecuted if found guilty.

The suspects later signed an undertaking that any time their attention is needed for further investigations, they will be readily available to comply with any invitation received.

“This situation shows the desperation of the opposition party and their strange appetite for all election wrongdoings.” A staff at the APC Presidential Campaign Council said.

Politics / REPORT: Polls Shift: INEC Chairman, Yakubu, Compromised by janetdaniels201: 5:04pm On Feb 18, 2019
REPORT: Polls Shift: INEC Chairman, Yakubu, Compromised

There are indications that the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has been compromised in respect of conducting the 2019 general elections, impeccable sources have revealed.

The revelation came on the heels of the postponement of the elections by a week from Saturday, February 16 based on logistical challeges allegedly faced by the electoral commission occasioned by bad weather and sabotage.

However, there are misgivings and dissatisfaction within tjr political circle as there are accusations and counter-accusations between the two leading political parties - All Progressives Congresss (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

But the head of the commission may be acting a script as people in charge of relevant agencies responsible for INEC logistics have denied the logistics claim, saying the nation's weather was good days to the scheduled day of the elections and the airports were ordered to operate 24 hours in order to deliver critical electoral materials across the country.

The Minister of State for Transportation (Aviation), Hadi Sirika and the leadership of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) have all put a lie to the INEC chairman's claim of bad weather as one of the reasons for the election postponement.

Also, Prof Yakubu has been acting alone within the INEC structure, thereby sidelining the most experienced National Commissioners - Mr Lekki and Hajiya Amina Zakari - while working with a close knit group that has be compromised  by the opposition.

"Professor Ibeano is said to be closely coordinating with Professor Chidi Odinkalu and indeed, the six-point plan of the INEC chairman was never discussed within INEC or with his commissioners," one of the sources revealed.

It also been discovered that since the stakeholders meeting pf last Saturday, the chairman is yet to meet his team as the national commissioners were at home on Sunday despite efforts to keep the situation room open.

Insider sources confided in our reporter that the INEC chairman is working against the ruling APC, saying that the logistics issue and trying to hold elections without adequate preparations were designed to suppress APC votes and it took the insistence of some national commissioners, who are disposed to the fair conduct of the polls, to ensure the postponement was done in order to demobilise saboteurs.

"Initially, their goal was to force elections with shoddy logistics and announce results with high degree of low turnouts from APC strongholds.

"Interestingly, the INEC chairman has been sitting at the Abuja Airport since Friday. No one knows what he is clearing and for what. It means there is a possibility that alternative election materials are being cleared as all clearings have been concluded since and INEC is not using Abuja airport as major incoming hub. Indeed nothing can be done at airport that can’t be done elsewhere under these circumstances," another source said.

Meanwhile, Prof Yakubu's express pronouncement on Saturday that there is no more campaigns by the political parties is another cause for concern, as there are indications that it might be a kind of fait accompli regarding the election results.

"If he (INEC chairman) is not compromised, why will he do that? Campaigns can only stop 24 hours to the elections as specified by the Electoral Act. So, why he is going against the law if there is no deal with some people against others," he added.
Politics / Revealed: How Saraki Masterminded Election Postponement by janetdaniels201: 3:13pm On Feb 18, 2019
REVEALED: HOW SARAKI MASTERMINDED ELECTION POSTPONEMENT

It has been revealed that the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki masterminded the postponement of the Presidential elections.

In a desperate move, Saraki is reported to have warned the INEC Chairman that if he was not going to furnish him with slots to nominate persons to sensitive INEC positions he would frustrate the passage of his budget.

A source close to the INEC Chairman disclosed that the National Assembly deliberately refused to touch INEC’s budget up until November 2018, knowing that his budget was to be sourced from borrowed funds.

“This plot was masterminded by the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki to perfect the rigging plans of the PDP, either by having his way with his nominees or by delaying the elections and frustrating INEC.” the source revealed.

It is recalled that funds were not disbursed until December 2018, this made things difficult for INEC which had to import some of its electoral materials.

*BREAKING NEWS!!!!*

It has been revealed that Atiku in coneivance with persons in the GOP led Trump administration had planned to massively hack into INEC System and rig the elections in Atiku's favour.

This was revealed in the last minutes leading to the cancelled and postponed elections by the Nigerian Intelligence Machinery in partnership some world leading Intelligence Agencies.
The plan was to hack into INEC System with the help of some high ranking INEC Systems Analysts in collaboration with some hackers loyal to the Trump/Atiku's cause and have the election massively rigged to favour Atiku.

It should be recalled that Atiku who was formerly declared wanted by the US on crimes ranging from money laundering, etc all of a sudden was just recently permitted to enter America with the help of a leading GOP Congressman.

It has also been revealed that Atiku agreed at the meeting with said congressman and agents loyal to Trump recently in America that he will open the doors of the Nigerian Crude Oil to them and also sell NNPC to them in the name of privatization if they help swing the results of the election in his favour by any means.

Don't be surprised if we start hearing that the federal government has embarked on the sacking and arrest of some key INEC Personnels and some highly placed individuals who were part of this elaborate evil plan against the Nigerian People.

It must also be recalled that Atiku in one of his recent interviews vowed to "enrich" his friends when elected as the president of Nigeria and privatize(sell) NNPC by all means even if it leads to his death. Those comments were assurance to the congressman and Trump/his agents that he is ready to hold his part of the deal even if it costs his life, if they help him win the election.

We must give kudos to the Nigerian Intelligence Machinery for their superb work and timely revelation. We would have been at the mercy of this evil plot if INEC had not intervened immediately by cancelling and postponing the elections.

It became necessary to immediately postpone the elections so that INEC can reprogram their systems and fish out all the bad elements within it's ranks that have sold out to and currently loyal to the Trump/Atiku's hacking plans.

Atiku's desperation to become the President of Nigeria and grab hold of the last of our Commonwealth knows no bounds and must be prevented at all cost.

We say no to a Traitor!
We say no to a Thief!
We say no to a desperate agent of foreign manipulatoin!
God bless INEC!
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
God bless you all!!!

Politics / Statement By President Buhari On The Postponement Of General Elections By Inec by janetdaniels201: 11:44am On Feb 16, 2019
STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

STATEMENT BY PRESIDENT BUHARI ON THE POSTPONEMENT OF GENERAL ELECTIONS BY INEC

I am deeply disappointed that despite the long notice given and our preparations both locally and internationally, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) postponed the Presidential and National Assembly elections within hours of its commencement.

Many Nigerians have traveled to various locations to exercise their right to vote, and international observers are gathered.

INEC themselves have given assurances, day after day and almost hour after hour that they are in complete readiness for the elections. We and all our citizens believed them.

This administration has ensured that we do not interfere in any way with the work of INEC except to ensure that all funds were released to the commission.

We now urge INEC to ensure not only that materials already distributed are safe and do not get into wrong hands, but that everything is done to avoid the lapses that resulted in this unfortunate postponement, and ensure a free and fair election on the rescheduled dates.

While I reaffirm my strong commitment to the independence, neutrality of the electoral umpire and the sanctity of the electoral process and ballot, I urge all political stakeholders and Nigerians to continue to rally round INEC at this trying national moment in our democratic journey.

I, therefore, appeal to all Nigerians to refrain from all civil disorder and remain peaceful, patriotic and united to ensure that no force or conspiracy derail our democratic development.

I have decided to move back to Abuja to ensure that the 14.00 hrs meeting called by INEC with all stakeholders is successful.

Politics / We Condemn The Postponement Of The Elections, But Urge Our Teeming Supporters To by janetdaniels201: 10:24am On Feb 16, 2019
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2019

PRESS STATEMENT BY APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL ON POSTPONEMENT OF THE PRESIDENTIAL/NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND GUBERNATORIAL/HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS:

WE CONDEMN THE POSTPONEMENT OF THE ELECTIONS, BUT URGE OUR TEEMING SUPPORTERS TO BE PATIENT AND DETERMINED

We have just received with great disappointment and disillusionment the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of its decision to postpone the Presidential/National Assembly and Gubernatorial/House of Assembly Elections to Saturday, February 23, 2019 and Saturday, March 9, 2019, respectively.

We condemn and deprecate this tardiness of the electoral umpire in the strongest terms possible. President Muhammadu Buhari had since cooperated fully with INEC by ensuring EVERYTHING it demanded to conduct free and fair elections were promptly made available to it. This news is therefore a huge disappointment to us and to our teeming supporters nationwide and around the world, many of whom have come into the country to exercise their franchise.

We do hope that INEC will remain neutral and impartial in this process as the rumor mill is agog with the suggestion that this postponement has been orchestrated in collusion with the main opposition, the PDP, that was NEVER ready for this election. We note that all the major credible demographic projections have predicted a defeat of the PDP and it seriously needed this breather to orchestrate more devious strategies to try and halt President Buhari’s momentum. It did the same as the ruling Party in 2015, when it realized the game was up, by orchestrating the postponement of the 2015 elections by six weeks. Now, it may be up to its old trick again.

We have earlier raised the alarm that the PDP is bent on discrediting this process the moment it realized it cannot make up the numbers to win this election. We are only urging INEC not collude with the PDP on this. We are truly worried because as early as Friday morning, some known PDP Social Media influencers unwittingly announced this postponement, but quickly deleted the message and apologized to the public that it was fake news. We do not want to be forced to a situation of announcing our total loss of confidence in INEC, because we know where that would leave our democracy.

It is in the light of the above that we wish to appeal to Nigerians and our supporters to be patient, calm and resolute despite this temporary setback. Let us not give anyone, especially the PDP, the opportunity to plunge this nation into a crises, which is what they earnestly desire. Its imminent defeat is just a few days away.

Lastly, we wish to draw the attention of INEC and the world to observe that the PDP has clearly and openly said it plans to announce parallel results through some funny device it has procured or developed. We wish to re-iterate that it is ONLY INEC that is legally and constitutionally empowered to declare results and it constitutes an offence for anyone to do so. We urge INEC to SPEAK UP NOW and warn the PDP to desist from this ignoble act that is capable of plunging the nation into a crises of immeasurable proportions.

Thank you

*A vote for Buhari is a vote for our future*

Tomorrow, February I6 is the day Nigerians will be going to the polls to decide who will be the President of Nigeria for the next 4 years.

I encourage you to vote for President Muhammed Buhari, because President Muhammadu Buhari does not have any interests in amassing wealth, and that’s why he doesn’t own oil wells and foreign accounts.

PMB is not in collusion with anyone to share or embezzle the wealth of our nation.

Buhari as a retired Head of State, his pension, savings, farms and other entitlements are in a way sufficient for him to cater for his family.

President Muhammadu Buhari is saving irrespective of what they say or do, his making our refineries work and diversifying our economy irrespective of what they say or do, his enforcing policies that keep the hands of monkeys out of our general pot irrespective of what they say or do.

The job is not perfect neither is it complete but his definitely on it and I can assure you, he will not give up.

To talk of Infrastructure, power, Education, Social Investment Programme and lot more is a way of him providing jobs for the youth, all we need to do is to cast our vote for him and pray for him to have the strength to govern us well.

Nigeria cannot survive with the conscienceless and overbearing influence of these supposed owners of Nigeria, who secretly command every facet of our nation's socioeconomic and political life.

Let’s join him in the rescue of this nation. Make no mistakes about this, 2019 is between Nigeria and the supposed owners of Nigeria.

A greater future is in our hands.

God Bless You and God Bless Nigeria

INEC REFUSING ACCREDITATION TO APC AGENTS IN ZAMFARA STATE

The Independent National Electoral Commission in Zamfara State is refusing to accredit agents of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Feelers from the State headquarters of INEC indicate that APC agents are being refused accreditation to represent the party at polling units on account of the party not having a gubernatorial candidate in the State.

An on-ground election monitor notes that the refusal by INEC to accredit APC agents is a curious and unjust decision, especially in consideration of the fact that gubernatorial election will not hold until March 2, 2019. Tomorrow, February 16 elections are for the office of the President and members of the National Assembly.

“APC should engage the INEC at the highest possible level, the presidential election is not the same as the gubernatorial election so why would the agents be denied accreditation” the Election Monitor observed.

BREAKING NEWS APC NEXT LEVEL BEWARE
Please kindly treat this information with urgency.

I just got a sensitive secret information this morning during the time the PDP came for campaign in my community today.

All PDP members were directed to get to the voting center latest by 7:00 am and be on the queue that a specific PDP agent will be on the line and will be the last person to vote after which the agent will signal to the INEC officials and with the cooperation of the security, voting will be stopped and other party members will not be able to cast their votes.

They even promised that PDP members will be settled financially first at a specific spot and they will ALL move at the same time to the voting venue.

They did it successfully during the governorship election after the INEC officially discovered that the remaining voters on the queue are APC

Please ,sensitise ALL APC members to get to the polling center by 7:00am The God of heaven will arise in his power and mercy and cancel every of their plans in the name of God Almighty

God has given us victory, but we must strategise.

*How Buhari saved over N83 billion through Hajj reforms*

*By Zee Agunbiade*

If anyone tells you that President Muhammadu Buhari is planning to Islamise Nigeria, just show this to them and walk away. This is enough education for those that want to learn.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has said decisions taken by President Muhammadu Buhari and the reforms introduced by the commission has saved Nigeria pilgrims over N83 billion during Hajj operations in 2017.

• The practice in the past was for presidents to give concessionary exchange rates for pilgrims going to Hajj. For instance, while the official exchange rate of $1 to the naira was N190 in 2016, President Goodluck Jonathan had earlier granted a concession which reduced the exchange rate to N160 for $1, the government therefore, subsidized each dollar with N30.

• Buhari abolished the practice and also granted NAHCON approval to fix a flat BTA for all pilgrims. “Because of the concession, and because there were three types of Hajj seats at then, which were minimum, medium and maximum, often differentiated by BTA, one person will pay for say 200 persons and then connive with a financial institution to collect the subsidised BTA and then give the pilgrims pittance. It therefore, became an illegal business venture for some people,” - Fatima Usara, Head of Public Affairs at NAHCON

• The management of NAHCON led by Abdullahi Mohammed came into office in 2015 and one of the first decisions he took after meeting with the NAHCON chairman was to abolish the practice of federal government’s sponsorship of a delegation to hajj annually.

• The decision alone saved the government N1.6 billion annually. Also, NAHCON in 2017 decided to abolish the use of middle men in securing accommodation for Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. Instead, the commission deals directly with home owners which saved the country over $14 million.

• NAHCON said another reform introduced in 2017 regarding Hadaya (sacrificial animal) has saved pilgrims N1.6 billion. The reform sees the introduction of Jaiz Bank to work in conjunction with Islamic Development Bank to collect monies meant for the purchase of sacrificial animals from the pilgrims and issue them coupons.

• If not for the new scheme Nigerian pilgrims “would have been defrauded of N1.6 billion.” NAHCON in 2016 refunded N1.5 billion to pilgrims for services poorly rendered to them, adding “due to improved services in 2017” the figure refunded to pilgrims came down to N527 million.

• As the commission continues preparation for Hajj 2019 it is already fully utilising the Hajj development levy collected by upgrading Hajj departure centres in some states across the country. The commission intends to kick start the Hajj saving scheme introduced earlier in 2018, while a Hajj training institute meant to train Hajj managers, intending pilgrims and the general public.

• NAHCON is heading towards self-funding to reduce the burden on government.
Politics / Re: Osinbajo, An Enemy Of Yoruba People by janetdaniels201: 11:05am On Feb 13, 2019
BOSF PRESS RELEASE

RE: OSINBAJO, AN ENEMY OF YORUBA PEOPLE

The leadership of Buhari Osinbajo Solidarity Front came across a publication on Vanguard Newspaper. In the publication, there was a very wrong and incorrect incitement on the person of our principal, the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

The publication was engineered by a factional and disgraceful so called sets of Afenifere Group led by Pa Reuben Fasoranti.

It was mainly published to discredit the hard-earned image, reputation, personality and integrity of the vice president - as who he is, been a typical, qualified and proud member of Yoruba race with high standard.

Pa Reuben Fasoranti and his co travellers gave false account and gross misrepresentation on the person of the vice president as "an enemy of Yoruba people by not championing the region's interest in the All Progressive Congress led government".

This assertion is copiously incorrect and borne out of mind full of greed, and unfriendly with good reforms.

BOSF want to firstly advise Nigerians, especially the Yoruba people to be careful and very cautious of who they listen to and identify as their voice. It is not hyperbolic that people like Pa Reuben Fasoranti and his misinformed apologists are working against the genuine and truest interest of the Yoruba race, when ordinarily their voice do not stand for the Yorubas.

It is gravely risky for the Yorubas to watch and allow those sets of people, who in all ramifications have no singular respect and position for good governance and adequate fair representation. What other interest should the vice president have expect the success of various infrastructural development in the region, the involvement of Yorubas in governments and appointments, the inclusiveness of Yorubas in N-Power beneficiaries, Home Grown School Feeding Programme, and others?

The fake group alleged on basis that they are misinformed or decided to misguide themselves or they have granted their emotion the power to cloud their judgements.

“Osinbajo is hanging on the Fulani to work against Yoruba interest when our people are getting killed in their farms by Fulani herdsmen Osinbajo did not say anything."
“When we are talking about restructuring , Osinbajo is arguing against restructuring and all the Yoruba want is restructuring , so when Osinbajo is working against restructuring, he is not for Yoruba people" “So we cannot support APC because of Osinbajo, who has turned himself to the enemy of Yoruba." - they claimed.

The above quotation is one of the wrong and misguided assertions made by the group. They have argued Fulani herdsmen and restructuring baselessly and insincerely.

It is very laughable to claim the vice president is "hanging on the Fulani to work against the Yoruba...". Such statement is capable enough of causing disunity, as a result can birth crisis.

The effect of Fulani herdsmen(which is now a narrative of the past) possess a collective threat to all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, ethnic nationalities, religion and all diversities. The vice president interest is as similar to that of a typical and patriotic Nigerian, which is finding a lasting and sustainable panacea to all challenges, the unholy activities of the Fulani Herdsmen inclusive.

The group must have expected the vice president to give hate speeches capable enough of causing further security threat and intimidation from all sides - that the vice president will not do as a national figure, specifically as a patriotic Nigerian and importantly as a cultured and well mannered Yoruba race.

What is good and sane for any serious government has been done, which is getting rid of the security challenge of the herdsmen. We believe Pa Reuben interest is personal to him and his Afenifere faction. Their claims are obviously not correct in any extent.

The PDP candidate they endorsed was a former vice president, who under his nose and that of his boss watched Nigerians to die massively under Fulani herdsmen attack without arrangement and preparation to arrest the situation. The then president was a Yoruba man, who we believe they will have endorse for third, forth and even more terms they so wish as president, we can not be amazed, that is who they have used to be.

Pa Reuben Fasoranti fake Afenifere group went ahead to claim the vice president is against restructuring. This is equally laughable and baseless. Or could it be that he suffers from amnesia?

The vice president have always explain himself as a lead frontier of restructuring and true federalism in Nigeria. BOSF will love to awake their sleeping/dead minds.

When he(vice President) was an Anthony General of Lagos state under Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Lagos state governor, their was a serious and long fight and agitation for restructuring. Lagos wanted to create more local governments and inclusively allow them to benefit directly from the state treasure. There was a serious plan to enable Lagos be independent in all spheres.

Lagos brought out reasonable plans for restructuring. The vice president team wanted and rigorously campaigned for restructuring, Atiku Abubakar as the then vice president turned deaf hears to the cries and agitations. He equally used all apparatus within his reach to fight back the stand, at the national assembly and even at the court of law. This is someone Pa Fasoranti and co Afenifere group endorsed as their candidate. Is that not shameful?

They noted, “That the Atiku endorsement is based on the following reasons; shared commitment to restructuring Nigeria to guaranty true federalism, need to promote the feelings of inclusiveness and sense of belonging amongst Nigerians and promote much desired national patriotism and unity."

We see this antagonistic and very hypocritical. How will someone who is an enemy of restructuring guarantee it suddenly. We understand it is merely to score cheap political points, but Nigerians, especially Yorubas are not freaked. The group failed to justify the vice president truest stand on restructuring but decided to paint him otherwise. We will not allow them to rewrite history for Nigerians.

We understand their notions and missions. We understand that they have used to be one of direct beneficiaries of PDP's misrule and mismanagement of public funds via shadow kinds of endorsements. They are thus pained that such free fraudulent gesture is not extended to them any longer. They live on that as means of survival. Hungry fishes will want to consume their feeders at expense of unmet overfed.

Nigerians, both home and in the diaspora must be concious and very mindful of fake agents who suddenly want to become the spokespersons of the Yoruba kingdom. Pa Reuben Fasanranti is unrecognized as a figure of reckoning in the Yoruba land. Himself and Co travellers are mere apologists who want attention and be able to feed their starving stomachs of hunger.

All Yoruba race can identify Pa Ayo Fasanmi as the authentic leader of Afenifere Egbe Ilosiwaju Ile Yoruba. He is an octogenarian who has lived meaningful percentage of his life in pure service to Yoruba race and with the sage, Late Pa Obafemi Awolowo(the image maker of Yoruba nationhood). He is actively involved and fully part of all nationalist movements led by Late Awolowo for Yoruba land. He is seen as a man of impregnable quality and untainted integrity whose voice largely count for the Yoruba race.

Pa Fasanmi stand to represent the genuine Yoruba people with the likes of Elder Yemi Slade of Ekiti, Prince Tajudeen Plus of Lagos, Prof Bayonile Ademodi of Ondo, Chief S.M Ademodi of Oyo and H.E Sooko Adewoyin of Osun. Anyone trying to contest the voice of Yoruba with these great men are wasting time and causing self serious grief. Yoruba nationhood recorgnises her voice and leaders.

Pa Reuben and co are free to endorse whosoever they wish, but, they should not make it to appear as a general endorsement or the choice of Yoruba.

The authentic Afenifere led Pa Ayo Fasanmi has made their endorsement for President Muhammadu Buhari and Prof Yemi Osinbajo. They fairly justified that the duo led federal government has satisfied the yearnings of Yoruba land and of course Nigerians, thus, they deserve reelection.

Nigerians and Yorubas will definitely stand by men of integrity who in all respects and regards are taming the exotic taste of our nationhood.

The choice of the Yorubas on February 16, 2019 presidential poll will vividly show that Yorubas are ungrateful and not against progress and development of the country. It will definitely reflect the mandate of President Muhammadu Buhari and Prof Yemi Osinbajo. As Nigerians walk to February 16, we urge all to remain resilient and keep faith with the gospel of Next Level.

Thanks and God bless.

Feb. 16 poll: Any vote not for Buhari is a waste - Gen. Bajowa

A retired Major-Gen. Olu Bajowa, the Chairman of Legacy Forum, a unit of the Buhari support organization, says that any vote not for President Muhammadu Buhari re-election will be a waste come Feb. 16 poll.

Bajowa stated this at Igbotako during a stakeholders' meeting of the All Progressives congress( APC) across the 13 wards of Okitipupa Local Government of Ondo State.

The meeting was in furtherance of Gen. Bajowa's bid to ensure massive grassroots votes are garnered for President Buhari, who is seeking a second term in office in the Feb. 16 election.

Legacy Forum has been in the forefront of the campaign for the sustainability of good governance which the body maintains that the Buhari government stands for.

The chairman of the group appealed to all and sundry to deliver their individual votes for Buhari/ Osinbajo, saying the duo were better positioned to take the country out of the woods.

The retired General enjoined voters in the forthcoming election to cast their votes to Buhari so that there would be landslide victory, assuring that the president would not disappoint Nigerian populace if reelected.

According to him, opinions and other parameters are indicating victory for the president.

He noted that the group had been sensitising the public about the need for Nigerians to support the Buhari presidency so that "the next level" would become achievable for all Nigerians.

The chairman stated that President Buhari had a lot of things working in his favour among which are: integrity and accountability, good governance and anti corruption posture, ensuring security and infrastructure drive which was equal to none.

Bajowa flanked by his wife, Mrs Yemi Bajowa, urged electorate not to sell their votes and that they should shun violence, saying 'politics is not do or die affair'.

"My advice is that people should not sell their votes as vote buying and selling amount to trading off peoples' future and that of their children.

"On the day of the election, electorate should vote and not fight and but guard their votes jealously ," Bajowa said.

Also speaking, Mr Bode Ikulala, the APC chairman in the local government area, thanked the Legacy Forum and Bajowa for associating with the party at this auspicious time.

Ikulala added that the party at the local council area, state level and the national level would not forget the depth of support given by the retired General.

He reassured him that the party was very popular in the grassroots and that they would go with the progressives than associating with those who had stolen the country blind in the time past.

The meeting had in attendance all APC ward executives in the 13 wards of the local government area.
Politics / Strong Momentum & Continuous Growth In Economy Further Show Buhari Administratio by janetdaniels201: 6:31pm On Feb 12, 2019
STRONG MOMENTUM & CONTINUOUS GROWTH IN ECONOMY FURTHER SHOW BUHARI ADMINISTRATION'S POLICIES WORKING

*2018 overall reflects sustained improvement in non-oil sector

In what is a clear indication of the effectiveness of the economic policies of the Buhari presidency, Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) figures recorded a marked improvement in the fourth quarter of 2018.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, the GDP figure for the last quarter in 2018 is 2.38 per cent, reflecting continuous growth.

Below is a statement released in response to the new GDP figure by the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters, Dr. Adeyemi Dipeolu:

"The latest figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics, 2.38 per cent for the fourth Quarter (Q4), 2018 show an appreciable improvement in the growth performance of the economy. The figures are encouraging in several respects.

Notably, the growth recorded in the fourth quarter of 2018 (Q4 2018) was higher than both the growth of 1.81% in Q3 2018 and in the corresponding fourth quarter of 2017. Indeed, quarter-on-quarter growth from Q3 2018 to Q4 2018 was 5.31%, which signals a great potential for a higher annual growth rate.

In annual terms, the growth rate more than doubled in 2018, rising to 1.93% as compared to 0.82% in 2017, again reflecting the strong momentum of growth.

Also notable is the fact that growth in Q4 2018, and indeed for the whole year, owed a great deal to the performance of the non-oil sector. The non-oil sector grew at 2.7% in Q4 2018 as compared to 1.14% in the oil sector. The non-oil sector also grew by 2% in the whole year 2018 which was considerably better than its growth in the whole of 2017, which was 0.47%. The share of the non-oil sector in GDP was 92.94% while the oil sector contributed 7.06%.

With the maintenance of this trend, the economic diversification objectives of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan are well on their way to being met.

It was encouraging that agriculture which accounts for 26.15% of total GDP grew by 2.46% in Q4 2018, while manufacturing grew by 2.09%. The service sector which accounts for 53.62% of GDP registered its strongest growth performance in 11 quarters.

Transport and storage, as well and information and communication, were particularly notable growing at 13.91% and 9.65% in the whole of 2018. This owes a lot to the investments that are being made in roads and rail as well as in broadband infrastructure.

The NBS figures also show that 39 out of 46 economic activities recorded growth in Q4 2018 which shows that growth across sectors is becoming more mutually reinforcing.

This growth is consistent with the policies and principles of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) relating to macroeconomic stability and economic diversification. When better economic fundamentals like lower inflation rates, increased foreign reserves, a more stable exchange rate and increased capital inflows are taken together with increased investments in the real sector, infrastructure, the social sector and business environment; it portends well for economic performance in 2019 and beyond.

Indeed, the economy remains well on course to grow by 3% in 2019 as estimated in the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework."

The Buhari administration will continue to pursue the ERGP diligently and Nigerians can expect that economic conditions will continue to get better even as we move on to the Next Level.

FG Exposes PDP's Plan To Orchestrate Crisis, Trigger Panic Ahead Of Polls

With just a few days to the Presidential and National Assembly
elections, the Federal Government has alerted the nation to the
last-minute desperate plot by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to
orchestrate a crisis and trigger a sense of panic among the populace,
in furtherance of their plan to discredit the election and cause a
constitutional crisis.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister of Information
and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the plot confirms the alarm
raised by the Federal Government on Jan. 21st and Feb. 3rd 2019 that
the PDP is planning to scuttle the election and, where that fails,
discredit it.

He said in the days ahead, PDP bigwigs, including its presidential
candidate Atiku Abubakar, his running mate Peter Obi, PDP Governors
and others, are planning a world press conference in order to level
frivolous and unfounded allegations against the federal government and
the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Alhaji Mohammed said that part of the false allegations they plan to
make is that the Presidency, in connivance with the APC, is planning
to force the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to
announce presidential election results that are favourable to the
government in power, on the basis of the false premise that the APC's
intelligence team is worried that the ruling party would lose the elections.

He said the PDP bigwigs also plan to use their world press conference
to further disparage the Buhari Administration as well as the ruling
APC, with a view to painting an unfavourable image of both to
Nigerians and the international community and to put the government on
the defensive in the run-up to the polls.

The Minister said the PDP's last joker is a two-hour live press
conference to be addressed by the PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola
Ologbodiyan, on Feb. 14th, the last day of electioneering campaign, to
chronicle all their concocted allegations and lies against the ruling
government, cast aspersion on government and ruling party officials
and throw innuendos here and there.

''As electioneering campaign winds down, the PDP has realized that it
cannot possibly win a free, fair and credible polls. It has thus
resorted to engaging in red herring, hauling insults and abuses at
federal government and ruling party officials and making outlandish
allegations with a view to creating a sense of panic and crisis.

''The truth is that President Muhammadu Buhari, a man respected
globally for his integrity, has continuously assured that the
elections will be free, fair, credible and peaceful. He has warmly
welcomed observers, both local and foreign., because he has nothing to
hide, and because he is sure that the achievements of his
Administration will win him re-election.

''We are therefore calling on all Nigerians and the international
community to disregard any attempt to scuttle or discredit the polls.
We urge observers to keep an open mind. There is no cause for alarm,
except in the warped imagination of the PDP, which has entered the
panic mode and is already ruing the loss of another general election
even before it has been held,'' he said.

Face Brexit, Russia Collusion, Nigeria group tells UK, US

A foreign relations group in Nigeria has urged the United Kingdom and the United States to face their own democratic challenges rather than focusing on Nigeria election.

The Global Relations Policy Forum (GRPF) says it is completely ridiculous for the UK and US to tell Nigeria how to run its own election when they are both the laughing stock of the world.

Sadiq Adamu, President of GRPF, said they should first remove the beam out of their own eyes, and then they can see clearly to remove the speck out of Nigeria's eye.

“The Russia Collusion has plagued the United States democracy since its 2016 election. Globally, the world is watching daily as allegations and evidences of a collusion unravels in the ‘almighty’ United States.

“The Special Counsel Robert Meuller has shown us that there was indeed a collusion. So if the US cannot conduct a free and fair election, why should they be the model for any country across the world?"

Adamu argued that the US has no locus standi to interfere in the 2019 general elections in Nigeria. “If you followed the mid-terms election in the US, you will understand that there is a lot of work to be done on the US democracy but Nigeria or any other country did not interfere?"

“The Federal Government of Nigeria did not issue a statement when the votes were recounted in Georgia or when 3,000 votes disappeared in the votes recount in Florida. How exactly are this free and fair elections?

“I’m sure that not many Nigerians know that electorate had to use torch lights at polling booths in the US during the mid-terms election. Yes, they had to because there was no electricity. These are facts and they are there for all to see, how dare the US now tell us about electioneering processes,” he quizzed.

Adamu explained that the UK has been struggling with its bungled Brexit deal. He says that is a pointer that they cannot handle their own problems.

“A couple of days ago, Donald Tusk said there is a special place in hell for Brexiters without a plan, to the chagrin of the Britons,” he added.

“Jeremy Corbyn and Prime Minister Theresa May are at each others throats and Nigeria is yet to issue a statement urging them to find a solution to their problems.

Adamu stated that Nigeria is a sovereign country and so it the US and the UK. He noted that the EU is not exempted from the lashing because it erroneously intervened in the matter. “The EU is grappling with problems of its own and it has failed to address key issues confronting the union.

“I think they all need to assess themselves and look within before they try to set Nigeria on fire because of self-centered politics.

He claimed that the fact that corruption has been plugged is the reason why the UK, US and EU are not happy with President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigeria.

“We understand that the table has turned since Nigeria’s anti-corruption fight began under President Buhari. In the 16 years of PDP rule, Nigeria’s treasury was looted to these countries but since President Buhari emerged in 2015, we have been taking those monies back.

“There is no jamboree travels to the US, UK and EU. We don’t shop there anymore and Nigerians are less concerned about foreign food as well. We must understand their frustration,” he said.

He assured the world that the 2019 election in Nigeria will be free, fair and credible, stressing that, all countries across the globe are welcomed to observe.

“I think they should come and observe and then write their reports. They should not come and ignite Nigeria.”

Leah Sharibu's Death Report 'Absolutely Fake News' - FG

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has
described as 'absolute fake news' the reports in the Social Media that
the abducted Dapchi school girl, Leah Sharibu, has died in captivity.

“It’s absolutely fake news. There is nothing like that,” the Minister
said at a press briefing in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Sunday

He said the rumour of Miss Sharibu’s death, which surfaced just a few
days to the presidential election, is another ploy by the political
opposition to tarnish the image of the administration and exploit
primordial sentiments ahead of the polls.

“I think it’s part of the opposition’s strategies to throw everything
at the administration and at the President. I think everyday they are
realizing the hopelessness of their position.

“Everyday they are amazed by the support Mr. President is receiving
from every part of the country and they have decided that they are
going to spread falsehood, inflame passion and make this election a
Muslim-Christian affair or North-South affair, but people are not
listening to them,” Alhaji Mohammed said.

Speaking on the Monday’s presidential campaign rally in Ilorin, he
said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has put everything in place
to ensure that the visit of President Buhari is a huge success.

“The party has been meeting in the last couple of days to ensure that
the President’s visit is very successful. We have watched the rallies
in many parts of the country and we want to assure Mr. President that
our rally in terms of numbers, quality of people, entertainment and
colour will rank among the best,” the Minister said.

He said the crowd that will come out to receive the President will be
organic as the party does not engage in renting crowds.

Alhaji Mohammed appealed to security agencies to create a level
playing field for all the contestants in the election to allow the
people to freely exercise their franchise, saying those involved in
legitimate activities have nothing to fear.

He also described the protest in some circles over the redeployment of
Police Commissioners across the country as the handiwork of the
opposition, which is working to discredit the police and the
Independent National Electoral Commission.

Politics / Talks Of Islamization And The Gullibility Of Some Nigerians by janetdaniels201: 1:10pm On Feb 06, 2019
*Talks of Islamization and the gullibility of some Nigerians*

I laugh hard when I read articles claiming the "Islamization" of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Quick history class: when Buhari was head of State and he had all the powers without the constraints of the National Assembly, he did not Islamize Nigeria. That was in 1984. Buhari even refused to join OIC. It was Babangida that joined OIC. It meant that they had to remove Buhari to join OIC when he refused to assent to the idea as Head of State.
Still on history please, just one more: when 12 States in Nigeria 2002 thereabout declared Sharia in their States guess who was President, Obasanjo. But all those lying to us about Islamization now were quiet abi?

Now this Buhari who allegedly wants to slamize Nigeria has cooks, his adc and his drivers as Christians.
All those with whom he ran-all his running mates ever where all Christians including two pastors!

I also remember that it is these same miscreants that said the same of the former Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola.

Ogbeni Aregbesola has served his two-terms in Osun and the state was not Islamized, it’s going to be the same story for Nigeria but let us leave politics aside and delve into this ludicrous issue once, and for all.

Yes, President Buhari is a Muslim and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is a Christian, yet they want to Islamize Nigeria. When was this agenda conceived? Was it in 2015? Or was it already in the offing? If it was already in the offing, then it begs the question of whether former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan were involved.

The two of them have ruled Nigeria for 14 years out of the 16 years that PDP ruled since the country returned to democracy. Why didn’t they halt the plan? Or better still, why didn’t they attempt to Christianize Nigeria? Or could they not have sacked all these Muslims during their time in office?

The truth is, these men and women have built their careers over the decades, and they have risen to these positions by virtue of the fact that they have earned it. During Obasanjo's administration, he appointed IGP Musiliu Smith as the first police boss and then Mustapha Balogun, both Muslims but during Buhari’s government it was Solomon Arase who was first appointed, a Christian.

No noise was made about this until Ibrahim Idris was appointed and Islamization noise started. During Jonathan's government, Hafiz Ringim, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar and Suleiman Abba all served as IGPs. They were all Muslims but no noise of Islamization.

It is idiotic to say that Nigeria will be Islamized by anyone or any group. When Christian universities were springing up left, right and center, no one said they were preparing Christians to be radical or to Christianize Nigeria.
But if it’s a Muslim bank, just one Muslim bank, we will not rest. When will we stop deceiving ourselves? President Buhari has made 159 Board appointments since 2015 and of that figure, 89 are Christians. Look at the Ministers and you will find a balance as well.

Let’s stop disrespecting these noble men and women by rubbishing their careers and religion. They have earned it and they worked their way to the top as professionals in their fields.

For those who understand hierarchy and the military, you will agree that President Buhari cannot sack all the Generals if they were Christians because he wants to appoint a Muslim Captain as the Chief of Army Staff.

It’s time we put this divisive evil to rest and respect ourselves as Nigerians. Let's act like decent and reasonable human beings for once.

Thank you.

Politics / Atiku/obi Will Elevate Corruption To State Craft- Bmo by janetdaniels201: 2:21pm On Feb 04, 2019
ATIKU/OBI WILL ELEVATE CORRUPTION TO STATE CRAFT- BMO

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has continued to show the whole world that corruption would be a state policy if he ever becomes President of the country.

The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) says that it came to this conclusion after watching Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Peter Obi on “The Candidate”, a live television programme on next month’s presidential election.

In a statement signed by its Chairman Niyi Akinsiju and Secretary Cassidy Madueke, the group said: “we know that it is not a coincidence that both men made Freudian slips on how they would encourage acts of corruption if (God forbid) they get to the Presidential Villa.

“As was expected with Atiku on the podium, the anchor peron opened the programme by asking the former Vice President to give his thoughts on corruption; but, after defining it as the act of using public office for private gains, it was shocking that the PDP Presidential candidate did not see anything wrong with his company (INTELS) getting the concession rights to some of the nation’s Ports in 2006 when he was Vice President and head of the privatisation process.

“Not even Obi, his running mate, saw corruption, nor conflict of interest in his decision to invest Anambra State government’s funds in his private business, at a time he was governor of the State

“All these show that the Atiku/Obi ticket would elevate their wheeler-dealer mentality to the level of state craft to the detriment of the average Nigerian, after all he had previously made it clear he would enrich his friends.”

The group also questioned the PDP Presidential candidate’s readiness to shield corrupt individuals from prosecution if they return looted funds.

It wondered why Atiku would say it is more prudent to grant amnesty to looters rather than put them up for trial.

“But what many would find befuddling is how he prefers amnesty for high profile, politically exposed persons and then cite Turkey as an example of where it worked.

“What he left out is that Turkey, under President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has a criminal code that criminalises various forms of corrupt activities even, if it is just an attempt to corrupt a public official. Individuals in that country may be incarcerated for up to twelve years for simple bribery offences while Companies may face seizure of assets or income as a penalty.

“The example of Malaysia and Kenya which attempted to grant amnesty to corrupt persons in exchange for the return of looted funds, but failed, showed that applicable sanctions are the best way to confront corruption in high places.

“The success story of the President Buhari administration in assets forfeiture in the last three years shows that seizing assets and funds found to be proceeds of corruption, and also prosecution, can serve the purpose of double deterrent, especially now that the courts have given legal backing to Executive Order 6.”

The Pro-Buhari group added that the PDP Presidential candidate and his running mate again showed that their campaign is based on lies, with the way they reeled out unverifiable statistics and data.

“Even before the programme ended, fact-checks showed that Atiku and Obi dished out lies on issues ranging from Nigeria’s GDP in 2015, to security challenges before the Buhari administration.

“We make bold to say that these individuals cannot be trusted with power at a time that Nigeria is just recovering from sixteen years of misrule. Any outright sale of government owned enterprises to cronies and friends at giveaway rates can only lead to catastrophic consequences,” the group warned.

Politics / What A Day? What A Man? by janetdaniels201: 11:10pm On Feb 01, 2019
*What a day? What a man?*

By Sen Babafemi Ojudu

He ( VP Osinbajo ) woke up in the morning and dashed to the airport for Yola in Adamawa State to address the annual conference of the Lutheran Church. He stood for 40 minutes without a prepared speech and held the mammoth crowd spell bound.

He moved on from there to Uyo where he did a home visit, visitations to a market in Ikot Ekpene and another in Uyo township.

We thought he was done, suddenly he asked the convoy to stop on the street of Uyo and thousands of people joined him shouting APC and Sai Baba.

We did about two kilometers on the road and with admirers of our party pushing and shoving and making their way to shake hands with him and take selfies.

From the Street Walk we drove to Ibom Hotels, a good distance from the town and entered a hall filled with men of God. Several questions thereafter he kept going strong his faith and self discipline being his guide

Down in a bigger hall were about a thousand business men and entrepreneurs waiting to be addressed on their concerns on business, government policies as it relates to the South South and Akwa Ibom State.
He calmly took their questions. I heard one in the audience said “this man is a genius” . There was no issue he failed to address from water ways to Oku Iboku Paper Mill Industry, Aluminium Smelting Company at Ikot Abasi to Coastal rail as well as the recurring issue of fighting corruption.

As a younger person with about four years in between us my legs were already reluctant and failing to obey me. He keeps going on and on and you begin to wonder what about this professor and pastor?

As at writing it is 9.05 pm and he is still talking , marketing the government and its policies, dispelling negative perceptions and winning souls for our party and government.
I have been part of campaigns since 1999 when I traveled around with an uncle who who was a top member of the Unity Party of Nigeria, my foray into campus politics, professional unionism down to my work with Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 1999 and the Ekiti engagements I have never seen anything like this. I am sneezing as I am writing and my nose running with Dr Ebi Awosika passing tissue paper to me but my principal is still bouncing as if he just got up from bed at the crow of the cock at dawn. I thought I was strong here is someone stronger than strong.

You know what he must still get to Lagos tonight and he will drive to Ogun State for an engagement. What a life? What a day? What a man?

Court Orders Forfeiture of N1.04bn Abandoned In the Bank

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured an interim forfeiture of the sum of fromN1,000,494,000 (One Billion, Four Hundred and Ninety Four Thousand Naira) only. The order was granted by Justice Lewis Allagoa of the Federal High Court sitting in Kano.

The forfeiture was as a result of a motion exparte filed by the Commission seeking for the interim forfeiture of the sum of N1,000,494,000 (One Billion Four and Ninety Four Thousand Naira) only found hidden away in the bank account of MAGEL RESORT LIMITED, a company linked to the former first lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan.

The EFCC received an intelligence alleging that a bank account domiciled in Fidelity Bank, was said to have stored huge sum of money that is not being used by anybody.

Upon receipt of the intelligence, the Commission swung into action by conducting preliminary investigation which revealed that the former first lady and some relatives of the former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan are Directors of the Company.

Others named as directors of the company are Oba Oba Tamunotonye, Goodluck Jonathan Aruera, Goodluck Jonathan Ariwabai and Esther Fynface.

While tracing the origin of the money, it was discovered that N500, 000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) was deposited on the 20th May, 2015 by Esther Fynface, who is alleged to be in charge of the company while N1,000,000,000 (One Billion Naira) only was transferred in two tranches on the 25th May, 2015 from PAGMAT OIL AND GAS NIGERIA LIMITED a company that is not incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

The court order reads that: "An interim forfeiture order is granted to the Federal Government in the sum of N1,000,494,000 (One Billion, Four Hundred and Ninety Four Thousand Naira) only in the Bank account of the 1st respondent MAGEL RESORT LIMITED 4011019546 which is maintained with 2nd respondent Fidelity Bank Plc".

The court further ordered that the forfeited sum be deposited in the Treasury Single Account of the Federal Government.
