First time was October 10, 2022. I was traveling to Japan, Tokyo precisely to do my masters having won the Japanese MEXT scholarship. It was an all-expenses paid trip. I took off from Abuja via Turkish airways by 11 pm in the night direct to Istanbul (about 6:30min) flight. When we were undergoing check at the Abuja airport, it was like as if it's a film. I could remember all the scholarship rejections I have been getting since finishing nysc in 2015, including the construction sites in Onitsha where I used to do labour work despite being the best graduating student of my cohort. Everything seemed like a movie when after the check, we kept on being told to move from one location to another to wait for flight time. While seating down with other travellers, I was full of thanksgiving in my mind, and I knew it was just grace. When I entered the plane, my god, I nearly cried. But the multitude of people coming in made me realise it's a normal thing. I sat beside the window with one guy travelling to Turkey with his father. When the plane moved, I didn't know that it was going up in the air untill the whole buildings begin to look so tiny while I looked down. I said in my mind good bye naija. I remembered my mother, my brother and friends who probably will be waiting for the morning to set out for hustling. As the plane kept on moving, the beautiful air hostess began to move something and my guy told me they will be serving us food. I laughed and was so happy. I ate all the things and said yest when the air hostess asked if I still care for more drink. Suddenly we began to see only clouds. We got to Istanbul very early in the morning. I laid over for 17 hrs before boarding from Istanbul to Tokyo. While in the Turkish airport, I was hopping from one restaurant to another, trying to finish 100usd I brought out from the money with me but it refused to finish. When we finally set off to Tokyo, they served us food twice. It was a long journey and while people beside me slept many times, I was awake and watching the clouds. I saw from the small screen places we have crossed and getting to(Bhutan, Azerbaijan, South Korea, china etc) when we finally landed in Tokyo, I nearly shout seeing the magnificence if the Haneda airport. I began to remember all those who ruled Nigeria and the depth of wickedness in them. At the airport, I also went through thorough check being a Nigerian. They told me to empty all the food stuffs and clothes. I gladly did and was eager to do more for them. They finished their checking and thanked me for cooperating with them. They asked if I want work permit. I said yes and they directed me to an office where I got it immediately. I slept in the airport instead of wasting money lodging hotel since Tokyo is one of the safest cities. In the morning, I asked for direction and followed instructions on how to get to my school via train. I got to my school around 10:30 in the morning. The student exchange division received me and said they have been expecting my arrival. They led me to my room in the school dorm. I began to thank God and remembered all the experiences I went through in Nigeria.
Right now, I am in the process of finishing my masters and have been admitted for PhD in same school and scholarship. Also, I got another masters admission and scholarship in California and now, am confused as to which choice to follow.

Greetings to my bosses, I am here again to seek advice from my ogas

Last year I was learning Programming but due to poor background I really suffered a set back which made me to back down from the struggle, I learnt an online Skill (domain flipping) just this year and I am getting a little token from it, am 20yrs old, I am not a graduate but am planning on getting admission next year cos I want to complete my undergraduate degree in Europe by God's grace I want to use my 100 level transcript to gain Admission in any European University, Germany to be precise, Now I don't think I can continue with programming anymore, cos I don't think I can meet up with this guys working for International firms, I did a little research about UI/UX design and I realized that I need some knowledge of CSS HTML and JavaScript to be good in it, though I have a little knowledge in HTMl and CSS but I can go deeper if there's need to,

Please my people I want to ask if UX/UI design requires much programming knowledge pls make una help me cos that's the part am looking forward to in my Tech career

Lol, It's always I have a friend. BSC admission in Germany requires 100 level transcript as NECO and WAEC are not sufficient for direct admission. If you're one of those agents, I advise you avoid this thread.

For all the newbies, use DAAD.de and Uni-assist to check for admission requirements.

You can't get direct admission with your WAEC in Germany. You need a 100l result from any school.

Secondly, Germany is not like the UK for POF. I explained it to you above. Go and read it again. As for sponsorship letter, you're ideally meant to get it from someone you know because you have to prove your relationship with the person. If you do other wise and get scammed or whatnot, you're on your own. I'll advise you stop asking such questions online. It can be detrimental and possibly ruin your chances. Good luck

Again pls you didn't answer my question about when to apply for Admission so that it won't be revoked because of late appointment, should I book the appointment and then wait a little before applying for Admission like when it's like 4 months or 5 to go?

1. Visa appointment takes 22 months for undergraduate study before you get a date. First decide if that's feasible for your before you consider Germany

2. Average semester fee for public schools is €350 per semester , and €10,000 per year for private schools. There's no need wasting your resources on a private school because almost all top schools in Germany are public and Germany is not crazy about reputation like the US. All schools are standard.

3. You'll need a block account of €11,208. You'll be able to access €934 from it monthly when you get to Germany. It's called block account because you'll "block" it in a German account. An alternative to this is to use a sponsorship letter. It's a letter given to you by someone working in Germany who can afford to pay the €934 to you after his/her own monthly expenses. Each city have there requirements.


Consider the above before you think of Germany

Cause normally I can save upto €7k and I think I can manage it while hustling for more over there (flight and Visa application money apart) and again since the situation is like this now what's your advice in terms of Applying for Admission so that it can match with the Appointment time So that the Admission won't be revoked thanks for your time

After some time I Nature spoilt my plan I realized that I couldn't meet up with US because it's so expensive followed somehow by UK
For some days now I've been researching about German undergraduate school fees in Public University and I realized that it's somehow cheaper, I also realized that I can study and work as an undergraduate in Germany, I have little money now but I want to double my hustle and see the Amount I can save in next year ending cos am not in a rush,

Your story is similar to mine. Although I just finished from a Federal University last month. I studied a course I was interested in (Agric) so I’ve decided to start a new degree in September to read B.Sc Information Technology (I started working in Tech too while in my 4th year).

Based on the bold, run a part-time program in any course while maintaining your present source of income. Also, diversify into other businesses. Build systems (documentation, training etc) around your businesses rather than people (employees can resign anytime).

The best jobs are math-based, so since you don't know math, don't bother going through the process. Also, don't be bothered or interested in relocating as your chances of doing so via study or work favours mostly numerical graduates.

Additionally, a major reason you should study in a tertiary institution is to broaden your thinking process, be open-minded, and broaden your network beyond your current environment.

Lastly, build yourself to the comfort you realistically seek before having anything to do with women. Even when the comfort has been achieved, enjoy it first as a bachelor before courtship or marriage. That is, enjoy your money as a man who worked for it before bringing another party into it. When choosing your would-be woman, VET her thoroughly. Women are brutal vetters. Vet her as much as she vets you. May the best vetter win.

Go to school, get a degree. Don't do any course that's more than 4 years. Figure out a way to leave Nigeria with your tech skills.

Delay the schooling for two or three years and make more money many first class graduates are on the streets looking for what to eat. Money will give you Freedom that your certificate can't give you. nobody respect your certificate but will surely respect your money. From your narrative you want to eradicate poverty from your family not to increase the number of graduates. you can always go back to school when you're financially stable.

Since you're making some money from your hustle, I will advise you to do part-time programme and earn your degree with ease. Even if you don't need a degree now try and get it, it may be your support system in the future.

Also document all the jobs you do, you never can tell when you will need a reference and attestation from someone.

When it comes to journey of life and fulfilling destiny, you have to be intentional. Like someone said, avoid women for now and concentrate on making money and getting your degree.
