If it is for Canada, the wife having a US visa and a strong travel history is already an added advantage, but it is not enough on its own.

The first consideration is funding. A family of five, depending on the duration of stay, should have sufficient funds to cover round-trip travel, accommodation, and other expenses outlined in the itinerary and statement of purpose (SOP).

The next important factor is strong home ties, which are just as important as funding and even more essential when funding is not an issue. Some applicants simply present large amounts of money to IRCC and later begin to lament after refusal, because after presenting what seems like half of Elon Musk’s net worth, there's absolutely no reason why a refusal should be the final decision, innocently or intentionally forgetting that visa approval is a combination of several factors used to assess eligibility before a decision is made.

Tldr: Proof of fund, well-established home tie, well-structured SOP.

Provided he is ready to transfer the funds to you and depending on his account balance, some level of financial commitment will be expected from you, if he has like 200m and he wants to be your sponsor, he can easily pay the full tuition fee for you. Establish the relationship in your SOP, you can also add family tree for further clarity.

Your proof of fund is the first year tuition fee + 25,895, deduct any tuition deposit you make from the total.
Example
If your first year tuition fee is $20,000 and you have made $10,000 deposit.
Your proof of fund will be $20,000 + $25,895 - $10,000 = $35,895, which means that $35,895 or the equivalent is what you will be presenting to IRCC.

My guy was denied, he said he used he's inlaw that lives in the UK as a sponsor. He used pounds account. He is going for masters. He has deferred and will reapply. How should he arrange the supporting documents and POF. Thank you guys.

Yes, you do, provided that you have sufficient funds for the dependents (two kids) and you establish home tie properly, pay the required tuition deposit or a year tuition fee depending on your school's requirement.

Hello guys, my wife applied to the univeristy of sakatchewan for a masters degree in public health, she meets and exceeds every requirement and I'm confident she would get in, my confusion here is, we've presently got a 3 year old boy and a baby coming in May, the baby would be 7months old be the time of her intake January 2027. Would this be a good reason for me to also apply for SOWP jointly with her study permit, being that she would need me to support her with the kids especially the new baby, or should we wait for her to get her study permit first, using myself and the kids as ties, then I stay back looking after the kids and apply for sowp later with the kids,say after 6months... I fear we applying together may spoil her own chance... On the other hand I also feel the visa officer may understand our peculiar situation and just maybe we could apply together and it would just work. What do you advice please

She can apply with the children, once approved, you apply for SOWP and ensure you establish home tie while writing your own SOP.

Don't make the mistakes those before you made, thinking they can use their normal writing skill to draft something as technical as SOP, does this mean you shouldn't write your SOP if you can, no, but always send it in for expert review.
