Yeah you are right.. and I didn't say Grade class is the only ground for selection. But I was emphasizing that there are occasion where it will always count.. experience too is not the only ground because a whole lot of people that applied have years of experience too. Experience, Certifications, Grade Class are all factors.. and Luck too. All of them count. But somebody should not talk down on good grade just because he doesn't have it..

If you have First Class and you still performed woefully at the interview stage, someone with a Second class Upper would get the job over you. What matters most is acing the tests and interviews.

When the time reach for Elimination you know say first or distinction is not the same as Upper credit.. if someone with first class or distinction have same experience as you are or very close to, then it will be a factor

The opportunity is a life changing opportunity, but whatever the outcome is,, life must continue.. for two years or so alot of here and there information about this recruitment, still we are all striving in our various present places of work..

So as long as you have not gotten regret mail from them, and there is no real evidence that people have moved to the next stage in the position you applied for, Keep your fate.

If I can remember, both Associates and operators did same assessment the first and second time ( stand to be corrected) but when the news whether true or false came that operators have had their interview many of us moved on with life only to get the recent mail for another Assessment.

So in conclusion, whatever we don't have control over no need killing ourselves on it. Time will clarify everything

If they did not call you.. move on and stop killing peoples spirit.. millions applied and only few will be chosen, Even God does not chose Everybody.

Many have been getting jobs in multinational without knowing a fly, this won't be otherwise.

As long as you have Nigerians as part of the so called global recruitment team, you can never get a level playing field

Restructuring In Chevron is not a today thing. It has been on since more than Two years Ago, even before this recruitment started. And it is also a world wide thing and does not affect every country in the same proportion.

If you check Chevron Career portal today you will still see hundreds of Vacancy. So I don't think restructuring is the reason for the delay in the process

Information with regards to the details of the exams will be sent but as to going to the exam with certificate it is very unlikely

It's surprising that ExxonMobil is quite pacy with their recruitment judging from the fact that candidates have now received test invites 2 wks after the application closed and that of Chevron which started about 9 months ago for the 1st batch is yet to be concluded.

Any info on when those in 2nd batch will get interview invite?

From the content of the message it sounded like all the Roles must have gotten the invite, because it was stated those that applied for more than one position should take the test only once

Whether it is a Pre-Or Post Interview Invite, Congratulations to the Only (or Those) that got the invite.

But to me some things are certain
1. That has not being the pattern for others that have had their interviews
2. Even if it is real, it is likely for only Associates operators (Agbami and Escravos) because advert for experienced operators are only for Escravos not Agbami.
3. Like I have always said. we know Chevron is a great opportunity,but with or without it people will still move on.
