TravelRe: General Information About South Cyprus Study Visa by JasonSoch:

Good afternoon to everyone here. I just got my blue print slip from the republic of cyprus. And I contacted the only cyprus consulate in Lagos to get the informations I need. but unfortunately they said I have to send my passport to Kenya for it to get the visa stamp. This is so surprising and how true can this be. Because I know that it's the cyprus consulate in Lagos that offer the stamp since there's no cyprus embassy in Nigeria
I recently got my official Entry Permit(blue slip), and it turns out that the stamp is NOT necessary. I got mine exactly 3 months after university submission to CRMD on Aug 12, which is probably typical for Nigerians.
I was also conflicted for a long time, so I asked the college and they assured me that I didn't need the stamp.

Also, it's confirmed in the official website: https://www.gov.cy/en/information/visas/

As you can see from the pic, holders of entry permits are exempt from visa.

The visa stamp is useful for speeding up the process (but not compulsory), because with the stamp/sticker on your passport, you bypass extra checks at the airport which may cause delays.

Upd: I'm currently in Cyprus without the visa.

Are students who have a full scholarship for bachelors to a private German university in Cat A or Cat B?
