Politics‘Do Not Take Appointments From Buhari’ MASSOB Tells Ndigbo by JAZES(op): 11:03am On Sep 16, 2015
The Ralph Uwazurike-led faction of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has called on Igbo politicians to reject any appointment that might be offered them under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

Rivers South zonal leader Sunday Kalu-Amuzie spoke after a thanksgiving service to mark the movement’s 16th year anniversary.

Amuzie said opportunities abound in the Biafran nation for any position or portfolios they might want, urging them to come back home and occupy them with ease.

“We are confident that our desire on Biafra has been realised and this informed today’s celebration.

“We are convinced that God supports our agitation and is guiding our step towards its realisation soon. This is why we call on our people to come home, because what they seek in Abuja is at home.

“The Ndigbos who are lobbying for appointments into Buhari’s cabinet should stop forthwith, as there is no need for that. The Biafran nation is already in our hands; they should reject any appointment that might be given to them and come home to help build Biafra,” he said.

Amuzie noted that God had perfected the birth of the new nation, which comprised the 11 states of the former eastern region.

Officiating minister Pastor David Achi said God told him Biafra was in his programme and that conviction informed his interactions with the group.

“The crowd that defiled the rains for this programme today is evidence that God supports MASSOB. The people are convinced of this; if I am not convinced of what I heard from God, I would not have identified with them.

“It took me several years, even after God spoke, to make up my mind to join because I didn’t want to make mistakes,” Achi said.

BusinessBanks Around The World Begin Closing Nigerians’ Accounts! by JAZES(op): 9:54am On Sep 16, 2015
It can be confirm that banks around the world have commenced closing accounts held by Nigerians.

If you may recall, in May 2015, news filtered through social media that accounts of Nigerians in the UAE specifically in Dubai had been closed.
At the time, no official reason was given, however sources at the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) disclosed that this was as a result of Dubai’s efforts to curb money laundering.

A growing Nigerians with accounts in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada have reported their accounts being closed without any clear explanation from the banks. Many have received letters stating that the banks have decided to close their accounts as they reserve the right to do so based on bank/client agreements. Letter packages have included cheques amounting to the closing balance and/or instructions on how to retrieve their cash.

While there is no clear and official reason for this exercise, sources have revealed that this is as a result of ongoing anti-money laundering discussions between the Nigeria’s Buhari-led government and their international counterparts.

In addition, countries around the world are clamping down on banks which aid money laundering by imposing huge fines and penalties. Therefore, the banks are working overtime to “clean up their acts”. In June 2015, it was revealed that HSBC paid over $43million in Geneva to settle a money laundering case.

Please note that based on information received so far, while no clear pattern for account closing selection has been revealed; Affected parties have excluded those who have a clear and defined source of the funds in the account. For example, work permit holders with salaries remitted into their accounts or current students with fees and reasonable pocket money paid into their accounts have not been affected so far.

However, Nigerians who transfer money from their Nigerian accounts to foreign accounts, students with unexplained large balances and Nigerians who made cash deposits into their accounts abroad have been affected so far.

If you have a foreign account, we encourage you to check the status as soon as possible and continue to monitor your accounts as this is an ongoing exercise.

CelebritiesI Know About Child Spacing, Expect Baby Number 4 Soon– Mercy Johnson by JAZES(op): 8:52am On Sep 16, 2015
It is no longer news that Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, is presently pregnant with her third child.

This came months after she welcomed her second child from her marriage that was consummated on August 27, 2011, in Lagos.

After the news of her third pregnancy made headlines, several people castigated her for not observing what they called proper child spacing.

But the actress, in a recent interview, slammed those attacking her to let her be because she is old enough to decide on what is good for her.

She told Goldmyne TV, “I am expecting my third child and I’m a married person so I don’t think people should ask me why. I understand the ethics of spacing kids but I’m a married person and an adult, I can decide the way I want to live my life.

So yes, I’m having my third baby very soon. Thank you so much for the good wishes, thank you so much for the hate speeches, but save some of the hate speeches because the fourth will soon come to round it up then you can show your anger then but for now it’s good news let’s celebrate.”

As 2nd on the list, you expect that the city should be quite exotic and flamboyant than the ones earlier mentioned. Sadly, it isn’t.

The city, which is the capital of Chad, does not have proper facilities, there are no railways or sea ports here, their roads are not well maintained but still, they are second on our list.

The economic capital of West Africa with the population of twenty million people, this list wouldn’t have been complete if the Lagos metropolis wasn’t added to it.
