I just want to drop this here because a lot of people are losing serious money and don’t even realize it.

If you’re currently building a 5-bedroom duplex, abeg check your contractor’s invoice very well.

For POP ceilings, you’ll see something like 350 bags quoted. But if you actually calculate standard internal finishing properly, it should be around 280 bags.

Now do the math… that extra 70 bags no be small money.

The real one is foundation.

Some contractors will tell you they’re doing heavy piling—1200mm, big machine, all those big big grammar.

But on site, na 600mm diameter cast-in-situ piles dem go still do.

That difference fit run into millions of Naira.

I’m not saying every contractor is like this o, but if you no understand the technical side, you fit just dey pay quietly.

Best thing:

Always ask for proper breakdown
Cross-check your drawings
Get second opinion if anything looks off

If you already have your BOQ, drawing, or quote and you’re not too sure, you can send it to me. I go help you check am—no wahala.

Better to confirm now than regret later.
