*Hey! It’s my turn to sit in the front pew
*I was so enthralled,I never noticed your sermon went 25 minutes over time
*Personally I find witnessing much more enjoyable than golf
*I’ve decided to give our church the $500 a month i used to send to TV evangelists.
*I’ve volunteer to be the permanent teacher for the junior high sunday school class.
*Forget the denominational minimum salary, let’s pay our pastor so he can live like we do.
*I love it when we sing hymns I’ve never heard before!
*Since we’re all here, let’s start the service early.
*Pastor,we’d like to send you to this Bible seminar in the Bahamas.
*Nothing inspires me and strengthens my commitment like our annual stewardship campaign!

God has purpose of doing things, if it is will of God for the christian to work in brewery and preach to people. If he turned it down, he has turned down God's plans to win souls in that company. My take in this is for him to tkae it and keep to his faith. Also, he win souls for God in that company. But, he should be watchful, for him not to fall into sin.
win those souls from the outside.Oga can you enter pornography with the aim of winning souls huh

antiscamservice:
It's not ideal for a christain to work in any alcoholic producing company whatsoever.
As christains, we understand that alcoholic consumption breeds sin, and is consequently a sin.
Alcohol has destroyed so many lives and will continue to destroy lives.
A born again christain shouldn't be found working where a substance that promotes sin is produced.
The argument that such a christain may not indulge in the consumption of the alcoholic beverage is irrelevant.
Christains should be very careful in these last days; only the holy will make Heaven.

CrazyMan:
The Bible doesn’t condemn alcohol. The only reference made to alcohol in the Bible is do not take too much of wine, don't be filled with wine".

Prophets, men of God and even Jesus himself all drank wine. And in his last moments on earth, he (Jesus) gave his disciples wine and bread and specifically instructed us to keep drinking wine in remembrance of him.

But despite the fact that Jesus and his disciples were known for drinking wine, (in fact one of Jesus first miracles was the turning of water into wine) it was never recorded anywhere in the bible that he (Jesus) nor his disciples got drunk. They choose to be filled with more of the holy ghost than the wine they consumed.

So you see these alcohol stuff has to do with the individual state...people detest alcohol not because the bible strongly forbids it but because they feel its not good.

Tell your pastor in-law to accept the job offer. Whether or not he consumes it is up to him to decide. But in the meantime, he has a family to carter for.
oga u're totally wrong.if u claim to be a child of God then you must possess the fruits of the spirit(galatians4:22-23) of which temperance(complete abstinence from alcohol) is inclusive. And also we're to love our neighbours(the people that would consume the alcohol)the way we love ourselves and if you claim to love them as the bible commands you'll do to them what you'll want others to do to you.How then would you engage in the production of goods that would destroy them when you don't want others to do same to you...God bless you

Politics › Re: About Jonathan And His Aclaimed Universities. by jbravado(m): 8:18am On Jan 13, 2015
omenka:
On the campaign trail, one of the few things the president has been bragging were the achievements of his administration in the last five years are the building of several (9 - 14 I think) universities across the six geo-political zones.

Needless as that might have been given the sorry state of those presently on ground ( I mean, it wouldave made a lot more sense had the monies been expended on upgrading to world standard those we had on ground) one must still give him some credit for building them.

Now we have heard and we have read about these wonderful universities that were built from scratch. What we are yet to do is see them!!

This thread is meant for those who've been blaring the news of the said universities into our ears:

1) Tell us the names of these universities.

2) Let them show us at least a few pictures of these universities.

3) Tell us what courses are being offered in these universities.

4) Tell us how many of those courses have NUC accreditation.

5) Tell us about student enrolment into these universities.

Will be keeping close tabs on the thread to see how these issues are responded to. What we need are just facts to set the record straight and nothing more.

Thank you.
