No na. I dnt think so.

Musa, though has not been at his best of late, has been a strong member of this team. Remember his brace against Argentina and his power strike against SA in the last friendly game we played against them.

I have suggested that he b converted to a supporting striker.

Besides, Ahmed Musa has passed his peak.

He peaked around 2014-2015 but meanwhile he is just 24.

Aha! who was i pointing out to the other day that most West African strikers peak between 21 and 25?
Yes i know musa is a decent player, but he needs to be totally disastrous for him to be dropped. Trust me i know what am saying.

Iheanacho was against a cagey defence. Not all teams we play will set up like. In a less cagey situation, he will shine like a million stars.
That i know. I am only trying to put myself in both side of the divide, some were satisfy with his performance while some were not, they gave their reasons, which is valid. I went further by pointing out the areas he needs to improve on as a top 9. Look at Suarez, the way he plays will give you an hint of what am talking about.

Team strategy. That is what matters. If Rohr wanted a mesmerizing performance from Nacho, he could easily ask him to drop deeper. That was not the plan. The plan was to keep the defenders of Algeria engaged and give room to the other players.

It worked. That is what matters. Mesmerizing is easy for Nacho. Done it for too long. Rohr knew what he was doing and it worked well.

As for Nacho, Guardiola is trying to make a Messi out of him. Give him time. We will prefer a false 9 scoring loads of goals than a trick pony receiving verbal accolades.
Don't get me wrong, i said it earlier on, that the plan of the coach was successful. Iheanacho was able to drag some algerian players to him, there by giving other of his team mate the room to do the damage. But such performances cannot win him accolades. Therefore going forward, if we are to keep using him as a false 9, he has to be more physical an imposing on his opponent. I concluded by saying, the style his team adopts can also limit how much he gets the ball.

Thanks for this accolades, this is an ex international giving kudos to the team but football analysts here are telling us different story.

If i may ask who among us here believe Eagles we have it easy in this group, beating Zambia at home and No 1 ranking team Algeria 3goals to 1,pls we need to take it softly when commenting on our players.

Some are saying Iheanacho should be bench,Moses minus two goals a flop,Iwobi not in d game,Ekong average,Onazi not good as DM,Omeruo not ok as RB,Akpeyi should not smell eagle's jersey again and Mikel had an average game, then who are d players that executed d match for God sake,we should be appreciative for once coz having 6 points in this dead group is not easy.

Kudos to d boys for doing us proud and to d house pls be objective when analyzing d team. This is a promising team going places even 94 squad didn't find it easy in W/C qualifying coz it took them d last match against Algeria b4 qualification was guaranteed.
Please I oblige you to get an answer from them, concerning the players that executed the game for us. All players in a team cannot have a perfect performance in a match. We can't outrightly condemn any of our player in such a match of that magnitude, considering the result. It is fine to point out one or two of their lapses when analysing, for them to correct and improve on their game. But outright condemnation, not good, not good at all.

I get both side of the divide concerning Kelechi's performance. Ok, A -side wasn't satisfied with is performance, they want to see him perform just as he did for the U17. The B-side was satisfied with his performance because, the match went according to plan. He was able to attract some players to him, there by giving other of our players room to do the damage. But I belief we would all agree that we want to see him score and mesmerize his opponent, for him to be rated as one of the world best and be able to win awards. We know the Algerian defence are strong, but he is going to face a stronger defence in the league and world cup, so it would be good for us if he can improve. Going forward, if we are going to keep using him as our top 9, then he has to be more physical and imposing on his opponent. But sometimes the style of play the team adopts can determine how much he gets the ball.

Please make it 8 Lungs, that guy was tireless. He has a monster mixed with a beast Organ.

Ok recommend one pastror na.

David Oyedepo or Enoch Adeboye?
May be guru maharaj ji ah ah just kidding. I think you are right about Iheanacho, he wasn't that effective today in that position. The AM/SS is his best position, it brings out that flair in him.

I was not comfortable with Iheanacho as a lone striker. That boy is an AM/ SS.

Even at City he does nt perform well as a lone striker.

We missed Iheanacho today.

Jst when Rohr thought he has solved the CF player problem he finds out that Iheanacho is not the right player for the CF job.

To me Ighalo and Ideye are not any better.

Isaac (the beast) Success could be the man for that role going forward. We need to bundle him to TB Joshua for deliverance from injuries first.

I would like to see him and Kayode invited for the friendly(ies) in march.

Iheanacho can go back to his number 10 role.
Meaning Etebo will need to fight for a place as either a winger or CMF and that means more competition - what we always clamour for.
Sir Icon4s, no even dare to take Success to TB Joshua. With the way wey him take miss US election result, say na that kind way you want make Success they miss target. Lol

Ndidi:

Now that is how a player makes a big statement. His first long pass to the left answered a big question in my heart. Is he comfortable on the ball? Yes he is.

He brought balance to the midfield with his interceptions. He covered the gaps in the midfield and neutralised the defence.

A promising player for our defensive midfield and showed we can trust him when he gets the chance.
Nice analysis, keep it up.

You've given them too much applause. We annihilated them. It could easily have been 5 - 0. If Onazi has provided cover and Akpeyi had not been dull, they'd not have scored.

If Kelechi had scored that tap in and Musa had given a better cross in injury time, we'd have scored 5 goals.

They were no match for us. Moses owned their defense. Balogun killed their offense.

Nice result from the two venues. Cam vs zam: 1:1, Nig vs Alg: 3:1. If we can win our next match against cameroon and zambia vs algeria ends in draw, then simply say we have qualified. Celebration mode activited.

Goodmorning house. I wish you all a blessed week. I think, I would go with Ideye. Because, if ideye is not scoring, he is creating assist for others to score. I think Ighalo has this confidence issue right now. I would have love to see Isaac.

This your analogy makes it look as if Alampasu has not caught a ball in his life.
No, not so. I said for the national team, he hasn't man the post. Akpeyi is better placed than Alampasu to perform well, putting into consideration their credentials in the national team.

Will you do surgery with an experienced surgeon who lost his last ten patients on the surgical table?
Has Akpeyi lost most of his match for the SE, or has he perform woefully?. No. So your analogy does no correlate with what i explained.

I said the weaker keeper. Seeing a keeper in action does not make him the stronger keeper. He has to fight for his Jersey in camp and we play the stronger keeper.

Instead of gambling with a weaker keeper.
To me, I rather go with a tested and trusted hand, in a critical situation like this, rather than experimenting. Is like a surgeon doing an operation for the first time, on a patient who needs an open heart operation without an experience surgeon to guide him. That one na did na. No family will accept that. Will you?
