Guys im currently not in Nigeria and i need to pay the visa fee, do i have to do it in person or can i have someone pay it for me and just bring the receipt?

im planning to come back the day before my interview so i won't have time to do it myself.

I went for the interview on 16th of July. Yes, It took less than 15 working days.

I got a mail from Hungarian Embassy that my visa is ready. I have replied them that I won't be able to make it on the pick up date and time. That I will be glad if the embassy can mail my passport and documents through courier service. Patiently waiting for their reply cos I replied them late.

Congrats @Amefreeka Please you went for interview last 17th july right? Does that mean yours took less than the 15 working days?

Yes u will confirm it via email

they dont need to send u a reply, as soon as the date and time reaches go to the embassy u will see your name with the security officials there

Lastly, which visa application form did u fill? Was it the one that bears the logo of Hungary with heading as : "Application for residence permit for the purpose of study "........ ?

Once you book an appointment with the embassy and they give you a date. That's all. If you dey wait make them remember you, then I go say na dash dem dash you 60 Euro visa application fee. May be I call you "Ajebo".

Bro please after you send the email to confirm date and time of the appointment, did they reply? Cause i send mine to confirm like last week and no reply so far.. getting me worried

Tell them you don't have family/friends in schengen area.
I also pray your visa should be ready before the school resumption date.

Thanks so much bro. Is it advisable to collect the Health insurance provided by the school or one should get one here in Naija? Which one is the best?

And did you pay accommodation fee as well? Cos embassy only stated to provide certificate of paid tuition fee only.

If your school can provide you the health insurance it's best you go for that one.

I can't advise you about accommodation since i haven't been to the interview nor received visa lol. Although a friend of mine went early January didn't pay accommodation for university of debrecen because they issue a letter saying that the student have placement in one of their dormitories to facilitate visa procedures. You can ask your school the same, explain that it is only for visa application and they should help you.

Nothing much at the interview, just make sure your answers correlate with the documents you submit. Also, don't fake or forge any documents. They do confirm the authenticity of applicants documents.

I don't have any forged documents so im not worried about that. Im just a bit stressed for the interview itself,lol.

Is bad or good if you have family/ froends in the schengen area?

And my interview is on 17th August while school resumes on 7th September, im worried about missing lectures or registration

I had the same problem with University of Pecs, they do provide health insurance but they say you must register in person at the school. They even gave me the email of the lady in charge, i mailed her many times she neva replied.

Thanksfully i secured and health insurance from an international insurance company, name is CIGNA. My dad arranged it so i dunno how it goes or how much nor if they have a branch in Nigeria. All i can say is it must be rather expensive.

Anyway google it, go to the website and get their contacts, they provide full coverage for the entire schegen area

I'm done with the interview. It went through well. I was told that I will be contacted within the next 15 working days (3 weeks).

My advice for applicants, please don't forge any documents. Even if you do they will know. Those I met there that their visa were rejected was due to faking or forging documents.

Be honest and truthful. What will be will be and what God has destine for you will never pass you by.

@amefreeka did you received ur passport and the visa? My interview is next month, any advice or informations about the interview?
