Does this mean that for someone studying a one year course, it is impossible to bring your dependents with you? I’ve seen two family applications that were approved for an applicant who is studying a one year course.

@ graceful! My wife just arrived Canada this week on a 1 yrs course SP expiring Aug 2023 and am trying to apply for SOWP and Study visa for me and my kids, but am afraid the 1 Yr SP validity may affect our chances. How did your GCSM request go?

I thought as much that it was a one year course, it reduces the chances of dependents coming with you. It will be unlikely that they will even approve for those two. The problem is not the money.

@ Prof! My wife Just got to Canada this week with a 1 yr study permit expiring Aug 2023 and I am planning to apply for SOWP / study permit respectively for me and my 4kid to join her what are our chances considering the 1 yr course constraint?
