Oh mama I went to make enquiries from St philomena n dey told me dat dey have private and public I ltr asked of the differ which dey said Public is 2x a week while private is just 1s
I just feel dey is more to it

As for antenatal i tink its a 2 way tin.everybody with dia opinions though.if u have d money n u wish can use a professional private clinic.for me I prefer public if not cos of unpredictable strike et al plus crowd.I'm in Benin city too n I'm using Ubth but i will soon register in a private incase dey strike again n I'm due.

Another question I want to ask please mama's in the hus......which hospital is good to register for antenatal PRIVATE OR PUBLIC...let's talk about dis mater MAMAS... some of us don't no or have idea of all dis...
I'm actually based in benin city I just have myself n my dh don't know anybody or good hospital to register for antenatal... please any info will be helpful sis....... God bless us

Thank you so very much. I don siddon o. learning and praying. I am only taking folic acid for now. Started before I took in. I hope to start seeing a gynae next week. I know its early but after two mc I don't want to take chances.

You do know that the first trimester is accompanied by Morning SICKNESS, which is not limited to the mornings or nausea. It includes fatigue, loss of appetite, moodiness etc. .
sometimes it mirrors malaria symptoms and many mothers have been known to use anti- malarial to treat it.
See a Dr and have malaria test done to rule that out.

I dont think you need to take folic acid anymore.
Depending on you... I always start my antenatal at 3 mths buh mothers that have history of miscarriage, ttc-d for a long time and/ or are high risk ( under/over aged, diabetic, hypertensive) should register earlier.

But whenever you dont feel too ok, dont hesitate to see your Dr.
Dont use any drugs not prescribed by your Dr, even if it is ordinary cough syrup or paracetamol.

In the mean time, start using your prenatal vitamins esp folic acid. Dont overstress yourself this early in pregnancy. Dont eat pineapples or unripe pawpaw..... just go thru the previous pages I am sure you will learn a lot and please dont hesitate to ask questions.
