Drugs commonly used are parlodel,carbergoline, note that different people react differently to drugs so I think is best you check with your doctor.
Ewedu therapy has also been proven to help with high prolactin, cook ewedu without potash and oil, you can add crayfish or fish to spice it up

@ Jellymom ur doc friend is right, the earlier a cerclage is put in the better, but... Most docs prefer to wait till the danger of early inevitable miscarriage has passed (usually 12-13 weeks) .
Sadly I lost that baby last year October due to ic too.

@ Jellymom I guess u were on d metformin b4 ur BFP? It's normal to continue in ur first trimester and gently wean ursef off around 13-14 weeks wen the placenta has taken over.
Brief story...
I too have pcos, b4 BFP, I was taking it 2x daily, afterwards I took it once daily, not religiously though, and stopped around 6-7 weeks (not by doctors advice o,just me, cos metformin doesn't combine well with nausea, lol)
I registered for anc around 7weeks, doc started me on duphaston 10mg BD and aspirin 75mg daily & folic acid.
Had cerclage @12 weeks and switched to Cyclogest 400mg @ night, salbutamol 2mg BD, vit. C & fesolate, continued with aspirin & folic acid. Also on bed & pelvic rest.
@ Nwarosa did ur doc give any reason why the progesterone injection was stopped @18 weeks? I have heard so many reviews about progesterone support for ic till around 30-34 weeks , to help the cervix stay strong. Please research!
Are u on bedrest?
Is ur cervix being monitored? How often do you have ultrasounds?

I know u are a Benin mama right? Who's ur doctor? I know different docs wit different therapies.
What are his reasons for prescribing metformin? Are you diabetic or do u have pcos?
I don't know about d provera, but google isn't saying nice things about its use in pregnancy.
My own 2 cents is for u to go to ubth, (why? They handle a lot more cases) see a senior consultant gynaecologist (preferably a maternal and fetal medicine doctor) express your concerns hold nothing back.
U shall carry to term by God's grace.

Another assault this morning.he woke me up sayin he's famish,that he needs food.i told him,please i'm tired,sinc i seldomly sleep in the nyt because of our child..that z 2months and some weeks.i pleaded with him to go to the kitchen,sinc there z food,to serve himself.he refused and went to the parlour to sit.meanwhile,zino was stil cryin.he started usin negative words on me,tellin me that since the arrival of zino,i no longer wake up early to prepare food for him.

Since we all knw I passed my due date wc ws 28 august. I went 4 acn on thur as usual nd wen I met d doctor n told him I noticed in d morning my pant was wet without me going to wee.he examine me n said my my amniotic fluid is leaking n dat they will hv 2 admit me n dat ws how they took my file to delivery section. On getting der d doctor examin me n said they hv 2 induce me.
           That is how they inserted a tube in my virginal ooo n dey told me one d balloon drop I shld let them knw.so I started walking up n down d whole section n started feeling pain @ my abdomen.b4 I knew it,i throw up n d pain stopped.i told d nurses dat am nt feeling any pain n she said I shld nt worry dat d pain wil come.
            I now started chatting DH since it ws hs break period n I came 2 update people on nl.i ws formin sexy thinkin d whole tin is not as hard as people say it.finally d balloon fell.
      The nurse now told me to go n lie down n d nxt tin dey brought a tube n inserted it in my anus oooo n did some abrakadabra n told me 2 stand n walk around 4 10min n go 2 toilet n poo.that its 2 avoid pooing during labor.afte walkin n goin 2 poo I felt so calm n empty but still feeling sexy.

      Finally they asked me to go n lie down on d bed n pass drip on me n in less than 10 min contraction started wit 5min interval n I ws ask 2 lie on my side.d pain ws 4rm oda world.
        I couldn't shout cos I hv read it wont help mata so I turn d pain 2 d wall of d delivery room.i almost broke der wall.( I have never spoken in tongues this lengthy lik I did yday). I ws praying n speaking d word to myself that it wil end in praise. Wen ever dey come 2 check me,it was lik war.after being in labour 4 2hrs 15min I called one of d nurses n told her I want to poo n she said she checked me in less than an hour n I ws 4cm n dat as a ftm I wil go through labor minimum of 8hrs.i called her after 5min again that I wnt 2 poo n wen I started screaming she now came 2 check me n ws surprised I ws fully dilated.b4 dey could convert d bed 2 delivery one I started pushing cos my baby's head ws out already n my 2nd pushing brought forth d body.
       My baby came out weighing 3.4kg
