Is anyone writing Environmental Science. My bachelors degree is in Agriculture I need links please

I was wondering if staying on or off campus as an international student in UK or any Western country could effect the information one could get with regards to hustling while studying (with and without a work permit) as well as networking with the locals and other student. Which do you suggest is better? Any personal experience in line with this topic will be helpful. Thank
