pryme: As far as am concerned, the best Batman villain in movies for the past 1 and half decade has to be The Riddler (Played by Jim Carey), He outshined Val Kilmer as the Batman in his own movie. Jim was a like a live wire in this one.
Heat Ledger's Joker has to be the most overrated act in Hollywood, even before his death his Joker received a lot of criticism, I don't know what for. But for me? What good is joker if he can't crack jokes, Heath was just too uptight for a joker and too cold.
C'mon, the joker in the dark knight cracked some jokes
-"what doesnt kill you makes you stranger" -"never start with the head......" (in response to batman trying to beat him to a confession)
I just pulled this from memory as I havent watched the movie in like 3 years
Fun, funny superhero movie. It was actually silly at some points but it was funny. There were plot holes and certain overused tropes but the fun will just make you happy
mekaprime: Guys both Affleck& Bale are great actors but just as Beorn said, its the superior storyline that made Bale stand out, in comparison to Affleck performance. Both are great, but what you have to understand is that both represents Batman at two different stages of his life,Bale being a younger version while Affleck an older version. While Bale's Batman seemed like the epitome of his characteristic was because Bales Batman was young & still believes that there is good in everyone while Affleck's version of Batman is older experienced version who understands the line between justice & crime & Affleck also had a less avenging spirit of vengeance and was more of an armchair vigilante.
Bales Batman was able to own the the character because Bale had a number of Batman movies to call his, unlike Afflecks' Batman that doesn't have a superhero movie to call his as he kept on sharing the spotlight with other superheroes, basically, he never really gets to take full ownership of the character, BVS was with Supes & WW & JL was way worst, its kinda difficult to be a definitive Batman when you’re not the sole superhero.
For now, I strongly give it to Bale, but if in the near future, Affleck is to be given the kind of opportunity( a superior standalone storyline) Bale got, there is no disputing that he's going to be the better Batman .
Bullshite. Bale has always been a better actor than Affleck. Affleck can never ever be a better Batman
Bale is the master of brooding. Brooding being Batman's natural state. Just look at his work in Equilibrium.
Beorn: Fury fought like a coward, same accusation they've used to label Mayweather's style and yet he's unbeaten till retirement. Keep believe boxing needs no skills and knowledge behind it, just all out punching.
Unfortunately, I believe that boxing is not an art.
I prefer UFC.
Size matters a lot in boxing. If Deontay Wilder was 5 inches shorter, he would be a useless boxer.
Deontay has no skills yet he could beat the 2 most skilful heavyweight boxers in the world. Ortiz and fury. Boxing is dead.
Even Lomanchenko lost to a professional cheat called Solido.
only 3 out of 35+ fights please remove gerald washington from that list,AJ on the other hand has faced klitschko, whyte, povetkin, parker, takam and currently holds the WBO,WBA titles and IBF super heavyweight titles.
Beorn: It's not the knockdowns that gave Wilder the edge o jare. It's the dumb Mexican judge that doesn't know zilch about awarding points in a boxing match.
How come both neutrals and well-seasoned boxing critics, as well as retired heavyweights like Lennox and co, gave Fury the W? Do you know better than the majority who exposed the foolishness of the Mexican ref? Wilder was helped by a wrong judgement. Simple!!
The judges have made their decision, go and sleep.
Fury fought like a coward. Had he been braver, he would have won the fight. He was too scared of Wilders punching power. He was the better boxer.
Being the better boxer doesn't mean you won the fight.
Beorn: Who hyped Affleck? Definitely not me. My point has been well noted here. Being lean doesn't make you more athletic. Bale doesn't look more athletic than Anthony Joshua despite him being more lean than him.
Actually Bale does look more athletic. Do you see thick footballers nowadays? Do you see thick marathon runners nowadays?
Beorn: Go read the link KoiceReloaded dropped, Ben was given a heavier suit in the movie. Zack Synder is a cunt_!! Affleck's not thick. Don't you know Affleck again? Are you mistaking him for The Rock?
Still, Ben Affleck's batman looked fat and my original point still stands- Bale looked more athletic than Affleck as batman. His fights were even better and more realistic.
Beorn: This is embrassing coming from you. So, at this age of enlightment, you don't know that knocking someone down doesn't mean the person lost as long as he didn't stay down and won more points than his opponent?
So you don't know boxing is won by points in the absence of TKOs? He knocked him down, so what? Who landed the cleanest punches and won more points? Did Fury get TKOed? Oga, go Google the fight, Wilder lost. The dumb referee denied Fury a fairytale comeback.
Did I not say that Deontay won serious points for the knockdown? Or do you not know how to read?
At the end of the day, the knockdowns gave Deontay the edge when it came to points. Simple.
Beorn: Batman in that cartoon is not lean. Are we seeing different pictures or what? And dude, Affleck doesn't look like a weight lifter. You're confusing the abs artificially given by the suit too. In that cartoon pic, Was the suit the same as the movie's?
Beorn: Bale was not "fat" as you wrote earlier. Granted Bale was slimmer, it doesn't make him more athletic looking than Affleck. So, because Bale is more slimmer than AJ the boxer, he looks more athletic than him?
Nothing Koice wrote that I didn't know. I said Affleck would've made a better Batman if not for the crappy CGI, mediocre storyline and insipid script by Zack. That's my way of agreeing that Bale was a better Batman than Affleck, but he'd have been worse if he acted his batman during Affleck era. Batman in BvS was one of the most average batman ever thanks to a useless script and irritating CGI. Put Bale in the BvS and he'd look as poor as Affleck was.
It is no surprise that the best heavyweight boxer is a lean guy. Deontay Wilder.
Anthony Joshua is a coward unless he fights Wilder or Fury
KoiceReloaded: I can't believe that some people are actually equating the forgettable Affleck's Batman to legendary Bale's Dark Knight, and worse, picking Affleck's over Bale's. Now, I have seen it all.
Please, watch this YouTube video. It is done by WatchMojo.com, YouTube's number one movie review channel.
If you're still in doubt, kindly peep into this LINK to see where both ranked in history.
Like someone said in the YouTube comment section, Affleck may be Batman, but Christian Bale is THE DARK KNIGHT. Both are incomparable. Bale's Batman is by far the best Batman I've seen onscreen. It's not even a contest.
skinny bale batman is who you say is more athletic than batfleck
Beorn: JeromeBlack, Bale looks more athletic than Affleck? In which world?
All of you know nothing. Lean muscle beats hulking muscle.
That is why lean Bruce Lee is better than thick church Norris. Ben Affleck has a Johnny Bravo look- Thick chest, small legs. The batsuit looked bulky on him.
gustav25: Sharrap ... Did he make any Innuendos about the movie being a DC shit movie ? I know comprehension is one big issue for Nigerians of different classes
Did he have to say it outrightly?
Abeg shift your cavernous head away from my front this morning.
abeg shift,a lot of batman fans hate bale batman, his performance is boring and bad, they even consider affleck performance in dawn of justice to be far better than bale entire performance
KoiceReloaded: By dying, he not only immortalized the character, but he also set the bar pretty high. His portrayal will always be the benchmark for others to match or surpass.
Some painter's paintings increase in value when they die.
kongolo: Heath Ledger has been placed on a pedestal by pasty white fanboys.Apart from "10 Things I hate about You," how many other watchable movies did he appear in before his death?
