raumdeuter: Very naive comment. 1. There was a military cover up of the incident. That is why the videos of killing civilians were leaked. Jesus christ man, use your head. 2. Is Al Qaeda a legitimate military force or a terrorist group. Are you comparing them to American military that is bound by international conventions? |

Can you point to any Presidential policies Obama used to enrich himself? I can point to many Trump did eg positioning his family in federal govt business. Using his hotel for official govt business. 3 Likes |

raumdeuter: Thanks for showing your dishonesty. Chelsea Manning is a hero. She exposed how the usa military killed civilians in airstrikes both in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yes, She broke the law but considering what she educated the public on, it makes sense for her to be pardoned. Now, you are comparing this to Trump who pardined rich scammers and thieves who were his friends or associates. Is that the same? 2 Likes 1 Share |

raumdeuter: This is the problem with many Americans. They know nothing about other countries. There are many countries that are far better than the usa and there is research to back it up. For instance, the Human Development Index ranks countries on various indicators to determine the most developed countries in the world. Here are the most developed countries in the world ranked- 1. Norway 2. Switzerland 3. Ireland 4. Germany 5. Hong Kong 6. Iceland 7. Australia 8. Sweden 9. Singapore 10. Netherlands https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Development_Index As you can see, the usa does not make the top 10 developed countries in the world. America where your child school can shot up by a mass murdering student with an assault rifle. America where people cannot afford to go to hospital. People with jobs cannot afford health insurance and die. America where people cannot drink water in some states because of lack of environmental laws tackling fracking. America where police can beat your sense out of you with police brutality and get away with it because "they are afraid for their lives" America where the public school system doesnt teach proper history and about other countries. America where the public school is dying. America where the average citizen has to enter debt because the cost of going to university is too high. America that has never had a female leader. America that women dont have reproductive rights. Contraceptives and abortion are difficult to access by the average woman. All these problems are almost non existent in other developed countries, especially the top EU countries. Only an inbred american ignoramus thinks that America is the greatest country in the world. Let me leave you with a video of an American tv show telling you why America is not the greatest country in the world.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTjMqda19wk |

SenecaTheYonger: False. They pay higher taxes in the UK and most of the EU and yet, they have a better welfare system, transport system and healthcare system. Taxing the rich theor fair share works in a developed country 1 Like 1 Share |

SenecaTheYonger: So you prefer to be ruled by oligarchs? Is it a Democracy or oligarchy you want? There has to be some sense of equality. The one percent should pay their fair share. Mind you, I am not saying this as a poor man but as a business owner who pays taxes. 1 Like |

raumdeuter: Dumbass. Why dont you use Sweden, UK, Iceland and Canada as examples of socialist leaning countries? Furthermore, small to medium scale employ a lot of people if you do not know. There are more people in the 99% than 1%. Edit. It is one thing to get super rich, it is another to avoid paying taxes because of lobbying, loopholes and corruption 3 Likes |

Foreign Affairs / Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by JeromeBlack: 3:52pm On Feb 18, 2020 |
SenecaTheYonger: And how has tax cuts helped the poor? You keep feeding the rich and the poor will still get poorer. Go back to american history. There was a time taxes were as high as 60% if not more. Billionaires didn't suddenly run away. There is profit and there is super profit. Increasing taxes for the 1% wont lead to armageddon. USA wont collapse. Higher taxes for the 1 percent should be met with subsidies for small to medium business owners. As for China, it is a different case. I agree with you that Trump is wrong with the trade war. 1 Like 1 Share |

raumdeuter: The highest earners? You mean the one percent who have many loopholes to escape taxes? You mean the mega-corporations who get millions of dollars in tax cuts? I dont think rich people dont pay taxes. I am against the uber-rich getting tax breaks and using loopholes to escape paying their fair share. I am talking about multi-millionaires and billionaires. |

kokanepyramid: Who is asking for 80% tax? Furthermore, the loopholes and tax cuts are easily remedied by having federal laws that close them. You have no point |
Foreign Affairs / Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by JeromeBlack: 9:20am On Feb 18, 2020 |
kokanepyramid: Tax cuts for the rich. If you support Trump, you indirectly support tax cuts for the rich who do not need it. Trump himself wont release his tax returns. Bernie Sanders wants to tax billionaires. What is wrong with that? These are the one percent that have enjoyed tax cuts and many federal bailouts (which the right/republicans never see as socialism) and have escaped paying tax through various loopholes. |
