If you're looking for people to meet, and you stay in Umuahia, drop your whatsapp phone number here. You will be added to a group chat where you can meet others in this area and maybe get to meet a few. Let's take time to get to know each other better. |
So I missed doing something special on Mother's day because my phone was stolen, and I had to do a lot of work to make this video. It's a special narrated video. Watch it, share and comment... ☺️ https://youtu.be/AB68R9HhOMM https://i.imgur.com/MI6jZT2.jpg I believe you'll enjoy the video, and let it touch you as well. |
I need someone who can make an app similar to this one. (ie Android code os preferred, because the majority of people in Nigeria use Android powered phones) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.medengage.clinical If you check out the app, and see it's possible for you, please holla. Though I want to expand the functionality of the app, with a few more basic things. It's aimed at medical students in Nigeria. also, anyone who wants to give advice can also give it. Thanks

So we're starting up a new section where we answer questions people have about various things and give out expert advice. Key in now!! It'll be the bomb!... figuratively ![]()

Of course. I believe you should do so. It;s a very bad habit most nigerian bloggers are engaging themselves in. I myself, being a blogger do not plagiarize. Whenever i want to paste content from another site for reference I always paste a link to the original place, and state the origin of the work if I can. |
You really should check out http://therealjamike..com/ It's absolutely amazing!!! There are tons of various different stuff to check out there. No rubbish at all, but real and down-to-earth articles. |
You need to have good quality content, for example you can see it on a blog like http://therealjamike..com/ Check it out to see how you can make your OWN blogs and websites better. There are tons of various different stuff to check out there. No rubbish at all, but real and down-to-earth articles. |

Did you ever fall for someone you know you shouldn't? Try hard to fight your feelings, but you just couldn't? You fall deeper with each passing day, But try to hide it in every possible way. He's only a friend, and nothing else-- That's the lie you keeping telling yourself. You keep on saying he's just a bud, But deep inside, you're falling in love. You get so giddy when you meet his eyes, But keep reminding yourself it isn't right. A simple glance turns into a stare, But you pretend that you don't care. It's "not right", for you two to be. Is that why you hide it so no one can see? But how long will you pretend? Keep lying that he's just a friend? Perhaps your feelings you can never show. Perhaps it's "wrong", for him to know. Your friendship can't be risked over this, So being his girl is an impossible wish... N/B: THis poem isn't an original by me. I just liked it and decided to share ![]() #Say_No_To_Plagiarism

Okay guys. Back on beauty again...... I wrote a article some weeks back on the issue of "beauty". I was taking a pseudo-altruistic view because I wanted to be honest in the depths of the truth of "real beauty". The beauty that would make the world a better place. This time we'll be looking at the nature of the beauty that we focus on - today, in the world. Let's be honest. With these four people in the above pic, who do you think is "more beautiful" . Do you judge beauty by external appearance?Well most of us do. Be honest, you automatically judged the older ladies as ....beautiful....but 'wanting' didn't you? :| Chaiya.... So you're an ageist? Ok, So.... I got a lot of responses for the article on which I wrote, ie "Beauty and the Beast" (If you haven't read it, you can open it by clicking on that blue link). Most of them came through on whatsapp or from people in everyday life. I really would like you guys to try and make more comments in this site however #sad_face. It's good for other people to know how others think and realize the alignment of their views with regards to the world around them, if it is the same or different, positive and negative. To show others a world outside their own or one similar to it. To the people who've made any effort on commenting, successful or not, I give my most heartfelt thanks to you. Y'all are downright AWESOME. So a friend of mine showed me this pic below. This is apparently the picture of the girlfriend of a Nigerian music artiste - Ice Prince. He told me that I should forget what I'm saying on my previous blog article http://therealjamike..com/2015/02/beautyand-beast.html, that that's a picture of real** beauty. "The kind of girl that if you cheat on your girlfriend with her, even your gf will not blame you", he said One of the commenters [some people prefer the more correct term 'commentators'] on the first article, an anonymous conmenter said "Bro forget that one,i vote for UKWU above the beauty inside" Lol. I'm not even going to talk about that. But it's actually very true that we tend to focus more on the 'superficial aspects and points' of beauty than on the altruistic and ethereal kind. Beauty as we see it, portrayed and understood, in the world that we live in, is a pragmatic kind of beauty. It is aesthetic and definingly substantive. The beauty one can see, touch and compare. The butt, the ........ etc . Yes - there are obviously some words I will NOT be using on this blog anytime soon. Y'see my parents read my blog too apparently #stone_face :| Beauty in the true conceptual nature is rarely ever recognized or appreciated. Another commenter 'Herbie' says that "Everyone says it but few pple act it, doesnt eliminate d truth in it tho." That's true. Let's take a look at this picture below... How many magazines or tv shows or videos would feature a roster of women with similar images as this and name it "Most beautiful women" ? It's cruel I know, but it's the truth. Nobody ever does it. And I wonder, in fact, if anyone truly ever will. Everyone keeps talking about beauty being on the 'inside', but how many of us truly put that criteria as a critical priority in our appreciation of everyday women? It seems almost nobody really cares all too much about beauty on the 'inside' as much as they do on what they see outside. Honestly I remember when my sisters sternly warned me some years back to not even try to marry an ugly woman. I understand what they meant however, no - they weren't asking that I marry an egocentric superficial pretty-obsessed girl, and it's one of the things that sticks with you no matter what you see in the future. The little voice in the back of your head that tells you to remember everyone's expectations of you. Not just what you're meant to look like but also what you're meant to seek out. One of the problems many people seem to have is that of self-image. If it's not of their body then it's of their face. Their feet. Their hands. Height. Even their accent and 'walking step' . Beauty is body type and shape. Which are you? Beauty is now so all-encompassing. Beauty is everything. Every time. What we live in is a world that is so much more inherently focused on the instantaneous superficial presentation than on lasting deep-set enacting of the presence, character and action of beauty. There's nothing wrong with looking for a "pretty woman" or a "good-looking man". Just try to look for a pretty woman with a pretty heart, and a good-looking man with a good-feeling heart. Let's make a world where people don't just beautiful their bodies, but try to beautify their minds and hearts also. ... You can read the part 1 and part 2 here; http://therealjamike..com/2015/02/beautyand-beast.html <----Part 1 http://therealjamike..com/2015/04/beauty-and-beast-3.html <----Part 3 |
I hate romance movies. I used to be more or less apathetic towards the genre and it’s relations and concepts but lately they just annoy me. A lot now. The fact that a movie will show a story of people being/falling in love within 2 hours is deceitful. Frightfully so. It’s like showing a football match of Manchester United vs Chelsea within a 2 minute video. I have a very active imagination, if I do say so myself – and it’s very much influenced by the things I watch, see, hear and know – as is everyone’s imagination I’m sure. I grew up reading a lot of novels and books when I was much younger, some of which in my house were my elder sisters books, which - for the most part, were romance novels and the like. So more or less, I grew up believing that love and romance were just around the corner – just waiting to find you, and not you; it. Needless to say, I’ve more or less seen that life doesn’t really work out that way. Maybe if you’re a girl it might, but with the quality of boys/men we have these days- I’m really starting to doubt that. Most boys/men seem to be interested in the “score your goal and victory” concept. Get the thing done and leave. I won’t be particularly elaborating on that topic right now – as interesting as it is shaa. Nevertheless, you know how in romance movies, two people just randomly or miraculously happen to meet by chance, like at a baseball park, at a shopping mall, in school hallway, on a sinking metal boat or heck even at the persons’ wedding even. Felt like magic when you watched it happen didn’t it? You wanted your very own version of romance. Well. Tough news for you. Don’t expect magic oo. Yes – it actually CAN happen. In the best of cases - it usually does.(Some people would really prefer to call it a miracle, but it;s all good either way; po-tay-to, potah-to) But it IS rather unlikely that love and romance will come falling out of the sky and land on you like a raindrop out of the air. That’s the problem I have with these movies. They show a love story in an hour or two and end up giving you a false sense of reality. There’s nothing of the struggles, the insecurity, the courage building or social impact that you will feel in your hearts depths. Listen. I’m not saying that romance movies are useless and you should never EVER watch them. I actually know a few romance movies (okay, mixed genre actually – why would I watch a purely romance oriented movie, I have things to do yknow) that are very nice, have amazing characters, plot-lines and emotion. My problem isn’t with the movies themselves, inherently, but rather the effect they give to people. Everyone now thinks that falling in love is like 1, 2, 3. I realize, of course, this could just be my own biased opinion, so I’ll leave a lot of room for discussion, correction and change. This is more or less a rant anyways – so it’s obviously more than a little subjective in statement. A lot of people, especially females (no, I’m not gender biased please) seem to fall very easily for the enchantment and “promise” of love. Within a day or so you’ve magically “fallen in love” – when the guy is probably just playing the current match, planning on a few more before he “retires”. A lot of people don’t understand what LOVE really is, what it’s about, how it’s meant to last or where it’s meant to come from. They just go around falling in love every 2 or 3 months with 2 or 3 different people. There’s no continuity. There’s no concept of forever. Someone (or some people) said that Love is a "chemical reaction", and though they were referring more or less specifically to dopamine - I'll be putting my own take on it. Those of you who have at least done basic science would be able to recall that there are many types of chemical reactions, and they can usually take at east three time frames to occur; >They can occur instantaneously >They can be spontaneous and occur at any moment - without any prior noticeable cause. >They can take tens hundreds of years even more. Love is just like that. Not always a 30min interaction that makes someone want to sacrifice their entire life for you. Another problems is the fact that the idea of Love these says also seems to be almost conjugated with the concept of sexual intercourse (sounds bland and formal when i say i like that right? LOL). The physical form of intimacy which many people confuse what love and it's culmination are REALLY about. Forget the physics part till you understand the right formulas first. Love needs chemistry ![]() I think there should be definitive layout or outline, or something, to help people get a firm reality check on these things. With the way movies are going these days, it won’t be far too long before our society is adopting, more or less, 50 shades of love. (Please do forgive all of the very weird football references up there in the beginning and afterwards. I couldn’t really come up with better lines, then, as I was writing) You can find even more articles, as interesting as this on http://therealjamike..com/ ![]() |
It's understandable that most people wouldn't like school since they look at it as a cage. Like a monster holding them in. They feel like they're literally in the belly of the beast they just wait for the time to finish up and the bell to ring so they can rush out and away ASAP. I'm talking about teenagers or young adults here by the way. They believe in that situation that they're like puppets on a string. They want freedom. They want space. They want to have fun. Not so much to ask right? It seems that they only want so little which is in fact, really so much. The thing is - young adults seem to be concerned about doing everything else that there is to do outside the school that they've start to want nothing to do either what goes on on it. Why? Restrictions? Authority issues? Personal space? Nutella + Cookies? Most adults, most especially the less literate ones would love to go back to school and either relive their glory days or enhance and better themselves. They see a value in which the majority of the youth do not. It seems to me that as each generation comes on by less emphasis, importance and value is placed on schooling, education and the environment in which the process is done. This is happening especially due to the evolution of technology, culture and information worldwide. Students and not, are seeing alternatives and options to schooling and the process of schooling. My reason for writing this article, however, is not to explain the predicament facing the world on issues of changing precepts and beliefs. I want to address a simple issue. The school opportunity. It's a simple concept - easily understandable as well. The things you COULD and SHOULD take full advantage of while still in school. The grades. The classes. Networking. Learning. Most people only realize what they've missed out on, and what they could have done - in school, only when they leave it and graduate. That's when you realize all of the missed chances, opportunities and advantages that were made available to you. That's when you start to get lessons from the hands of life to make you understand what the instructors in your school were trying to do and why they were trying to do it. I've decided to open up the issue of some nonsense in our society with my article. Todays' article deals with the ridiculousness of some of the most silly song lyrics to ever run over my ear. Iyanya - "from the couch to the bed, from the bed to the bedroom" "She carry front, she carry back;she too package.. I can't leave her. Is one of the reason I can't leave... Am loving Uuuu eeh " D'prince - "Take banana till you go yo" Image result for worst lyrics The song world is riddled with tons and tons of ridiculous and outlandish lyrics that make sane minds pause the song they're listening to for a moment. Most songs that get into the top hits are usually there because they have 'good beats' and rhythm. It's not a sin to like good beats or have them. I'm not against good beats either. I like them well enough. But there are times when the lyrics of a song are just SO bad....good beats can't possibly be good enough. If you have never paused any one of these songs or thought about the utter ridiculousness of the lyrics or its lack of contribution to any part of human society, then you are either very fun-loving, insane or the producer or maker of the song. Here are some of a few more lyrics to make you wonder "What ever happened to good music? " 1. David Guetta featuring Akon, “Sexy B***h” “I’m trying to find the words to describe this girl / Without being disrespectful / Damn you’se a sexy b***h.” Honestly Akon, I really think you didn't try hard enough at all.... :| 2. Nicki Minaj, “Stupid Hoe” “You a stupid hoe / You a / You a stupid hoe / (stupid, stupid).” 3. Live, “Lightning Crashes” “Lightning crashes, a new mother cries / Her placenta falls to the floor.” But why...? 4. Live - "All Over You" "Our love is like water / Pinned down and abused for being strange." Okay. First of all, you can't PIN DOWN WATER. Also, water covers 70% of the earth. It is the LEAST STRANGE thing on the planet. First off, WHO is even going around ABUSING WATER FOR BEING STRANGE? And we ran into the world looking for what wasn't missing. Love. It was in us. Why didn't we see it? Why didn't we feel it's warmth? Why did we keep searching the outside for what was primed up inside our hearts. Many people think love is the situation in which you like someone and feel this crazy urge to just go and connect with them. Many think it's when your heart beats faster or when you've got butterflies in your tummy. But those are really just medical conditions though - please go and see your doctor today. You don't need to be given love to have it in you. You were made and created from love. If not of your parents, your Creator. You, your very self, are proof of love. If you really don't believe me then check your mirror. That's you. That is Life. If you still don't believe me put your hand again against your chest and feel your heartbeat. That's a purpose. If you still don't believe in that then go outside and look around you. Everything that you see is created for you. That's a place. These three things fulfill the criteria of love in any context you can see or think of - Marriage, Family, Benevolence, Sacrifice. Life, Purpose and a Place. That's what love gives to you. That's all you really need or truly get when you're loved. Go out and give someone one of these three things. They just might need a little love to save them today.....Just like you and I. We don't need to go out and look for a 'Love Story'. We are one. Look in. Check out more cool articles at www.therealjamike..com ![]()
