This is the Largest Internal Organ in the body of an animal....

It Consists of lobes and receives nutrients from the alimentary Canal through the hepatic Portal vein.

Function of the Liver.
✓The Liver Converts excessive glucose into glycogen in the Presence of insulin from the Pancreas and other Substance into insoluble forms.

✓It Carries out deamination.Protein or amino acid cannot be stored.Excess amino acids are broken down into Urea excreted in a Carbonhydrate form.

✓ It stores iron resulting from breakdown of blood cells.

✓ It Stores Vitamin (e.g Vitamin A,D and B12)

✓It Synthesizes blood Proteins.
