Insecure men are intimidated by a woman in an expensive car. They either think it was bought for her by a man and assume she'll be high maintenance or that, if she worked hard to get it, she'll be harder to control as she's got a successful career. The funny thing about this is that women feel the same way too about other successful women in the some cultures. Either way women can't win. You're either a gold digger or a bossy control freak. So I say, screw it. Do whatever you want. No point living your life to please others because you'll only end up being unhappy. But personally, I find that I get more appreciating looks from both sexes and more men want to chat to me about my performance car (that I saved up for 10 years to buy secondhand, BTW!!!!) than when I had the old banger. But that's in the UK. I may not fare so well in Nigeria. |
Hi folks, Any help will be greatly appreciated so thanks in advance I just sent my mother a 2002 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL Sedan bought in the States and sent to Nigeria. Immediately after clearing customs it was taken for a full service in which oil, fuel filter and air filter were changed. And that's the end of the good news. Now the car has the following issues a. It burned through a full gallon of engine oil in one journey from Lagos to Ilesa two days after the service. b. There is black, oily soot in the exhaust pipe c. Engine will no longer starts... it simply won't turn over. Now the car is in care of my mum and the poor woman is at loss at what to do. I sent her the car to alleviate transport issues and she has spent the past two days worrying sick. Mechanics in Nigeria appear to want to just take her money. They tell her it's the kick starter, they replaced it and not surprisingly to me, it didn't fix the issue. From my little knowledge of cars, kick starter hardly seems possible as the car was started just fine that morning. Without the engine oil issue I would have thought it was the battery but now, I'm leaning towards some leakage of the engine oil or possible piston or PCV valve/piston malfunction within the engine block itself. Does anyone know of any reputable Nissan auto professional anywhere in Osun whom you can put me in contact with so they can assist my mum? Any help will be greatly appreciated please. Many thanks in advance. God Bless all. |
