I dont know why some so called Naija stars gets HIGH on stardom when they get to that level, J Martins was called for a show in Zurich,Switzerland, when he got there he couldnt even greet his teeming fans over there, or even sign autograph for them, He snubbed them outrightly and was even feeling too big to mingle with the organizers of the show!!, can u imagine? Common J Martins of yesteryears, no hating on the guy though(am even his fan), but he was a nobody way back in Enugu who couldnt pay his house rent where he was livin in a boy's quater at New Haven in Enugu, anyway sha, let him take it easy or else pride will be his downfall, |
Hello peeps, this our music industry dat some people look down on is big in all these African countries. I know we hav wack hip hop mcs and singers in Naija yet there are d good ones. Especially tak time to listen to these upcoming acts, some of dem are very good. Naija Music is on its way to world explosion. Our music is big in East Africa( Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda) where they hav a vibrant music industry. One Kenyan girl was telling me last year how they really likes FLAVOUR'S NABANIA. Talking of Flavour, a cousin in Togo told me dat d guy is popular in Togo to d extent of coming to their stadium to open up a big match there with their president in attendance. Naija music is now influencial in Africa. |
lagoslag:Lmao, Na another eldee naa. U think say na Eldee da don? Nooooo.lol. Naija music artistes are funny. Me am enjoying d show, make dem keep on dissing and make we dey enjoy. Lol. |
They are many but will list some. Stolen by Jay Sean, Ifunanya by P Square, Forever by Paul Paul, Down for U by Ja Rule ft Ashanti, Tell Dem by Desperate Chicks, CyberLove by Matt, Siamini by T.I.D(Tanzania), Rude Boy by Rihanna, La Lona by Slow Dogg ft Spata E, Desperate Chicks etc, Asanwa by Flavour ft Waga G. |
Tony Tetuila time don pass naa. He was a hit in his days. Slam, i dont know for him sha. He went under for too long. Resonance don split naa, Esther has gone solo. Dats good for her cos Guchiano(her partner) was using her to shine. She had a solo album in 2008 which didnt do very well in d market. She need to come up wit a banging joint. |
Nairalanders, post ur comments about dis joint. Dont download and keep to urselves. |
Listen up and post ur comments about d song. |
Dis Charly Boy no dey tire. Anyways, i luv dis joint, its a party joint. First heard it on Delta 97.92Fm,Asaba last year and i ve been luvin it. It was produced by Dekumzy, here's d link www.jaguda.com/charlie-boy-drops-new-single-dance-dey-go-feat-desperate-chicks/ |
The whole artistes were good. The joint was so touching, Eldee, Omawumi, Waje n d rest killed it. While watching d video on Music Africa, i started feeling d pain of Dagrin's death all over again. Just hope dat Naija wil produce another rapper like him. |
igbo boy:Lmao. Nwanne gbaya nkiti. I maro na Tosin wu lawyer Ikpeama? Lmao. |
I dont know why some upcoming artistes cant sing or rap nowadays without dissing a top artiste. Its so sick!! I call it cheap publicity. Heard one guy last year called Young Teddy frm PH City n he was dissing M.I. He used M.I's SAFE beat. D joint was good but d diss was uncalled for cos he said he didnt know MI frm Adam. Imagine dat? |
Kinezeala:yeah the song was very good. Follow d links up and watch. |
Lol. Dont know man. Dats the Naija way. Was shocked to the marrow one day when i discovered one artiste called QUARREL. Lmao!! |
Nairalanders, lemme know what u think of the song. Ur candid opinion are all welcome. Keep dem coming. One luv!! |
Dekumzy is a music producer and artiste from the Eastside of the music industry. He's based in Enugu and has his own label DEKUMZY ENTERTAINMENT where he manages DESPERATE CHICKS. But he recently moved to Abuja with his crew. His monster hit of 2008 WHO GET DAT THING(remix) was d hottest hit song out of East Naija. The track rocked all d parties, clubs and shows in d East, PH and Delta. It features Slow Dogg( Nigga Raw's rap-alike) and Stormrex( the 3rd girl in Desperate Chicks dat sings mostly in Igbo and pidgin). Here are d links- Who get dat thing rmx-Dekumzy ft Slow Dogg and Stormrex- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohIfzlkatsc http://www.savevid.com/video/nigeria-dekumzy-feat-slow-dog-stormrex |
ofokaofoki:i dont know why some ignorant people like u will open their mouth where intelligient things are discussed. See person calling AWKA a village, for ur info AWKA is a kool town with alot of beautiful chics n kool dudes. Well what do i expect from someone like u dat haven't left his village in Ekiti to anywhere before, talk more of coming to d East. Go to Enugu, Owerri n other places in d East n see how things are run there. I think underaged people like u who doesnt know how to talk will be restricted here. Why dont u know SLOW DOGG when i posted his thread since u claim to live in d city. I hav being around NAIJA, so keep quiet. |
Dagrin, correct Naija boy!! Am so so impressed. Naija hip hop is getting there!! NAIRALANDERS, what do u think of him? |
Oh my God! Dont judge a book by its cover. I have been hearing of Dagrin but my interest wasnt really there. I thought he was another Lord of Ajasa, cos i wasnt his fan. Then i bought his new album(THE CEO) and i was blown off!! This guy is too good!! Though i dont really understand Yoruba but his Yoruba is sweet to my ears. Kondo, Pon Pon Pon, Thank God n the other tracks are hot!! Infact the whole album is on heavy rotation in my CD player. As i am speaking now, Dagrin has taken over AWKA. His album is now in hot demand all thanks to Rhythm 95.7 fm AWKA and Silverbird TV AWKA. This guy will take over NAIJA soon. He spits his lyrics like Lil wayne. The guy got alot of SWAG. Dagrin all the way!! |
Genuflect:good talk man. I cant understand why a Naija American dat doesnt know anything about d nigerian music scene will come here n talk trash. I know d industry isnt perfect but d artistes are good. I hav been around and i know dat naija music has taken over Africa. @poster, do u know dat BRACKET has taken over East Africa n the rest of Africa wit their hit single YORI YORI. Their shows in East Africa is always sold out. So dont try to diss Naija music or else ur own go kpome!! |
Guys kilode now, una no wan talk again? Abeg compare the two chics joo. A puo m. |
For me its Banky W and his hit single Strong Ting. Cos he is the strongest thing dat happened in Naija music industry in 2009!! |
Genuflect:yeah i agree dat Omawumi is more popular around Naija. But Omawumi's voice too is very good too. Meanwhile Waje is so so talented. I like dem 2 chics. |
Between these 2 top Naija female singers, who's more popular and got more fan base both in Lagos n other regions of Naija. Omawumi's TODAY NA TODAY n Waje's KOLO are both ruling d airwaves. |
Guys the ball is on ur court. Between these two top Naija female singers, who's more popular and got more fan base both in Lagos n other regions in Naija. Their hit singles TODAY NA TODAY by OMAWUMI and KOLO by WAJE are ruling d airwaves. |
ok |
these are two of his tracks |
@rapjunkie,which of his tracks is dat,is it Banyi? I cant download or upload cos am using my phone. Anyway sha, music is a universal language no matter d language of d lyrics. If its good then its good. If God destined it, Slow Dogg or Dagrin or whoever will break into d Nigerian market. I used to love East African music( Kenya, Tanzania n Uganda) to d extent dat i wrote one Ugandan producer n he sent me an East African mixtape album tru DHL. Despite d fact dat i dont understand Swahili, their language. So i believe if u hav a good song n wit God on ur side,u go blow like TIMAYA!! |
Well sha why i said Ja Rule is dat his lyrics are raw and so uncensored. But has good beats u cant help but like. |
Yeah their problem is promotion but they are very good artistes. |
Yeah Rapjunkie,u can type in his name on info.com and they will refer u to www.youtube.com where u can download his joints. Or u can log on to www.softlinksmusic.com that's his label website. Am suprised dat some people dont know him,he's a household name. Am sure u must hav come across his joints in some of this Alaba mixtape. Well i guess he's what u might call a regional star. |
Hey mama gee,u might not know him if u are not based in d South East or South South. Thats why am askin anyone dat has d link 2 upload d 3 tracks. BOOTY BOOTY EVERYWHERE is a dance track and it features Queennaj(a beautiful female singer),that has a beautiful voice and she sings in English and Yoruba. LA LONA is a party joint and features Spata E(an Enugu male singer dat sings in Spanish and English), Desperate Chicks, Dekumzy and Queennaj. I LUV UGLY GIRLS is a hip hop R n B track and features Dekumzy. |
Slow Dogg is a fairly new rapper from d Eastside of d Naija music industry. Based in d coal city of Enugu and signed on to Softlinks music. He released an album in 2008 called IN THE KITCHEN,which did very well in d East, PH n Delta. With hit tracks like BOOTY BOOTY EVERYWHERE, LA LONA( a Spanish- English-Igbo track), and I LUV UGLY GIRLS, Slow Dogg become a sought after music artiste doin countless collabos.Download his best HITS here...
