the time trick works like magic even tru hotspots. Tnx. But d august update is proving stubborn. The thing wunt download no matter aw many times I click until date changes bk

If I use normal mobile network it wunt go I wld jst keep clicking on retry download but if I connect to an hotspot it shows dat but still wunt download the only diff is that with normal mobile network it doesn't leave the retry download stage but with hotspot it wunt show retry download but wunt download even after I left it overnight. What do I do? And it ain't rooted

Try renaming it to ota, if it'll work. You may also consider doing a factory reset, or else, I cannot help you further from here.
