The guy who was supposed to travel on the 16th of January, have you gotten your VFS e visa?
Also, the travel date for the VFS e visa is tomorrow, is there a need to send an email if the visa doesn’t come out today?

Submitted for evisa via VFS on 22nd December. Travel date was 15th JAN, Still have not gotten a response from them. No idea why.

Yes it was Evisa.

Applied via DHA since 27th JULY 2022, they just sent me a rejection mail this morning. (Reason: travel date has lapsed) when it's almost 6 months!

Exactly, cos they be thinking, what if the sponsor abandons them? How will they fend for themselves without fund?. Its good for your statement of account to be well standing as well as your sponsor, to be on the safe side.

I feel to be on a safer side,is better the applicant should have enough funds in his acct also,this people can be very funny.you can't be very sure if they will accept insufficient funds in his personal acct despite submitting good statement o acct of his sponsor.

I submitted for e visa since 22nd of December, I'm set to travel this Saturday. I hope it comes out this week oo. Do I need to call vfs please?

I'm really tired of this south africa visa delay! If they don't want us, then they should stop collecting non refundable application fees from thousands of people, both in vfs and their so called 'Evisa' (which I've never heard a success story of) and close down their commission in our country, let us know they do not exist. Is this not scam?!! Coupled with the fact that they hold people's passports for months without explanation. Air peace has suspended flights to southafrica partly because of lack of visas and they can't keep carrying half empty flights and losing money, soon other airlines will join. Their tourism and people whose livelihood is tied to tourism will suffer it too. This is just unfair as they have no regard for people's time, flight/Hotel money, and all the heartache we have to go through just to visit for a few days!
They complain that foreigners are stealing their jobs, but they have jobs and it seems like they are not doing it!! Please look for other African countries to visit and boycott SA if you can!
