sreamsense:This was my first app on production per say. So, I just wanted to put something out first. So, after the initial release on Android, I then subsequently added admob, then later I added in app subscriptions. The in-app subscriptions are just monthly and yearly. The prices vary from country to country. For instance, the monthly is #800 in Nigeria, and 2 Pounds in the UK etc. After the Android, the IOS was pretty easier to launch. I’ve been working on a small side project called Histoday for a while now — a “Today in History” app that makes historical events something you interact with daily instead of just reading a list of facts. The Android version has been doing surprisingly well with 10k+ downloads and a few paying subscribers, which honestly gave me the confidence to finally ship the iOS version this week. The core idea is simple: Every day the app shows historical events that happened on that date, but I tried to make it more interactive than a typical history timeline. Some of the things in the app: • Daily history quiz with streaks and a leaderboard • Calendar view where you can jump to any date in history • Personalization (topics you care about, birthday events, favorites) • 6 languages so it’s usable globally One feature people seem to like is something I call “Time Travel.” Instead of just reading a short paragraph about an event, the app lets you explore it in two modes: Story mode – the event is told like a narrative in acts (Act I, Act II, etc.), so you can move through the lead-up, the event itself, and the consequences. What-If mode – alternate history style prompts like “What if this event never happened?” or “What if the outcome was different?” It’s clearly marked as speculative but tries to stay grounded in the real timeline. There’s also Ask AI, which lets you ask questions about any historical event directly inside the app. The goal is basically to make history something you open daily, not something you only read when researching something. Tech stack if anyone is curious: • React Native (mobile) • Laravel backend • AI features via API Still figuring out growth and monetization, but the early Android traction and first subscribers have been encouraging. Happy to answer questions or hear feedback from other builders. |
Please who has experienced this before? For the past 7 days. And I already received others that came to Nigeria together

I live in a gated compound. A neighbour recently moved to one of the flats in the compound. He has a little dog. The dog leaves his flat and comes to defecate at mine (over 60m distance). The dog totally liters my place. From the back of my kitchen to the back of my study. Steps that I have taken I have accosted him several times. I have reported the dog to him. The first day I did that, he said my place was the first place he brought the dog to defecate the first time he came to the compound. I'm like why would you do that? Anytime I accost him, he will just come clean it up that day, and he won't do anything again after that day. The issue is that, I don't even want him to be cleaning up my space. I don't want the dog in my area to defecate at all. I have sprayed lime and pepper there. Yet no results. I just put camphor on the floor yesterday maybe the smell will chase the dog. Please what other options can I look into? Thanks |
