My first submission got lost at the embassy, I don't know y but the DHL delivered it and sent me proof of delivery.

After some weeks, d embassy called that they were yet to get what d requested for so I had no option but resend it to them and the passport came in within 1 week.

I submitted additional document on the 11th and I haven’t heard back…but I submitted it myself at the embassy. Do I need to worry?

Ohhh, that's the reason. If you had paid your tuition before the interview, you would have gotten your visa within the first week of April. It's obvious those who submitted after you are being attended to, especially considering they went on easter break from the 18th to yesterday, the 22nd.

So, expect your visa for any movement from now on. Congratulations in waiting

Recently, it has been seven days max. It's a case-by-case issue. If they have further verification, they might keeo you waiting. Give us your visa transcript

Did interview on the 25th march….they gave me grace to go pay up tuition fee during the interview and submit before 22nd of April . I submitted payment confirmation on the 11th of April and I’m still waiting….insurance and passport was collected on interview day

I want to thank everybody in this group for both informations that were passed here and words of motivation. I got my visa and I am so happy.
The process was a hard one but it ended well. So I am here to encourage others to keep going and to also detail my experience as somebody can learn a thing or two from it.
My first interview was scheduled for March 18th but by then I didn’t have block account confirmation. I sent an email to reschedule but I got no response. So on the interview date, I went there with the bank deposit slip and I was told I couldn’t be interviewed. I explained to them that I had already sent an email to reschedule but I got no reply. I was told to wait for a minute. The lady finally came back and told me that they just saw my email and I am lucky I did sent the email I will be rescheduled. I was rescheduled for may 8th and by then I had my block account confirmation.
During the interview I was asked repeatedly what course I was applying for and why was I choosing Germany over an English speaking country. Then I was giving 5 economics questions and 5 mathematics questions to answer and that was it. I was asked when I intend to travel as well. I was called on the 14TH if I wanted to come pick up myself or if they should use my courier envelope. I decided to go pick up on the 15th and my visa was granted. Apart from Paulinus making things difficult, it was an easy process

I was asked to. They gave me 4 weeks deadline but I submitted after four days. I got approval mail 3 days after submitting the documents.

I used Expatrio, the offer& transaction was seamless,funds were transfered from Germany and i got and printed my confirmation instantly. They also gave health insurance and travel insurance. Everything was about 12,200 there about in total.
This is my own experience, you can explore other options you've mentioned and make your choice.

INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT.

I arrived at the embassy at 5:40am for my interview, even though my appointment was scheduled for 8:00am.

Upon entry, we were instructed to arrange our documents in a specific order (Please listen to this ATTENTIVELY because people were sent back to the start by Mr Paulinus alot of times as regards this).
After document arrangements, the popular Mr Paulinus stand was next; had a seamless interaction with him (seems he was in a very good mood🙂) and i was the 2nd person to be sent into the embassy.

At the VO’s Office(Inner Chambers)
Entered the inner chambers at about past 7am

Questions:
1. What did you apply for?
2. What program are you going for? She asked this question repeatedly
3. Why Germany, why not the US?
4. Why do you want to study this course?
5. What’s your means of subsistence?
6. Do you know anyone is Germany?
7. Where do you work?

I was given 10 questions in total in Economics and Mathematics.

Economics Questions:
1. What is opportunity cost
2. Difference between demand and quantity demanded
3. State the factors of production
4. What is GDP and how is it measured
5. Explain market equilibrium

Mathematics Questions:
1. One apple costs $15, if I want to get 4 apples, how much will it cost ?
2. I have 50 oranges, if I take away 23, how many is left ?
3. If I drive for 60km in 1hour, how many km will I drive for in 2.5hours?

The visa application fee remains ₦118,500.

I completed the entire process at the embassy by 8:07am.

No, Just follow the checklist on the website and if you have primary school certificate add it.

Do I need to take anything on accommodation?

To them your original documents are your certificates, one of a kind, not easily replaceable, those are what you will get back from them while things like admission letter you got from a portal are not originals, Blocking confirmation etc are other documents which are not returned back .

So don't worry it's fine to take black and white of the admission letter. You won't have any issues.

It is the declaration form. If you used VIDEX to generate it, It will come with it and you just sign it.

But if you used the printed one you will need to print the declaration separately and sign.

How long does it take to get the visa after the interview?

So I applied in May 2023
I got an admission into a private university during that time and they permitted me to start online due to the appointment date delay.

I have actually done about 4 semesters online after the school reviewed my situation
But now they said I have to be there physically and can’t participate online anymore
I currently have 2 semesters left
Luckily I have just got a date for march 25th

Any advice on how to prepare for the interview, what documents I need to take and what to expect🙏🏻
