Guys, I have come to realize that I'm extremely stingy, especially with money.

Don't get me wrong, I do give but before you can eat or get my money, it's obvious you must have probably worked extremely hard for it.

I don't know, I have this mindset of calculating my money after daily, weekly and monthly expenses. Anywhere I discovered I misspent I'll get angry with myself. In the few posts I have written on the analysis of the coming presidential election, I have submitted that Tinubu will not win any of the five south east states and I still do not see that change.

But will he perform better than the 5.8% of the south east vote?

I think so.

And that will translate to the region giving him more that 1.4% over all.

However, a better performance does not mean that he will win in any of the states.

I agree that Obi will not get the 89% he got in the last election because the momentum has died down.

For instance, he is no more in Labour Party as Governor Alex Otti which will affect his votes in Abia state.

In Enugu state, APC is the ruling party after the defection of Governor Mbah’s defection from the PDP.

The rumour mill has it that Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state wants to replace Sen Godswill Akpabio as senate president and so he is ready to ensure that APC do much better in Imo state in the presidential election.

Governor Soludo never hide his desire to have Tinubu returned as president the second time.

Ebonyi gave him the highest percentage of 8.3 in the region in 2023 but with Umahi’s growing popularity as one of Tinubu’s best performing ministers, I expect at least 15% this time around.

They used to run a parallel government in the region.

If Obi and his supporters think that he will come close to 89% this time, they will not be too different from Tinubu supporters who think that from 5.8% in 2023, Tinubu will win any south east state in 2027.

What is important and what will happen is that he will win with wider margin in south west with Obi and Atiku losing big in Lagos and Osun where they won respectively in 2023; win north central better than he won in 2023; do far better in south south than he did in 2023; share the north west votes with Atiku even though he won in the region in 2023, a lot has since changed. Atiku will get his highest percentage of votes from north east as he did in 2023 but the great loses he will ‘incur’ in the entire south and north central will nail his political coffin for the last time.
