Religion / Re: Why Does The Modern Church Seem So Different From The Early Church Part 1? by Joeaugust: 6:56pm On Sep 18, 2022
Kobojunkiee you are right. What pisses me off the most is that christians rarely notices this. And the ones who notices either pretends not to see this or just play it down all in the name of peace and unity when really believers should be tackling and not tolerating this false doctrines and traditions
Religion / Why Does The Modern Church Seem So Different From The Early Church Part 1? by Joeaugust: 6:25pm On Sep 18, 2022
In case u havent noticed these differences. Here are some:1. The believers met in each other's home. Those that were in jerusalem met in a single temple 2. Sharing of food Was a practice and apostolic creed
3. There was no such thing as tithe or offering, not even among the jewish christians, instead what they have is freewill contribution to help the poor 4. Giving is seen as a way of showing Gods free and undeserved grace in their lives unlike our 'give to get' doctrines 5. There was nothing like revival services, concerts, outreaches or crusades. Instead, every one reached out to his neighbour(aquila, appolos) while the apostles travelled preaching. 7. Leadership was by appointment by the elders and not by hearing the voice of God. 8. There was one church in many places rather than many churches. 9. No demon was ever casted from a believer 10. Tougues were spoken in gatherings and interpreted to edify....i did not put bible verses bcus of space. Wat do u tink?
Religion / Re: Do You Go To Church Without Having An Offering? by Joeaugust: 4:59pm On Sep 18, 2022
i know a church that do not ask for offerings or tithes. Its all about the members freewill i.e if you feel like giving. evidences and proofs from the bible show a voluntary giving in the early church(acts). These contributions was then used to help the poor in the church, not some ridiculously unnessary gigantic building project as most churches now do. i wonder how the real church(members of the church i.e believers) wallow in poverty, hunger and lack while millions is spent on buildings and other things that in no way assists the needy.

Religion / Re: What Does It Mean To "Sin Wilfully" In Hebrews 10:26? - Prince Gabriel Okocha by Joeaugust: 2:53pm On Sep 16, 2022
Fantastic post. I agree with you sir. The thing about believing in temporary salvation is the fact that if it can be lost, it can never be regained thereby debunking the doctrine of rededication of one's life to God(a doctrine prevalent in nigeria).
Funny how folks explain hebrews 6: 1-8 as a believer losing salvation and overlook the fact that it 'is impossible' to regain salvation again after losing it according to their doctrine.
