The earth rotate before the sun 24 hours which make it a day. The earth goes around it orbit in cycle 366 days a year. Maybe u are talking of another light and if there is in the scripture, i will stop believe the bible becos even if the earth rotate and no sun it's not a day because its darkness and dateless.
