A vision for Nigeria, i had a vision from the Lord, please tell it to others and to thy children yet unborn and for them to pass it than to generation to generation. Its a massage that must take place, It will happen shortly and already at hand, only God knows the exact time it will before thy Nation. Behold i saw the map of Nigeria opened before thy eyes, then i saw thy children in a group of few people in the western region of the Map, they dress up in a yoruba culture dancing and jubilating, they make hold of their flag while celebrating victory. Then a short while i saw some group of very black people also in the eastern region of the Map, wearing cloths of the same color of their Flags which they hold enchanting dancing and jubilating. Then i looked at the southern region but could not find any group of persons, also i looked at the middle belt down to the northern region they where none also, it was as tried as decelt. Hearken unto the word of the Lord with knowledge to understand and translate, one word shouldn't be taken from or added to. May God be with you all. Aman. Joel. |
December 13, 2012 | 11:04 am Music By Charles Mgbolu In a mega deal that would shock both friends and competitors, D’banj has signed a distribution pact with UK giant music label, Sony Music Entertainment’s RCA Africa label; one of the flagship labels under Sony Music Entertainment. The mouth watering deal we are told also takes on his younger brother; K Switch who now enjoys a multi-album, worldwide exclusive contract with RCA. Sony also signed a strategic partnership with D’Banj’s Nigerian record label DB Records, who’s catalog includes artists and producers such as J.Sol, Jay Sleek and DeeVee. DB will now have their records distributed by RCA. *D’banj at the signing As if this is not enough, D’banj hits us with another big news; his hit single Oliver twist has been nominated in four categories at the 2012 World Music Awards, the highest nomination by any Nigerian artiste. The song is nominated in the Best African Act, Best Music Video, Best Song of the Year and Best World Artist D’banj is also booked to perform at the Awards which will hold December 20th in Miami, Florida. G.O.O.D. Music is an American record label founded by rapper and producer Kanye West in 2004. "GOOD" is an acronym for "Getting Out Our Dreams". History 2004–07: Formation and beginnings Kanye West founded the label in 2004. John Legend and Common were the first to have albums produced by GOOD Music and have received seven Grammy Award nominations between them; Get Lifted (2004) with three and Be (2005) with four.[1] Consequence was signed in 2005 through a deal with Columbia Records. In 2007, Big Sean was also signed to the label. 2008–11: Signing new talent In 2008, West signed Mr Hudson after hearing his debut album (as Mr. Hudson and the Library), A Tale of Two Cities as well as Kid Cudi after hearing his respective work from Plain Pat.[2] In 2010, the label signed Pusha T, Mos Def, and Cyhi the Prynce,[3] who was signed in a joint venture with Akon's Konvict Muzik, with the departure of Tony Williams, followed by Consequence who left the label on bad terms. In 2011, the signing of Nigerian artist D'banj and fellow producer Don Jazzy, and a distribution agreement made with Island Def Jam Music Group followed. Big Sean's debut Finally Famous was the first album released by GOOD Music with distribution by Def Jam. In 2011, West signed longtime friend and hip hop legend Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest. 2012-present: Cruel Summer and Cruel Winter In Mid-2012, Kanye West signed former Star Trak/Interscope Records artist Teyana Taylor to G.O.O.D. Music.[4] In late 2011, plans were announced for a Spring 2012 release of a GOOD Music collaborative studio album, later announced as Cruel Summer.[5] It was to be accompanied by a short film. Produced by West's design organization DONDA and shot in Qatar, the film premiered at Cannes Film Festival. It was finally released late in the US on September 18 2012. "Yet, at this moment of extraordinary scientific progress and potential, the global response to AIDS faces crippling financial challenges that threaten both past and future progress," said Jain. "World leaders must find the resources and the collective will now to bring these programs to scale so that people all over the world can benefit from the strategies available." Taking place in Washington, D.C., the 2012 International AIDS Conference began on Sunday and will conclude on Friday. Prominent speakers for the Conference include former President Bill Clinton, actress Whoopi Goldberg, Bill Gates, Elton John, and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. The theme for AIDS 2012 is "Turning the Tide Together," which Jain told CP focused on the belief that now was a "pivotal moment" in the effort to stop AIDS. "By acting decisively on recent scientific advances that have changed the landscape of the epidemic and by pursuing the momentum for an HIV vaccine and cure, we can turn the tide together on HIV and begin the march toward the end of AIDS," said Jain. "AIDS 2012 will serve as an urgent, science-driven call to action, challenging all stakeholders to harness their expertise, energy and resources to mount an effective and efficient response that can turn the tide on HIV." As the sessions of the 2012 International AIDS Conference take place, prominent faith leaders have also come to D.C. to hold a summit on AIDS awareness. Saddleback Church, World Vision, Catholic Relief Services, and Food for the Hungry will be sponsoring an event on Wednesday at Georgetown University on the matter. Titled "The Summit on the Role of the Christian Faith in Community in Global Heath and HIV/AIDS," the event will feature Pastor Rick Warren, World Vision President Rich Stearns, Catholic Relief Services President Carolyn Woo, and others. |
As the 2012 International AIDS Conference begins, experts at the event are saying that there is "no excuse" for not taking major action against the global disease. The conference is expected to draw approximately 25,000 people by its conclusion and has several major speakers and scientists reporting on the global effort to stop the AIDS virus. Shawn Jain, U.S. communications and media relations coordinator for the International AIDS Conference, told The Christian Post that this "no excuse" statement is enforced by recent developments. "These developments include new evidence of the dramatic benefits of HIV treatment as prevention, which demonstrates that this strategy has the potential to alter the course of the epidemic," said Jain. "Additionally, scientific breakthroughs have led to renewed momentum for an HIV cure. Leading scientists and research institutions from around the world are working together to develop a global scientific strategy for an HIV cure, which was launched just prior to AIDS 2012." However, as Jain noted, despite the new advances made by researchers, the financial means to advance these developments appears lacking. |
Over 23,000 delegates from more than 195 countries have converged on Washington D.C, United States of America for the XIX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) to find ways to end the epidemic. With the theme: “Turning the tide together”, delegates will present their latest research to ensure that financing and global leadership keep pace with scientific progress against HIV. The International AIDS Conference was last held in the U.S. in 1990 in San Francisco. United States travel restrictions for people living with HIV prohibited the conference’s return. Years of advocacy by ex-President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama lifted the restrictions. The International Chair of AIDS 2012 and President of the International AIDS Society (IAS), Elly Katabira, said: “Our return to the United States after a 22-year absence comes at a time of extraordinary hope. “ A time when we believe that the end of the AIDS epidemic is possible. “AIDS 2012 is an important opportunity to thank Americans and highlight the millions of lives saved as a result of generous US contributions to the global fight against AIDS and its leadership in HIV research.” |

July 16, 2012 by Emmanuel Obe, Sesan Olufowobi, Mudiaga Affe, Femi Makinde, Success Nwogu GOVERNORS Peter Obi of Anambra State, Liyel Imoke of Cross River State, Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State and Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State have congratulated Governor Adams Oshiomhole on his victory at Saturday’s poll in Edo State. Also, Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State and Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State sent their congratulatory messages to their Edo counterpart. Obi, said the feat recorded by Oshiomhole was a victory for democracy, Edo State and Nigeria. He said, “I knew what Edo State used to be and what it is now due to Oshiomhole’s developmental strides. This is a good lesson of what politics should be – the promotion of the totality of the welfare of the people.” Imoke urged Oshiomhole to extend an olive branch to the opposition parties. In a congratulatory message on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Ita, Imoke noted that Oshiomhole’s victory meant that the Edo people were happy with his administration. Ahmed described the victory as another milestone in the collective effort to strengthen democratic culture in the country. In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, Ahmed noted that it was very heart warming that despite the anxieties which preceded it, the election had been said to be peaceful. Mimiko described the victory as a reward for transparent performance. “It has become obvious that performance is now the yardstick for the re-election of any serving government. Gone are the days when incumbency power was used to perpetuate failed government in power,” he said. Ajimobi said the feat was a well-deserved victory. In a statement on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Festus Adedayo, Ajimobi said Oshiomhole’s landslide victory at the poll was an appreciation of his outstanding performance in the last four years by the people of Edo. He said, “It is a victory that every lover of good governance must applaud.Oshiomhole has become a classical example of reward for performance. His is a well-deserved victory and he is a pride to our great party, ACN.” Fashola, who noted that Oshiolmole’s victory was never in doubt, said it was a victory for the nation’s democracy and the social contract on which democracy finds its voice. He said, “For too long, our people have suffered bad governance, the social contract is beginning to make its impact. It was not whether Oshiomhole will win, it was by what margin. Fayemi described the victory of Oshiomhole as, “A well deserved reward for his purposeful leadership and the positive impact his administration has made on the lives of the Edo people.” Aregbesola said the victory was a triumph of the people’s will and aspiration in the nation’s democratic evolution. “Today marks another watershed in the annals of our political history, electoral system and party politics. The massive support he got from the people of his state clearly signposted the love the people have for him, but above all their hope in democracy and good governance, a trait which the ACN epitomises in all the ramifications,” Aregbesola said. Amosun said the wide margin victory of the Edo State governor was a testimony to the acceptability of the ACN, based on its welfarist and grassroots-oriented programmes. |
