After the Admission 🎫 rejection did you find out what you were doing wrong to get such rejections? Also do well to check Admission requirements and be sure to meet at least 70% of the requirements before putting in your applications. Also make sure you tailor your SOP to the program objectives and it's not a one size fits all kind of thing. You have to put in the work. When in doubt you can always reach out to the program coordinator for clarification. Need someone to review your SOP you can reach out to me. ❤️💡 engino: I have been trying to get admission,, I have gotten 5 rejections so far ,, I really need help on that even if it's private school that pays around 5k€,,I applied for my visa around February 2024,, |

VicUkegbu: Happy Easter everyone 🙂
I am preparing for study visa interview and I have a conflicting information regarding documents to take while going.
Below are two images; The first one is from the consular portal before booking the appointment. The second is from the email confirmation after booking the appointment.
1. I would like to know which instruction to follow.
2. I would also like to know how to get a prepaid courier service envelope (DHL) in lagos. Do I buy and take it there or can I buy it there?
3. Lastly, can I do a cash transfer for the visa processing fee or do I pay with cash there?
Thanks alot. I expect your insightful feedbacks. 1. Kindly go to the embassy with your original document as well as photocopy of each of your documents as outlined. 2. Walk into any DHL office closest to you and request for the envelop. It will be given to you for a fee. 3. Both cash and card transfer is acceptable. You can go with any you so desire but both are okay the officer might be reluctant to count cash sometimes. Wishing you all the very best. ❤️💡 |

Congratulations 👏 The second to the last paragraph sha. Go and succeed. Wishing you all the very best Germany has to offer ❤️💡 Victoryokezie: My Testimony
Before I share this Testimony I would just like to thank God for his goodness and mercy. Some people said I was lucky but I believe it wasn't luck, it was just God. There is no god but God.
My journey started in 2023. I got accepted to study In Germany in privates schools but I canceled because my bsc diploma wasn't ready. It took my university 8 months to issue my bsc diploma after my graduation in September 2023.
Fast forward to April- may 2024, I applied to 5 public university in Germany but unfortunately no public university accepted him. Time was going so I couldn't keep apply to public university or next year (because I was in north cyprus and once you get you bsc diploma, you have to leave the country because you can't renew your residence permit) . So I decided to apply to BSBI. Fortunately bsbi accepted me even tho they knew that the difficulty in getting a german visa from Nigeria (literally the person in charge with my visa questions, told me that Nigeria was difficult tk get visa, that was the first time I knew that Nigeria was one year) I didn't know that Nigeria takes 1 year + to get appointment. And by this time I couldn't go back because I have already deposit and start to attend online classes. I was flabbagasted at this point.
Because I had a cgpa of 3.13 American grading, which translate to 1.9 - 2.1 german grading and 4.2 nigerian grading, i decided that I am at category b. So I opted to go to a different country that wasn't Nigeria. I applied for turkey but turkey rejected me(due to some foolish agent in north cyprus that didn't assist at all). I applied to south africa and went to south africa but got rejected because of no south afruca residence permit.
I was frustrated at this point and decided to try my luck and go fkr Cat A(I couldn't go for Cat b because I am already a student and can't take chance waiting). Mind you all the above happened between june-september.
I applied for Cat A in November 2024 and got my appointment date in 2nd December. I decided that the only way for this appointment to go well is if I show proof that I was an first grade student (even tho technically I wasn't because first grade is from 4.5 - 5 cgpa in Nigerian scale) I decided tk message my school from north cyprus to send me a mail stating that i was a first grade student and that my cgpa of 3.13 was among the highest category. They did that(and this was what made the embassy accept me during the interview) this and also the fact that I am studying online and studying online makes the impression that I was a serious student.
Fast forward after the interview to january 2025. By this time i knew that Christmas caused some delays and new year, so I refrained from asking the embassy what is the status of my visa
A email was sent from the embassy in january 22 stating that i should provide a late arrival letter. I quickly messaged bsbi for that letter and constantly disturbed them till they sent it In january 27. That same january 27 I forward the letter to the embassy and still that same january 27 I got my AM and a mail stating that I have 1 day deadline january 28 to submit my passport and insurance (I couldn't let any lagos traffic stop me so I prepared to go early by 4 to the embassy, no be me lagos traffic go mess with)
I submitted the passport, Dr Walter incoming insurance and other necessary documents in january 28 2025
On january 31 2025, As I was eating epa and egusi soup, I got a call from the courier. And before he could finish saying "I am from ger..." I jumped up and went to collect my passport. My Passport had been stamped with the german visa.
We give God the glory. Anyone that is on this journey shouldn't give up. Remember "the tougher the battle, the sweeter the victory"✌️ |

Hannania: Heidelberg, freiburg? Really? Even with 2.0 German CGPA, with a computer science bsc, it's extremely competitive to get admitted to those two schools. Not to talk of their computer science being competitive and conservative. His CGPA is 2.96 on the German scale, which is far from the minimum, and his course work disqualifies him already.
Heidelberg needs at least 50% of the degree programme must be in computer science and the Bachelor’s thesis must be 100% from the degree programme in computer science. Evidence of an above-average Bachelor’s degree must provided with a minimum grade of 2.3. if he had the maximum third class, it's 2.96 on a 1.0 minimum pass, or 3.23 if it's 1.5 minimum pass.
The same applies to University of Freiburg. He needs GRE, plus anything below 2.0, just forget getting admitted. And it's also conservative, so no chance at all.
His best bet is to look for schools that have a 3.0 minimum CGPA for geography. He has a difficult task ahead because very little school are available, and German admissions are not easy as before I have seen people get admission even scholarship into public university in Germany. There are other ways to make it up. Having a third class isn't the end of the world and that should not limit his dream. Give it a shot, your sop should be strong enough and have other leadership roles in your CV. Even HND do fly, depends on how you present your case. ❤️💡 |

jadesclay95: Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to ask how many pages are typically ideal for a motivation letter when applying for a visa. I'm not applying from Nigeria, and the embassy hasn't specified a page limit. Thank you in advance for your responses! Two pages is the standard. |

Fredisbavk: Hello house,
I just graduated with a third class in Geography. I want to pursue a higher degree (Germany is not my first choice but I wouldn't mind it). My ideal view is a switch to tech (Computer Science or Cybersecurity), but I wouldn't mind sticking to anything Geography.
I want to know what my chances are with getting admission and what schools should I explore? Congratulations for graduating with a third class it is definitely not an easy journey. THERE IS A SCHOOL FOR EVERYONE REGARDLESS OF YOUR QUALIFICATION/CGPA.
Now here is my two cent: 1. Your LOM should be unique and it should have home ties. 2. Go for school without admission restrictions. Heidelberg University, University of Bonn, University of Freiburg etc are easy to get into. 3. Do your research use daad.de or mygermanuniversity.com Wishing you all the very best. ❤️💡 |

LANREORIOWO: Thank you.
I applied for master's and got admitted and during the application they did not ask about secondary school, they only asked about my BSc studies. I have already gotten a new Declaration of Age and Birth Certificate.
The issue now is I have submitted the Original NECO certificate on my first visit to the embassy, I do not have it with me now so I can not resubmit it.
Are you suggesting I submit a photocopy along with a scratch card? Make a photocopy and submit along with a scratch card you are good to go. But since you have Waec, why not tender it regardless of the grade. In Nigeria Waec and Neco goes. Both can be combined as one the last time I check. Did you by any means indicate you have a Waec certificate during the process? Because people have been going through with just Neco. Since your Neco is already with them do well to tender the Waec they are requesting for. Wish you all the very best. |

LANREORIOWO: Thanks for this response
I submitted my original NECO certificate along with 2 photocopies yet they asked for WASSC
I also submitted a Declaration of Age and yet they asked for a new one, I cam get that as it is no big issue but the WASSC is concerning since I submitted NECO already I suggest you resubmit the Neco and go with scratch card if that is what you use while applying for admission. Also, for the declaration of age you can get that in any court or you can get a birth certificate Attestation from NPC website you get it within hours. Wish you all the very best. |
Travel › Re: Changing The Date Of Birth On My International Passport by JOfDMostHigh: 2:35pm On Sep 15, 2024 |
NIN date of birth can be changed online via the self modification portal all you need do is. Create an account validate your NPC certificate or apply for attestation and input the correct date of birth you want to appear on your NIN. Your NPC certificate comes out in less than an hour then continue with the self service modification, validate the NPC Attestation certificate that was issued by entering the certificate ID on the NIMC portal and the correct details on the NPC attestation will reflect on the NIMC portal. Complete your application and upload the NPC Attestation certificate as supporting document.
My NIMC took a total of 5 days for my DOB to change.
Note I paid money to one yeye NIMC staff that keeps telling me stories for over 6 months, I just have to do it myself. I go collect my money back from the yeye man when am ready.
So if you want to change details on your passport. First you need to make sure what you are changing to tally with whatever that is on your NIN then the rest is history. |

NIGERIA IS WORKING AGAIN. I will Sha collect my money back from that hoodlum once am ready. |

Putting your number here is unsafe. If you have been going through the pages from one or even in parts you will be able to find your bearing. Then ask questions where you are confused. Start here=
The following steps will help newbies (Thanks to CassieV for the tips) Most of the schools in Germany are tuition free even for international students, you only get to pay a certain amount as semester fees say between 100-400 euros and most times the semester fee comes with a semester ticket to aid in transportation in your city or town. However, before you're granted a student visa, you have to prove that you can take care of your living expenses with one of the following means ; 1. Block account: The estimated living expenses for a student in a month is 720euros, when you multiply that by 12 months, you get 8640euros. This is the amount you're required to block in an already opened account with either Deutsch bank, Fintiba or Xpatrio. It is called a block account because you will not be able to withdraw everything at once, only 720euros will be released to you every month. 2. Sponsorship letter: If you have a relative living and working legally in Germany, they can get you this letter. They'll have to visit the alien office in their city and will be required to provide some documents and pay a certain fee. The letter will be sent to you when they receive it so that you can go with it for your visa interview. 3. Scholarship: This is usually the best if you have the scholarship, your visa will be granted in under 2 weeks after interview. So try and look for scholarships you can apply to. Now that you understand the financial situation, let's go into the application process. To search for schools, click on this link https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/?p=l&q=&fos=0&lang[]=2&fee[]=0&sortBy=1&page=1&display=list filter your search to make it easier, there are English taught courses there. Generally, the very important documents needed to apply to schools in Germany are; 1. Transcript 2. English Proficiency 3. School Certificates (Degree, Waec, etc) However, depending on the school, some other documents needed are as follows. 4. Curriculum Vitae 5. Motivation letter 6. Reference letters 7. GRE test 8. Etcetera.. Visit your prospective school website and find out the documents they need from you. Note: You don't apply with your original documents, you have to make photocopies of them and Certify them in High court or a Notary public. If you stay in Lagos, you can certify at the German Embassy too. You'll have to book appointment for that. For those planning to go for a Bachelors course, you need a 100level transcript from a university to apply for a BSc program in germany. WAEC alone will not be enough and No, OND will not do, you need a HND. For the application proper, it is always important to go through the website of the schools you want to apply to, you'll get a lot of information form there concerning how to apply. Some schools do only online applications, some requires that you send your application documents to them by post after applying online, some you send your documents as pdf to their email address and then you get the uni assist crew. Like I said earlier, it is important to go visit and read the websites. When you get your admission letter, open a block account immediately(that is if you don't already have a sponsorship letter) and as soon as you get your account details, send an email to the embassy requesting for a visa interview date. You need these to get an interview date: 1. Admission letter 2. Block account/sponsorship letter/scholarship letter 3. International passport data page(scanned) Then your Full name and Resident address. Prepare for your interview Go for your interview Hollakiub009: Please guys, I just joined and read through this entire trend and i can see it's been up and running for long and here i am in 2024 seeking help with Germany and Embassy. Good day all, I want to advice those that your programme has started or is about to start why not apply for the Deutchlandstipendium that automatically puts you in category A. Then take that to the embassy. But you have to check if your school is part of that.
My cent wishing you all the very best. |
