Hello all,

I want to put some led strip lights behind my TV, so it'll be mainly be used for white back-lighting. However, I also like the multi-colored flashing to music that I can do with the LED system. I also need to be able to turn on/off the back-lighting whenever I want to. Again, I would primarily have it set to white back-light.

I've got a 16F876a LED light from www.xledpanellights.com on a breadboard, and working through Nigel's tutorials. So far so good, first couple work fine. Kinda strange, when my hand gets within about 6 inches of the breadboard one of the LEDs starts to glow (the one that the switch controls). At first I thought it might of been the Pickit2 powering the circuit and maybe the BB too close to the laptop but now i'm running it through a wall-wart and a 7805 regulator.

I'm sure it's something stupid.

I was wondering if it were safe to use a standard digital dimmer switch on a LED light bulb - not CFL made to be dimming unless that's possible. I know they're pricey but it saves a lot of money in the long run. Thanks!

Hi All

I have bought some 12 volt LED lighting strips for the boat on

They are literally just 30 LED's on a strip with two wires hanging out of them.

I will be mounting them in the boat on a switch for illumination at night.
Do I need to put a fuse on them or anything or can i just connect the wires to the strips?
