A traditional chief in Ibadan, Mogaji of Ori Aare compound, has been arrested for the alleged abuse of two female minors.

The 60-year-old chief was accused of shaving off public hair from the two minors, 17 and 13, inserting his fingers in their private parts, and adding alligator pepper to the pubic hair which he later asked them to bury in their house.

Fearing that they might have been used for ritual, the siblings informed their grandmother of what had transpired with the Mogaji.

On hearing what happened and making the alleged act public, a mob soon materialized, who were intent on burning the house of the Mogaji with him inside.

Operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC) came to his rescue, and took him in for questioning.
