This is one of the best things that has happened in Lagos in recent times.

I knew all along that arresting motorists and imposing fines is draconian without recourse to the courts.The problem with all of us (even if we know paying the fine is illegal)is that we are afraid to allow justice run it's full course and just pay whatever fine imposed on us,because we do not have time to challenge any illegality.

My vehicle was impounded  by the DPO at Alapere many years ago(because I confronted them for obstructing free flow of traffic) and I took him to court and at the end I won the case.However,I could have bribed to get my car released,but made sure I took him to court even though they tried to Lie against me.Lastma has never arrested me, and if they tried that, i would have taken the case to court.

Nairalanders should take the Lagos government to court, so that all the money they have collected should be returned to all those ever fined since what they collected was illegal in the first instance.
