6 months later, we are at 50m litres a day? so are we saying the CNG initiative is not having any impact? Why the rise in demand when the prices hasnt gone down drastically?
Nigeria is an aberration, the laws of demand and supply doesn't work here... Corruption is more powerful than the laws of economics |

JuanDeDios: That's just poor corporate culture. CBN needs to have a firm policy on this.
Reminds me of last year when I received money I was not expecting from someone I didn't know. I informed my bank and told them to get in touch with the sending bank and customer to have the money reversed, as I was sure a mistake had been made. They referred me to the sending bank. Those ones sef didn't send. It took about a month of me reminding them and threatening to write to CBN and NDIC before the money left my account. Whether they informed the sender or put it in their own pockets, only God knows. I sha played my part. You're bright bulb amidst the darkness eroding our nation, many wouldn't mind to utilize the funds some would've wait for a windows period of few days before accessing the funds if there's no show by the sender. There's hope for this country. |

franchasng: Its either they are operating a criminality based law in the North or this APC thief is lying for clout.
Let me educate you small.
You cannot walk into any Nigerian court to obtain a court order because you are not a lawyer and without following court filing process. You can only get court order through a lawyer because court order is the same thing as suing someone to obtain court judgment. Court order is court judgment on a matter, and it take nothing less than one month plus if followed legally and legitimately because the court must sit for at least 3 times before the Magistrate will issue the court order which is the final judgment. Court must sit to hear from the parties involved; Bashir Ahmad, the said Obi he transferred money to, and the receiver's bank. Court will serve them to invite them to the court hearings.
Court order is not an affidavit that you walk into a court to obtain immediately.
The same process involved in filing a court case is the same process involved in obtaining a court order because it's a court case.
The court will serve the bank of the person he mistakenly transferred the money to and also serve the person he mistakenly transferred the money to through the person's bank that have his details to come to the court and hear the case and answer for himself in case he did a business with Bashir Ahmad that warranted him making the transfer only to turn around to start asking the bank to reverse the transfer, this is possible, that is why court order is a long court process that involves inviting both the bank and the fund receiver to the court to answer for themselves.
You guys should stop discussing or supporting what you dont know okay? You might be damn right with the technicalities but here in the north, you can get court order within a second. If it take that long most funds would've been long gone (even without the technicalities, funds still get used or trapped with no success). I'm saying this based on what I know and I've seen not based on what I heard. |

JuanDeDios: This is not good enough. At all. I've been with clients who wanted recouping such and I can tell you for free, the success rate is measly 15% as most of the beneficiaries would've make away with the disputed funds. Some banks rarely swing to action if you notify them ASAP, they'd be like it's not the fault of their customers but the fault of the sender, hearing that statement alone weakens and dampen our morales. |

Business › Re: Man Has Refused To Return Money I Mistakenly Sent To Him -Bashir Ahmad Cries Out by jojothaiv(m): 9:49pm On Feb 18, 2025 |
He isn't even aware.
Most courts up north charge between 10-20% of the disputed funds. While in the case of probate order/deceased account, aside the fees pay for the letter of administration the court will still take their cut before distributing the money to the heirs of the deceased.
There's a caveat to presenting a court order to a Nigeria commercial bank, the court order doesn't guaranteed if one funds would be reversed bank if the beneficiary have already made use of the said funds, the least the bank would do is either to lien such sums for a maximum of two weeks (in extreme cases, PND might be sustained but this doesn't happen everyday). In the event that the beneficiary didn't fund the account with the disputed funds after two weeks, it's back to basic for the sender.
The system ain't straightforward as many think. |

Borno, just read about the unfortunate incident in faraway Benue state and the events there makes me wonder why all this and what are the effffing FG doing to stop this nonsense, until the country is gone before they wake up.
That's by the way and again I don't support FG stupid integration policy, I tip my hat to countries that know how to speak in the languages that all this bastards (terrorists, bandits, militants and the rest) understand, you dare not treat them with kid gloves, an eye for eye is what they understand but hell no, the so called government of musical chairs will keep integrating killers back into the society. |
