Reese Witherspoon Hit by Car While Jogging Reese Witherspoon is nursing a quarter-sized gash on her forehead after being hit by a car in Santa Monica during a late Wednesday morning jog. The Oscar-winning actress and avid runner, 35, was struck at an unmarked crosswalk at the intersection of 20th street and Georgina Avenue. The Walk the Line star "suffered minor injuries," according to the police report, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A witness at the accident site tells Us Weekly: "The driver seemed to have not seen her because of a large tree at the intersection, [Reese] was lucky, because it could have been much more serious." The driver, an 84-year-old woman who lives in Santa Monica, was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Lady GaGa has booked a New Year's gig. Ryan Seacrest announced on Thursday, September 8 that the "Judas" singer would be one of the performers on ABC's live "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve." "One of the things we're doing for Dick celebrating his 40th year hosting the event is having Lady GaGa perform live in Times Square right before the ball drops," Seacrest said. This would be the first time that GaGa takes part at the December 31 event. Seacrest will once again co-host but no other performers were announced. On a side note, it was revealed that Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas would be hosting the West side, from Los Angeles. http:///?p=2976 |

The situation around the departure is unclear, but Bartz has had a very rocky tenure in her 30 months at the company. It has been my pleasure to work with all of you and I wish you only the best going forward. Carol Several sources said the board, specifically Chairman Roy Bostock and Co-founder and director Jerry Yang, seems to have acted today, informing Bartz of the need to make a change.
