Malaysia exports $13.31 billion worth of palm oil in eight months -- News Report Me: One of the areas I give importance to is raising awareness among Nigerians on the necessity of developing the comatose and archaic Agricultural sector. From the above report Malaysia exports $13.31 billion worth of palm oil in eight months. This is close to what Nigeria earns from Crude Oil sales in the same period. It is important to note that Palm Oil originates from West Africa where it grows in the wild and later was developed into an Agricultural crop. Sadly, today Indonesia is the world largest producer of Palm Oil closely followed by Malaysia. Indonesia and Malaysia are by far the largest palm oil producing nations. Together they account for 85-90 percent of the total production of this vegetable oil. Other important producing countries are Colombia, Nigeria and Thailand. Correction: There is this fraudulent rumor that the late Premier of the Northern region, Sardauna of Sokoto, took Palm Oil seedlings to Malaysia. This is not true. Palm Oil was introduced to Malaysia, then Malaya, by the British in early 1870's as an ornamental plant. Conclusion: Nigeria and by extension West Africa should wakeup and double Palm Oil production in the region. While other nations of the world are making progress and advancing, we are moving backwards with underdevelopment. Unfortunately, this is our sad reality... #ElbinawiTweets |

people. ADVERTISING He said that Nigeria does not need a novice as president, but an experienced politician to lead it in the 2023 general election. He advised that Nigerians should do away with ethnoreligious politics in this 21st century, and come together as one united people for the progress of the country. Speaking in an interview on the forthcoming general election and the state of the nation, Gumi said there was nothing wrong with politicians contesting elections several times, seeking victory. On Atiku Abubakar, he said “Nigeria needs an experienced politician. We don’t need a novice to be President. The situation in Nigeria today needs an experienced politician to solve it,” he said. On Tinubu who said it is his turn to be President, Sheikh Gumi said, “it is not proper for him to say it is his turn. There is no question to saying it is my turn. Don’t say it is my turn because if people like you they will vote for you. He is a good administrator, he can do it. The Muslim-Muslim ticket is unnecessary.” “We all know, all these politicians are looking for votes. The Muslim-Muslim ticket is, let me use Hausa language, is wayo (deceit). It is not religion. Whether it will work or not, I don’t want to prophesize, but there are a lot of hurdles. In fact, all political parties have hurdles. Muslim-Muslim ticket is going to be a laboratory test for others to emulate or not”. On Peter Obi, he said “youths following him are divided like the adults. He needs to reach out to other segments of Nigerians. Relying on youths is not enough. He has to be all over the place, and not leaving politics to one region”. Sheikh Gumi warned that if an inexperienced politician is voted into power, he will find it difficult to assemble the best brains within a possible time framework to set the nation working progressively. Sheikh Gumi noted that it took President Muhammadu Buhari over six months to appoint Ministers and government officials because he (Buhari) was an inexperienced politician. “Nigeria is now in the 21st century, people are more educated now. What Nigeria needs now are people with competency. We should not be talking about the North because the North is no longer monolithic, we should not be talking about the Southwest because no particular person is in control, and we should not be talking about South East, look at how Senator Ifeanyi Uba was attacked by his own people. “So let’s talk about Nigeria as one united people. Nobody controls anybody in the country. So let’s move forward. Look at America, nobody is talking about power rotation. Let’s develop a democracy that we can sustain”. He added. He said social injustice and poverty were responsible for insecurity in the country, adding that seven years into President Buhari’s government, almost every Nigerian is feeling the pains of socio-economic hardship in the country. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/09/2023-muslim-muslim-ticket-is-deceit-we-need-experienced-leader-gumi/ |
With the backing of the Airforce, Nigerian military troops have eliminated scores of Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Somalia. Naija News understands that Somalia, is a location near Sambisa Forest, believed to be where the terrorists have a medical facility and where their wounded fighters as well as those critically ill, are attended to. The Airforce, using Super Tucano jets, also raided Abdallari, a terrorist enclave located Northeast of Maiduguri. Several terrorists were also neutralized, and structures destroyed by the bombardments. Speaking to PRNigeria, intelligence sources disclosed that in Niger and Kaduna State, the Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch carried out onslaughts on the terrorists’ hideout. He said: “For instance, strikes were undertaken in Kaduna on 7 September 2022 following series of intelligence from various sources on terrorists’ hideouts at Gidan Waya, in Chikun Local Government Area (LGA). “There, the Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch discovered terrorists’ structures hidden under clusters of trees at the location with terrorists’ activities noticed within the vicinity. “Subsequently, the targets were acquired and attacked with bombs. Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) footages and feedback from locals as well as Nigerian Army troops deployment within the location revealed that the terrorists’ hideouts were destroyed, while several terrorists were neutralized or suffered varying degrees of injuries.” When contacted, NAF Spokesperson, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet confirmed the strikes in all the operating theatres. He stated that, “For the NAF, its ability to continually dominate troubled parts of the country in collaboration with the surface forces in order to eliminate terrorist elements and restore normalcy should never be in doubt. “Nigerians are enjoined to continue to provide security agencies with credible intelligence that will enable the agencies track and neutralize the terrorists and all criminal elements especially as schools across the nation prepare to resume.” Source: https:///Airforce-Troops-Raid-Somalia-In-Sambisa-Kill-Many-ISWAP-Terrorists |
