I believe there would be more than enough voters that would volunteer to hotspot the device in the event the presiding officer claims there is no network.

Before your "Kazeem" disconnected the wire from the thermostat, was the fam kicking in after the engine had run for some time? And going off on its own after running for some time even when the engine is still running?
If yes, reverse that connection your "Kazeem" did.
After the reversal, let the engine idle for some time to see if the fan will kick in while your eyes ar on the temperature gauge to ensure it doesn't get to the red zone.

If it kicks in at about 90 -100 degrees and goes off when the guage returns to 85-90 degree, it means you are good.

The engin cooling temperature is not supposed to start running immediately the engine starts running
