Elxandre: even hard reset can't!

bro are u sure I wldnt loose my WP8.1 update if i do a hard reset? I'm asking cos I don't hv a huge data plan to re-download d update

Elxandre: try attaching a voice note to an SMS.
playback the voice note, how does it sound?
try recording through your earphone's mouthpiece too, is it clear?

And are you sure when you make phone calls, its really clear at the other side?


You can find hard reset in settings>about>hard reset.

if you have the data, try backing up your phone before proceeding!

I've tried attaching a voice note to an SMS and its d same (noisy) u wldnt even hear a voice, I've recorded through an earphone and its clear. My phone is d Lumia 925. What do I do nw? Hard reset? Will it resolve d issue? Wldnt I loose my update?

my calls are clear on d other side, I also make calls with an earpiece and its clear, contana/voice commands works with ear piece bt without it, it doesn't work. I'll try d voice note in an SMS and see if it's clear

Elxandre: I think there's nothing wrong with your phone. Maybe you should try calling with another network!
When you try recording with whatsapp, is it noisy too?
If it is, try a soft reset. If soft reset doesn't work, I'm afraid you may have to hard reset your phone.

recording in WhatsApp makes noise too. I've soft reset and it didn't solve d problem. How is a hard reset done? I've NT tried calling with another network didn't wanna go cutting another sim.

Unseen: Bro. What do you mean by can't record. WP 8 and above don't allow call recording. If you have such app. Remove it and try again.

not as an app. I can't make call while d phone is on loudspeaker or record a message in WhatsApp. If do, d recipient wld only hear noise. I hv a recorder app here shaa. Bt dats nt ma concern.

Guys pls I need help. I can't make call on loud speaker in my Lumia 925. I can't record. If I do d other party wld be hearing noises. This started recently and I'm freaking out abt it. If I'm making a normal call, d person hears me Bt once I put d phone on loud speaker, he wld seize to hear my voice and wld b hearing a loud noise. Guys please how do I resolve dis issh?

runzlord: I dont knw. Im not in owerrI. try out big intreats or hotels. But just incase u cant. Just find another phone that has 3G and can tether hotspot via wifi. Then buy MTN or ETISALAT 3Gigabyte night plan. On the orther phone. At night by 9pm. one the 3G network. Tether through wifi hotspot. Use ur phone to find the signal and download the update. Remb th o put a password unless anoda person fit update all his games and pc on ur expense. U cant finish the 3 gig so u can use it to update apps and download new ones too.

talktimi: have you tried usin a laptop as your wifi hotspot ? Or you can buy a mobile/mini wifi unit from any good computer store or any telecom providers main office

I think I Shld look for another phone with WiFi hotspot. My laptop cld find a WiFi and browse with it bt a WiFi cannot find it. I have tried and tried. Dunno what to do to d system again.

Feraz: An OS upgrade will fix that. Since I updated to WP8.1, the issue of overheating stopped though it reduced in the case of gaming.

kinesis: u probably need to just upgrade the os and see if the problem persists.

Pls I need assistance here. I'm using a Lumia 925 bt my phone gets terribly hot while I'm browsing around d earpiece region which is same location with d charging port. What can I possibly do to stop dis? Tnx in advance

Elxandre: I don't think its possible saving videos to SD card from UC BROWSER.
I eventually found a way though, but I don't think its necessary posting it, since Wp8.1 could correct this anomaly.

If anyone needs the bypass I used anyways, just ask.
